I paced the floor, blade dripping with blood. Steven and I circled each other, eyes narrow, ready. "Don't make me do this, Sloane", he called.
"Never! We will finish it here, my love! Only one of us will leave", I yelled back. His face fell and he slumped his shoulders. "You are a fallen angel, and I... I cannot save you."
I looked to the fallen Shadow Serpent. Its black blood was trickling down into the cracks on the floor. "You are not ready. I will kill you." Steven was distressed. His green eyes darting around the room. "Acara..." The high set windows of the room shook as thunder rumbled from the storm.
"If you can kill me, then do it. I am not afraid. I will die like a Haven. Your mother killed my father as you will kill me." Blue scales leapt out all over my arms and stopped at the base of my neck. "I've been touched by a Dragon. A true Dragon, boy." My words were harsh, yet I did not care. This man was no longer in my heart. We had loved each other once, so long ago. I had followed him into a trap and been kept as a prisoner. He was no longer loved by myself.
"Then let us begin!", he hollered.
I bowed. "As you wish." He screamed and charged my. He ran through me as I jumped over his head, landing lightly on my feet. "Ashrate!" His palm glowed and he aimed at my head.
"Scaraterra!", I screamed in desperation. The silver jet of power that had been hurtling toward me, turned and wizzed through the air, striking Steve in the chest. While he was on the ground, I ran full force at the wall. I grabbed onto a torch case and began working my way up into the rafters. I belong on the ground!, I thought looking down at the floor, at least fifty feet below. "Ahhhhhh!" I jumped. Folding myself into a ball, blasting my feet out under me.
My sword came down on his head and a large gash appeared. "Secara atri Rasoras!" Again his palm lit up. I gaped in terror at what came up behind him.
"Steven, what are you doing!" Towering behind him was Rasoras, the largest Basalisk, I had ever seen. "Lokara!" I pointed at the lock on the port cullis and it raised slowly. Rasoras struck at me and I ran, rolling under the spiked archway. It slammed shut after me.
I fell onto the floor. "What have I done?", I murmured. "What have I started?"
Staring down at my hands, tears leaked from my eyes.

okay, here ya go:

My head slumped down onto my chest. I couldn't see very far down the corridor. Rain was splattering against the windows. Tears ran down my cheeks. "I'm sorry, father. I couldn't do it", I sobbed. "I still...I don't know! My feelings don't even matter anymore!" I pulled my knees up against my chest and rested my head on them. "Why would he do this? What's happening."
I remembered all the time we'd spent together. Looking for the Dragon eggs, hunting for answers, unlocking the past. Why had he decieved me?
"I should make it stop..." I pulled out my knife and was just about to slit my throat when the port cullis opened and many voices filled my head. I dropped the knife and fell onto my side, hitting my head with a sharp thud.

Steven looked down at her, lying bleeding on the floor. He tilted his head to one side. "Why did you leave me? Why didn't you listen?" He knelt and picked her up. He walked down the hall, passing Toxica and Toxina.
"Is she dead?" hissed Toxina. "She was sooo stubborn, when I tried to kill her." She smiled, showing her pointed teeth. Faintly, her leathery, black wings beat on her back.
Toxica hissed. "Your mother will be pleassssed..." Steven took no notice of either of them and cotinued down the hall.
He stopped in front of his chamber. He pushed the door open with his boot. He adjusted Sloane in his arms and walked into the room. He whispered something under his breath. He laid her on the bed and strode back into the hall, locking the door. He banged his head on the wall. "I'm so sorry, Sloane. I let you down. I killed your heart. I killed us! Both of us..." Tears leaked from his eyes and blood trickled down his forehead. "Damn it!"

Shadora looked into the glass and smiled. "This is marvelous. Draconis, you may have given them some of your talent...or your foolishness."
She gazed down at the girl, lying on her son's bed. "Selena, you must not care anymore. You must've given up. So be it."
Shadora dropped the crystal and walked into the Darkness. She appeared before Steven's chamber.
"Lokara..." The door unlocked and swung open. She strode over to Sloane. "Well, well Princess, have we been in pain?" She smiled wickedly. Reaching into her dress, she pulled out a dagger. "Good night...Princess." In one fluid movement, she drew the blade against Sloane's throat.
She shuddered and her body jerked, then she lay still.
"It is done..."
"Mother! What are you-" Shadora looked over her shoulder, Steven stood in the doorway. Shock and terror, playing on his face. "You witch!" He screamed. He jumped at her, his teeth barred.
She flicked her wrist and he froze in front of her face. "You should never have come! You foolish boy! Look at what you've caused!" she shrieked.
More tears filled his eyes as he looked dwon at his Princess, lying motionless in the bed.
I'm sorry..., Sloane gasped through their link.
NO!
He broke free of his mother's spell and ran to Sloane. He held onto her as her heart seemed to lose all its light. "No...I won't leave you...Never." He kissed her brow.
Shadora smiled grimly. "Look what you've done...You had to love the Light!" Then she disappeared.

I awoke in a valley. "Where-" Faintly, I could feel a mind trying to connect with my own. "Am I still angry with him? I can't remember anything!" I stood and turned in a circle. Everything flooded back into my mind.
"No...I can't...He can't...She couldn't have..." I fell to my knees. I closed my eyes, wishing it all away. "Please...Ease my pain! Fyrius! Glaice! Where are you?!"
When I looked up again, the valley was gone. Under my knees was hot, multen rock. Flames lept from a large sea before me. Black birds circled overhead.
"What is this?" I stood and began to walk toward a gnarled tree. One image filled my mind. I knew it was true. Steven was bent over my body, screaming at the world. His pain was fresh.
"Steven? Die or live? Where are you?!" I ran faster, my mind reeling.
