Unless Eragon marries Arya (which i hope doesn't happen), Eragon will not marry anyone, and he will be all alone except for Saphira, who is all he needs anyone. Because what type of child wants to grow up with a dragon rider as a father? Way too much expectations.

Not only would Eragon marrying someone distract him from his duties, but unless he married someone semi-immortal like him, he would end up just getting his heart broken when they die and he lives on for 1,000s of years......

I still think he will get married due to what Angela said. CP put that in there for a reason and its important enough for him to continue on it. after all Angela is based off CP's sister . Yes the elves marry but its a Very Rare occasion due to their long lives. I Remember seeing Arya talking about it once. It is almost as rare as elves having Children. Marriage in the elves eyes is one of the highest ways to show devotion towards their lovers.

But if you look closely in "Brisngr" CP throws a few details in there that makes it look like she is coming around and really has feelings for him. But remember this, Arya doesn't want Eragon to get distracted from the task at hand. So she may very well love him as well and not want to show it because of fear it will mess up what she has been working on for Seventy Years. I'm going to Re-read Brisngr over the next few days and I'll quote and wright down anything that looks of importance to this subject.

That isn't CP's style I think, why would they marry, Eragon can never gein the experience Ayrea has had and he can never becom as wise as her. He would be nothing but a place holder for Faloin(sp?) Ayrea's first mate.

and with all he has learned and gone through he is probably to the point where he would be equal to falion at his death....You have to remeber eragon is experiencing for two beings one which is more ancient than most creatures...he will eventually surpass her....and all your arguments cannot be based on the fact that you think she is gonna die in the final battle
