Ya Thorn is the best, he could easily beat Glaedr considering he isn't as nimble as Saphira or Thorn and he might be able to be Saphira considering from the one chapter you read about him he seems to have more of that fiercesome male macho type of thing (no offense to Saphira she's kick arse too!!)

Saphira is colored Blue and i like Blue, so i voted her 1st on the line. i like red, too... and Thorn is kinda cute {heehee} but- Saphira is kinda playful, which is more endearing.

Thorn is kinda mysterious and "matured" for a young dragon. uhm... well... i can just speculate. im not really sure about that. i havent been to one of Murtagh's trainings to be so sure about Thorn's behavior. hehehe.

overall... i like dragons. whatever color, whoever owns them...

thorn is awesome. don't get me wrong. saphira and glaedr are cool too. but i just can't visualize them like i can thorn.

Yeah, I like dragons no matter what! I don't believe that Thorn really wanted to work for Galbatorix, that was just where he was when he hatched.

I thought that the color they chose for the background,-- you know the rest of the cover, not the background of the dragon's picture-- was too bright for the dragon. Like, the other day, i was looking at the Eldest cover, and Thorn looked almost pale because of the bright background. Has anyone else seen that?

what country is your book from cause where i come from the backround color makes Thorn look darker.

Some copies are darker then others my Eragon one is really dark and my Eldist one is really light but my friends books are just the oppisite.

Saphiras my FAVORITE. I think her and Eragon ROCK this world.

I could not choose between what dragon is best because they are all the greatest! without one is like a peace missing from a puzzel never complete unless you have 100% of it.

I fave glaedr... he's just like oromis but in a dragon form. And saphira more like the combination of eragon and angela in a dragon form. I don't know anything yet about thorn..

Yeah, I don't like what they did to him. And I'm not sure, but Shuikan probably does not like Galby 'cuz he took Shruikan out of the wild and probably forces him to do things he doesn't like.

I reckon most dragon's are too strong minded to do anything against their will, but galby is strong and uses dark magic, so, i dunno.

I am goin to be quite blunt with u all but I hate thorn and murtugh. They maybe only pupets of galby but i cant stand that such a new rider completly PWNED lol Eragon and saphira. I know all of u say he was tired after the fight but did that stop him from killing durza? No I dont believe he was that tired at all and when he talked to Nausada he told her he was much stronger than him. GOD murtogh is human and a new rider and Eragon is an elf now and a medium experienced rider and he should have been able to spank murtogh. Remember how sucky Eragon was in the first book and he only gained major power after his transformation. Also people say that it was due to galby training him but i dont believe he would have progressed so quickly as well for being a human. lol... the skinny ass neck strangling is sounding a bit wrong... and books are essentially made with complications and resolutions. The book would be pretty sad if eragon was born and owned the urgal army and galbatorix, then lived happily ever after... I thought that the fact that murtagh was so strong and had such inhumanly powerful magic just emphasised how strong galbatorix really was... which will make Empire even better when Eragon manages to triumph over him.

Exactly... Beside, there are some basic rules in suspense.
We would not be here if the end was obvious, and if every character's tasks were easy...

the fact that Murtagh knows his own name only gives him greater control over himself. It does not give him greater control over other persons. The fact that Murtagh knew his true name would not have given him the power to control saphira apart from maybe a greater hold over magic. The book does not even mention that Murtagh knows his true name - only that Galbatorix did, although the implication is that Murtagh knew his name. but it is very vague, so it is hard to assume things

but with more controll over yourself you DO become stronger so the fact that he is so strong so quickly that makes the story plausible

if i had to choose any dragon that is my favorite then id have to pick Saphira. But i actually like all the dragons

Of course all dragons are awesome, that's just the way the pie-chart of my likeness pans out for them. I really want to see a lot of Shruikan in the 3rd book, I bet he's HUGE and really strong. Or maybe he's weak because Galbatorix preys on his power. Either way I just feel sorry for the guy. Glaedr is cool, and I like him, but he isn't my favorite.
