 how did eragon lose to the leatherblaka?how on earth did eragon lose to the leatherblake? eragon has the physical capabilities of an elf! he could have (with his inhuman reflexes) killed them with magic!

What do you mean how did Eragon lose to the lethrblaka? Is that part of the preview? That's just crap! 'Course, you have to bring into consideration their raunchy smell.

The letherblaka was not aware that Eragon, Saphira and Roran were in the lair. As I understood it, the three were inside the lair when one Lethrblaka "hurtled out of the lancet passageway: and the seven feet long beak of the thing (and even though Saphira tried to evade it, she couldn't ) so the thing clashed into Saphira's side. Eragon was half off her and with the impact of the Lethrblaka he was sent against the wall, and then he banged his head again and that's where it ends.. So I am assuming she did not lose to it. The thing ran into Saphira and Eragon was thrown off!

the excerpt was only there to get u excited about book 3. Eragon will win this fight and probably easily. CP is just using this as a cliffhanger to make others look forward to the new book

I cant tell weather he won or lost or what. What happened to Roran, maybe he'l' take it out. Merala Anawan, its times like these that make me belive your sig. with every fiber of my being. but hten books wouldnt be any fun. so ultimatlly cliff hanggers are cool... sorta.

ok let me see if i can sort this out.
1.The chapter is so jumbled i cant tell weather Eragon won, or lost. 2.I lost track of Roran. Maybe he will kill the letherblaka. 3.It's times like these that make me belive Merala Anawan's Signature which is: "Clifhangers should be wiped form the face of the earth. 4. But without cliff hanggers, books would be no fun. 5. so ultimatlly cliff hangers are cool... sorta sorry. it made sense in my mind. i have to work on getting more out of my mind and onto the screen. but some of my posts are like 40 lines long when i take too much out. gotta find a happy medium. |

Any way that small prortion seemed pretty clear to me nothing had occured to Eragon only Saphira who was attakced by on of the Letherbalkas (Ten it ended their so no one nessiarly won or lost or unless you consider whom ever made the frirst assult the winner) But as for Roran was he even mentioned at all during that small sneak preview?_________________ " KNOWLEDGE IS POWER! Saphira was attacked and throw across the cave, as was eragon, from what i could tell. and yes roran was mentioned. When they were fflying he told Roran not to hold his waist to tight. along with the part saying they got on saphira together...

This is a perfect example of how the same text came be interpreted differently by every person:
What I understood: 1. Helgrind was illusioned 2. Eragon sensed a slave and two people alive in the cave 3. Eragon & Saphira were cautiously exploring the cave 4. the lethrblaka flew into the cave, (but was not aware of them being in the cave) 5. Saphira tried to evade it, but there was not enough space 6. the letherblaka crashed into Saphira's side 7. Eragon had unbuckled his leg belts and the impact (of the lethrblaka crashing into Saphira and Eragon) sent him reeling in the air 8. the impact sent him back first, against the cave's wall, then he banged his head against the stone a 2nd time and lost consciousness. _________________ ~.~.~.~.~.~ |

thanks annie. thats what i was thinking except i think the letherblaka was already in the cave. either way it rran into saphirah and threw eragon into the wall...
