Vena
And here is the other sibling. XD Yet another character. And I have one more, too. Like I need anymore.lol
Name: Vena
Age: Few months, will grow through rp's.
Gender: Female
Skills: Screech; This ability is common among Gryphons. The screech is very much similar to a high-pitched shriek, but shriller and more piercing to the ears. It can stun/deafen any twoleg nearby, though it is a bit more dramatic with dragons, or anything else with sensitive hearing. For a dragon, it first sends a sharp pain through the skull, commonly incapacitating because of how sudden and piercing it is. In some cases it can even drive a dragon unconscious, but this only happens if the screech is continuous. Vena's Screech is shriller than her mother's though this only makes it more affective. However, shriller pitch means it has a greater affect on her while she uses it. Though she trains with her mother, she can still only keep it going for a steady thirty seconds before her headache becomes too intense for her to continue.
Stealth; Vena's obsidian black coloring gives her the advantage in the shadows. She trains with her mother to perfect this ability, and already she can move from one room to another with only the lightest of sounds. Her forefeet are the real challenge; she hasn't figured out a way to muffle the click of her talons, though she is working on a specific gait she can use so she can almost literally float soundlessly from one place to another.
Telekinetic Thought; Vena inherited this from her father, and though it is a type of telekinesis, it is unique for her. If she can get inside someones mind, she can manipulate what they have thought or are thinking at that moment. It takes a bit of energy and concentration, and she must have eye contact for it to work. If the one she is trying to manipulate has a strong enough mental barrier or a resistant will, they may break from her control. In practice she can keep this up for a good five minutes before she has to stop and rest. In battle it has yet to be tested, though she believes she will only be able to do half or less of that time, as she will be concentrating on fighting more than manipulating.
Race: Gryphon
Hair: Look at physical description.
Eyes: Look at physical description.
Home Village: Mountain monastery in Danthuania
Parents: Sevena; Mother, Fletcher; Father
Siblings: Tas, younger brother (only by a few minutes)
Character Personality: Out of her and her brother, Tas, she is the trouble-maker of the two. She pokes into everything, even if she knows it will bite back, and is very curious of everything that she sees. She drags her brother into trouble with her if she can, mostly because she knows he wants to come along but just doesn't want to risk the anger of their parents. She usually protects him when they get in trouble, always taking the full heat of the scolding and following punishment. She doesn't mind, not really. She's his sister, and if one is picky, older than him by at least five minutes, so she's the older sibling that has to look out for him. Although she is curious, approaching on insanely curious, she can be very serious when she needs to be. A few monks of the monastery have even asked how old she is because she can act so mature and adult-like in the situations that really need her full attention or cooperation. She has tried to curb her curious streak, but something inside her always rebels at the self-restraint, and she always ends up breaking free and becoming the nosy little hatchling once more. She tries not to be a bother, especially to those that might actually be annoyed by her, like Natagath, but occasionally she will see or hear him doing something that makes her feathers itch with the need to know why. Violeta has made several comments that she believes Vena might be a scholar of sorts when she grows up, because of her curious nature. In the few times that her curious nature has gotten them both into bad trouble, she is very protective of her brother. She doesn't have much of a temper, as she never truly gets angry enough to have a temper, but mess with her brother and you are guaranteed to be shredded into by this vicious tigress.
Character History: Vena, being as young and fiercely protected as she is, has had a very mundane childhood. After hatching, only a few hours after being laid, she remembers seeing the kind green eyes of her mother, and then her father. She loved them both at once. And then Violeta and Natagath, whom she began to think of as her Aunt and Uncle or Godparents of a sort. When she first tried to walk, she was so wobbly she could barely stand. Natagath was the one to help her, steadying her gently so she could walk more than two paces without falling. Once she learned she could use her wings for balance, however useless they might have been for flight, she was able to get around much better. And then her brother was born, and she was delighted that she had a playmate. She and her brother are close, hip-to-hip one might say. They train together, play together, tease each other, and are usually seen side-by-side wherever they go. At one time when they were exploring the monastery on their own, they encountered, strangely, a huge rat-type creature, almost as big as they were. It went for Tas, and she went into a raging frenzy. She didn't really go crazy, she just got really focused and deadly. By the time she was finished, the rat was dead. She was surprised but pleased with herself, and went about the monastery with a proud tilt to her head, although she never really got the nerve up to tell her parents about what she'd done, mostly because they'd been in a part of the monastery that her mother and father had restricted them from, and evidently for good reason. After this they went down into the valley below the monastery. Vena was excited and a bit nervous about this, as she had never been outside before, except for in the courtyard outside the dragon keep. She and Tas were playing together out of sight of their parents, as abruptly a cave bear lumbered into view. Before she could screech a warning to her parents, a bolt of ice shot from Tas, freezing the bear solid. They both were scolded for leaving the area, but the discovery of Tas's ability made for little punishment. It has been shown in Vena that she will only be able to speak with her mind, but she inherited Telekinetic Thought from her father, and thinks it an even trade. She practices with her brother every day in flight, combat, and learning about her kind.
Weapons: Claws, talons, beak, Screech
Likes: Her parents, Tas, Violeta, Natagath, the monastery, sunbathing with her family.
Dislikes: Vanquishers, her feathers getting wet.
Fear: That she will lose her parents or brother.
Weakness: She is more susceptible than most to the Screech, both the verbal one of her mother and the mental one of her father.
Animal Companions: She wants a Tamen from her mother's homeland, but doubts she will ever be able to go to Tenya.
Character's Physical Description: Vena's eagle feathers are a deep and luscious obsidian black that shines and glitters in the sun, though they turn into dark shadows at night. Her lion fur is also the same black. In very bright sunlight, they almost seem to be streaked with dark blue, however this is only a trick of the light. Her eyes are a dazzling and sharp emerald green, bright and enigmatic. She is perhaps slightly bigger than the average house or farm dog; one and a half feet tall at the shoulder and three feet long from beak to tail tip. Her wingspan is a healthy four feet wide. Though she is still young and continues to grow constantly.
Dreams for the Future: Explore Alagaësia, Danthuania, and Tenya.
Reason for Dreams: She's curious and a notorious adventurer.
Alignment/Side: Her family.
Side Note: Her 'raging frenzy' that comes over her when her brother is in a sort of danger is not actual anger or rage, it is simply a state she falls into that she is intensely focused and deadly, though she is not empowered in any way either.
