I think Vanir is awesome, but some people (Saphirarox) hate him. What o you think of him?

I like vanir, but he pissed me off with his cockiness toward Eregon

his taunts were justified, i mean eragon was weak and hopless at the time

I know but his taunts went a little to far, Eregon was weak and hopeless and injured but they were just insulting and he was serious

i personally dnt like vanir bcos of the way he traeted Eragon and Saphira, i think however he will help them in someway in Empire, he may even become the next rider to compete against Eragon, but i dnt no (sorry about the speelings, i have a crap keyboard as i am at skool during 1 of my lessons )

You posted that just to rile me, didn't you? If you did, it worked. I haven't said anything against Vanir since I did on that thread. But then I saw this poll and I cast my vote. Still, I didn't say anything. Then I happened to read what you posted. I have successfully kept my vendetta to myself, but you are the one who keeps bringing it up. Just give it a rest already.

vanir was mean to saphira and eragon because he though that they would doom the world because eragon was crippled ( his back ) and he was just mad because he didnt think that eragon and saphira would be able to defeat galbotorix (sp)..

they still might not be able to

ya.. but they still have a better chance because eragon got healed by the elfs gifts of the dragons.. so they are even more likley to defeat galbotorix then they did when he was crippled

Vanir still whould have trouble helping Eragon, considering that Murtagh could stand up agianst Eragon in his elf human form. To Mutagh, Vanir is probably pretty helpless, except for the power of his magic. The only uses that I think that Vanir could paly is his experience with magic or just distract Murtagh with insults, since he is good with that.

once vanir heals he would own murtagh in the face

The dragons' magic made Eragon's abilities up to par with the elves', no more. Elves have already been changed by the Dragons' magic, the humans' have not. They basically did for Eragon what had already been done for all of teh Elves, which was the extent of their power. Eragon won because of his technical skill, not from Saphira's power, which he didn't tap into when they fought.

I highly doubt that. Eragon has much stronger mental ability, and his physical surpasses Vanirs, no matter what he does.

What keener of sight? Eragon is a rider, and even if Vanir gets stronger, Eragon could break his midnd easily.

Magic has nothing to do with mind breaking. His mind is moe secure and stronger. And you forget, Vanir is quite young, somewhere about 50, im guessing.

Their strengths are equal, but Eragon is stronger of mind and techincal swordsmanship. But a sword isnt all Eragon uses Hint Hint.
