I don't think I have ever heard anyone say that guys are confusing before. Maybe indecipherably stupid, but not confusing...

Why not just say, "Why, you look absolutely stunning! You look very beautiful." And then flash a winning smile at her. Maybe crack a joke or two, and generally sound like a person who has a sense of humor, but can be honest and sincere at the same time.

All I can say is that I'm a guy, and I don't really find girls confusing at all. They're just different. They do and think differently, and that's what makes them great (and bad sometimes, but mostly great). Sometimes they're crazy, or whatever, but do you really think that they don't think that about us? Most people sit there and wonder why the other doesn't seem interested, but it's because they're not sure about what the other is thinking (as stated in the above statement).


But hey, what do I know? My gf is dead...


But I really don't get the whole chocolate thing. Most girls are so concerned about their figures, yet they want chocolate??? hmmmm....

they're not confusing. you've just got to always be there for them, and listen to them. thats it. even if they don't like you, if they try to share something with you, and you listen, they'll appreciate it enough to think twice about you. and be yourself; girls normally hate it when you put up an act. if they don't like you for who you are, then they're not worth liking.

well....when you get girls like that, that's their problem. they should make up their minds. i mean, if you blatantly ask them, "Do you like me?" or "Do you want to go out?" and they say, "No." then they shouldn't flirt with you. If they were too nervous and didn't know what to say, well...they can't expect us to read that "No" meant "Yes", can they?



oh, and another thing that I don't get. What's up with all the time they spend getting ready? I understand that they have to do their makeup, their hair, etc., but is it really necessary to take that much time? In my opinion, I find girls with regular (sorry, couldn't find a better adjective) hair more attractive, jeans and T-shirt is my style (especially since I haven't worn anything else since I was 10. It's averages 90 around here, too), and I believe makeup hides inner beauty, which is what really counts.



But what do I know??

Girls and guys aren't that different really, just society's expectation is.

Personally I know only a handful of girls that take that much time, I love putting my hair in a ponytail and being done with it. I ride horses, play with my animals and taking all that time to just get dirty is stupid. I live in Texas where it's about one o' one right now so not all girls take that much time.

I don't get why guys think it's as complex as yes means no. When I say no, I mean it and when I say yes I mean it. I hate leading a guy on and then not going out with him, it takes too much time and confusing, so basically not all girls do that.

Exactly true, the stereotypical "girl" does not represent all girls. Makeup, staying spotless, being confusing, not being intellegent, and all those other things. Some girls are like that, but certainly not all or even most.

Same with the stereotypical "guy" do not represent all guys. Lack of manners, emotional range of a teaspoon, the macho tendencies, simplicity, and all those other things. Some guys are like that, but certainly not all or even most.

My theory on this perception is what the media puts forward onto its many outlets. Everyone must be beautiful, fashion concious, not too smart, not too dumb. You all get the picture. Our society of superficialities.

im not saying that everyone is like that (im glad they're not) im just saying that im in a large city, and i see too much of what you were talking about. it drives me insane.
but i do agree. a person whos their own person is definitely more attractive than someone who succumbs to what everyone else is doing.

Like you said sj(and others), it's probably that guys just don't always take the time to listen. And to understand, or at least make the attempt. Hell, I know I do it. Probably one of those things that can work both ways as well. Girls not listening too and all that. But I'd have to say guys don't listen more.
