I. General Information
What is the SaphiraForums RPG Compeition?
The SaphiraForums Role-Playing Game Competition (RPGC) is a project devised by the RPG Team to try to provide an incentive to our most dedicated role-players. We'd also like to see many new RPers joining our RPG during the competition, which we hope will become a repeating event. While we have mainly serious events (Best Post, Best Thread, etc.), but we're also revealing quite a few fun events as the competition progresses. Don't hesitate. Join today!
What events are going to be in the competition?
Best Post, Best Thread, Best Character, Most Active Role-player, Longest Post, and Most Originality. Five more categories will be revealed in time. (See below for more information about each event.)
What do I get for competing in the competition?
We are glad to say that each participant will get something. Not much, but something. Every single person who submits an application for the RPG Competition will recieve a complementary SaphiraForums RPGC Signature and/or avatar. Avatars and Signatures will also be made for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for each category, as well as overall. We have more, and better, rewards being planned, but they're not absolute, and thus won't be announced. Yet. 
II. Categories
A. Best Post
Best post is a ranking of the most entertaining, structured, and overall "best" post.
Judged for:
40% Content/Originality
30% Fluency(How well it fits into the storyline)
15% Grammar
15% Length
B. Best Thread
The best idea for a thread, which is credited to whomever starts the topic.
Judged for:
35% Thread Originality
35% Popularity
15% Starting IC Post
15% Entire Thread's Posts
C. Best Character
The best character bio. You may submit a previously approved bio, or a new one just for the competition, but you need to make at least one post with your character to be judged.
Judged for:
30% History
25% Overall Effect
15% Character Usage
15% Personality
15% Background Information (Parents, Siblings, Skills, etc.)
D. Longest Post
The longest post any role-player makes. This category is mainly for fun, but you still need to make a good post.
Judged for:
60% Length
15% Content/Originality
15% Fluency
10% Overall Content
E. Most Active Role Player
The most active Role-player throughout the duration of the competition. Will be calculated by dividing the role-player's posts per day divided by total posts per day, only in the RP section, obviously.
F. Most Originality
This is simply a category decided by the judges as to the role player whose posts sport the most originity throughout the whole competition. There is no official rubric.
G. Special Categories
These five categories will be purely for fun. For everyone. They'll be judged as the judges see fit, but once you see what they are, you'll see why we can't give you an official rubric. 
II. Rules & Guidelines
1. You must have an accepted RPG character to participate post in any RPGC Topic.
2. You must have an approved application with your character in the RPGC Application topic to be judged for any RPGC Category.
3. With the exception of the official RPG Team, no judge may judge him or herself. The RPG Team is trusted to make honest decisions; any controversy may be PM'd to me or Shade of Fear.
4. Posts should follow all regular RPG Guidelines.
5. Most Special Categories are exempt from many RPG Guidelines, but please try to observe them as much as possible.
6. Only posts inside an RPGC thread count toward Best Post, Most Originality, etc.

To Start an RPGC Thread
All you really need to do is add "RPGC -" to the topic of your thread. However, it would be wonderful if it looked something like this, to help us out:
