okay, so ive been wanting to start this topic for a while, but i just havent, but now i have.



this is a place where you can talk about anything that has to do with the new spyro trilogy, and a place where you can get hyped up about the new one coming out this fall.



oh, and get hyped up about the MOVIE coming out......i hope thats good......it looks kinda weird. like spyro and cynder look waaaaaaaay too huge......



but, lets try and keep this to the new spyro stuff......i guess its okay sometimes to talk about the old spyro games. but mainly this is about spyro: a new beggining (worst game ever. too much fighting. just take two steps, fight monkeys, two more steps, fight more monkeys....) and spyro: eternal night (best game ever. harder fighting and more thinking involved) and the upcoming spyro: dawn of the dragon (looking forward to it being awesome. i mean, come on, flying whenever you want, co-op with CYNDER. o-m-g, thats gonna be AWESOME!!!!) and maybe the new spyro movie....



okay, that was kinda repetitive. but anyway, this is the place all spyro....




oh, and i got addicted to the spyro eternal night game. i was like playing it all night. i got everything in the game and beat it in a week and unlocked dark spyro.....hehehe..


but mostly i was addicted cuz this song drives you crazy but in a good/bad way with all the emotional scenes from the game.....i cant explain it, it just drives you nuts.....








im not sure what one that comes from, but i know ive heard it somewhere. it drives me nuts......

but if you havent played any of the two newer spyro games, you wont know that cynder is a black dragonness used by this old purple dragon named the dark master and the dark master captured cynder when she was an egg and taught her evil but spyro rescued her and now they work together in the newest one coming out this fall.....



*gasps after saying that all in one breath*

wow. i thought that more people would've played the newer ones.....i mean, yeah, the old ones were awesome, i loved them, but the newer ones are like rly rly AWESOME!!!! and they have good story lines too.....and downright creepy music.....ugh! like when you start a new game, the music like possesses you. its like this choir singing this minor melody.....aaaahhhhh!!!! so enchanting......

yeah, you can play PS1 games on PS2, cuz i do it all the time.....



and i hate Moneybags, hes a very greedy, overly fat, gem-hogging idiot......so glad they got rid of him in the newest ones......


oh, and Hunter might be in the newest one coming out this fall. not entirely sure.......you only like catch a glimpse of him standing there at the end of the credits......but it looks like him.....



@Avatar: yeah, dont get Eternal Night unless you get A New Beginning first, even though A New Beginning sucks, it still helps you get a grasp for the story.....and its kinda funny. but its basically like a movie where you control the fighting......

i know. A Hero's Tail was like the best old spyro game EVER!!!! i mean, its the first game where they introduced the new elements, and you could play as Blink and Hunter (even though that one Hunter level was kinda stupid....) but its the only spyro game i havent gotten 100% on.....but ive seen the video on youtube what happens if you get 100%.....its kinda funny......but hard to hear what they're saying.....

yeah, spyro still is awesome!!!! except for sparx......man, i so want to shoot that little dude in the head with his sarcastic......*rant goes on for 50 minutes*

yeah, they really shoulda made sparx different. and was it just me, or did his voice sound different in eternal night? anyway, as you can tell by my screenname, ILUVCYNDER!!!!! and seriously, i cant believe the third one is coming out soon (of course, it is the end to the triliogy which is sad)!!!!! ITS COMING OUT! ITS COMING OUT!!!! and o.m.g, that movie looks AWESOME!!!!!

Have any of you guys gotten the new Spyro game yet? (The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon). If you haven't, let me tell you that this is the most awesome dragon game of all time, and the second most awesome game of all time!!!!!!!!! (right behind Ecco the Dolphin: Defender of the Future, hee hee)

Flying anytime is SO AWESOME!!!!!! Playing as Cynder is SO AWESOME!!!!!!!! The storyline is SO AWESOME!!!! The graphics are SO AWESOME!!!!! The soundtrack is SO AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! AWESOME GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This game seriously does have a great soundtrack. My favorite soundtrack of any game.

I'm super far in it, too. I'm in the third to last level. It's the place with the lava and rocks. After this is the Floating Islands, and then I go to fight Malefor! (the Dark Master) Yay!!!

Anyway, as you can tell, I could go on about this game for hours. The first two were totally awesome too, but not half as awesome as this one.

Well I'm a sucker for almost any dragon game as well.....and I've seen the previews for Dawn of the Dragon and i've been waiting with anticipation....and hoping it wasn't as bad as A New Beginning. But it looked awesome with the flying and co-op. And you're review has made it seem even better....now i just got to go get it.

you're right, nothing beats the original, but the new ones are cool, too. i especially like the storyline of the newer ones.

have you played the new spyro games? because believe me, if they didn't have a storyline, they'd be as boring as hell.

but yeah, without the storyline on the newer ones, it'd just be fight fight fight fight.....and on A New Beginning, it would've gotten really boring...

lol, i beat it 4 days after i got it (well, i was also playing it straight through the night). but at least Eternal Night was better than A New Beginning in the fact that there wasn't quite as much repetitive fighting, the breaths were kinda cooler, it was harder, etc. lol. and also the breaths weren't too powerful. In A New Beggining, once you got the electricity breath, all you had to do for the ones that smashed you to a pulp was knock them over with it. Although in Eternal Night, I think the Dragon Time makes it too easy to fight....so it could use some improvement. I hope they made that improvement in Dawn of the Dragon.

i think the one i have is the first one coz he goes to this temple (i havent played it for a while so i dont remember what its called) and he gets his powers then fights cynder..dawn of the dragon looks good

don't worry, i'm easily impressed by any game (which is how I got started on Spyro in the first place. lol) but yeah, I haven't played them all either, but I really want to (not really all the side adventures they've created for the gameboy though)

yeah, I played Spyro Orange for the gameboy and it sucked...not like the PS/PS2 games.

I really want to, but I can't yet. I'm working on it.

I really liked that they brought Hunter back though.

yeah, he's changed a lot from the old spyro games though...well, i suppose everything's changed from the old spyro games. lol, but i never thought Hunter would show up in this until Spyro got that letter from Hunter when he was trapped on the ship in Eternal Night

the best thing to do with them is melee one of them to open the claws, then the other will attack you, so melee it to open the claws and work on it until the other attacks you, and keep going back and forth. Dragon Time also works great here, though i don't like using it much because it makes it easier.



also, i would like to state that i can post a walkthrough for Eternal Night for anyone who either wants to get through the game quicker or wants to be a perfectionist (like me) and get all the quills and fire and health masks. before i do it, i would just like to know that it would be needed by someone.

Oh Mah Gawd! I just got Spyro Dawn of the Dragon. It is the most epic game of the series (in my opinion). I'm currently in the Ruins of Warfang. Now i just need to get Eternal Night. But i love the game its amazing.

I really like the spyro GBA side scrollers. These were some of my favorite games.

I just beat it today. It is just full of epic epicness. lol did that make any sense? oh well. Oh and btw dont worry i had the game for about two months. You see i cant play vg's on the weekdays so thats why it took me two months to beat it cause i could only play on friday after school and then saturday and sunday. But overall the game is absolutely amazing. Excellent voice acting, great graphics, a steller soundtrack, and the assurance that a movie will be out this christmas. oh mah gawd!!

yeah, those were pretty cool. i love the song at the end credits of the eternal night. i put it on the first page, but it got taken off because of copyright credits. and it was a good video too.

i like the end song on Dawn of the Dragon during the credits. that one's good too.

my sister and i hve played these. we always have to return them before we finish though......

you should go out and buy them then. they're not too expensive...except the new one on xbox 360...which is why i haven't gotten it yet

Dawn of the Dragon on the 360? I got dawn of the dragon for the PS2 for $30. that wasnt too bad i suppose.

it's like 50-60 for xbox 360. so i'm waiting a bit

yeah, i didn't think they were that expensive. because i just sold my ps2 for an xbox 360 a couple of months before the game came out so now i have to pay more for it i guess

yeah, the songs are awesome. they add to the mood of the game (well at least the mood of the cutscenes. lol)

$44???! I got my copy for $20 brand new at the local Game Stop. lol. My favorite soundtracks still remain the way they were. The theme from the Floating Isles in DOTD along with The Dam theme. Those two play when youre not fighting.

My console was for PS2 and i got it awhile after it was released. Did you get it right after it came out or something?
