 If there were to be a remake, who would you want to be cast?Right, so it's been about six years since the atrocity came out and... well, I'd still kind of like to see The Inheritance Cycle put to the big screen. If they were to remake it and do it properly this time, who would you want to play who?

It would be nice for them to find people who aren't very well known or well known at all to play the characters (Who can actually act). If I had to pick though...
Tom Hiddleston- Galbatorix Riki Lindhome- Arya Michael Gambon- Brom (Even though he is already stereotyped) Garrett Hedlund- Murtagh (I was happy with him.. someone like him would be awesome) Elizabeth Banks- Angela Stanley Tucci- Garrow (Or anyone really.) I can't think of anyone else really though. The people I didn't put down: Roran Eragon Durza Ajihad Nasuada I would also like them to make a better effort with the vfx/ makeup/ costumes and things. Saphira wasn't how she was supposed to look at all. The Urgals I'm pretty sure looked like normal humans with some makeup which is just wrong. I thought the locations were good choices though.. Maybe Wesley Snipes for Ajihad, he definitely has the look if he could regal it up some, but I don't know if he has the scope for the character in him.
The rest I'm gonna say unknowns, since I can't think of anybody. Re: If there were to be a remake, who would you want to be c Tom Hiddleston might be a good Galbatorix. I kind of like John Malkovitch though.
Riki Lindhome might be good as Arya. I've heard suggestions of Kate Beckinsale and Jessice Lowndes too. Not sure Michael Gambon would be a good Brom. Again, I liked Jeremy Irons. I think Elizabeth Banks could make a good Angela. I liked Garrett Hedlund as Murtagh, they just needed to give him more of a role instead being like "well here's Murtagh". I also like Robert Carlyle (Durza), Christopher Egan (Roran), and Djimon Hounsou (Ajihad). I've heard other suggestions of Chris Hemsworth for Roran. What about The Twins? |

Re: If there were to be a remake, who would you want to be c I can't think of his name and I'm too lazy to look it up, but the queen's creepy brother from Snow White and the Huntsman would make a good actor to play the Twins. He's certainly freaky-looking enough for the part.

Re: If there were to be a remake, who would you want to be c I like Tom because I've seen his acting. I only saw John in Eragon and her appeared for like 5 seconds.
Out of all the people you picked Rose I like Riki best. She looks a little alien like in her IMDB photo and I think she would look great as Arya (Though I pictured Arya a little thinner in the face). I think that Jeremy Irons was good but that's not how Brom was described in the books at all. Michael fit the profile as far as looks goes and I like his acting. Durza was also fine but his wardrobe and makeup was a serious malfunction. It just looked awful. I don't remember Roran so much and he isn't my favorite so I wouldn't mind who was him. Not Chris Hemsworth though... Totally gorgeous but he's a bit too buff and a little too old to play a farm boy. Sam Spruell is the guy from Snow White. I do like some of the original people from the movie but that was years and years ago. Re: If there were to be a remake, who would you want to be c I could see Chris Hemsworth being maybe Albriech or Baldor. I mentioned him as Roran, also because the other day on his Twitter, CP mentioned that he thought Chris Hemsworth would be a great Roran...
I had to look Riki up to know who she was, but definitely after I saw her I thought if you just put a black wig on her or dye her hair, she be an almost perfect Arya. Kind of considered Jennifer Lawrence too, but I think she might be too round in the face... |

Re: If there were to be a remake, who would you want to be c She is a little two round in the face. The reason I liked Riki is because her eyes almost look slanted (From that one picture) and she just looked so different.

You have to live with the bronyness of the site now. They changed the smilies to them and until someone decides it's time for a change (Never) it will remain as bronies. I think he probably is too old to play Roran. and definitely too buff. Like I said, he'd be a better Albriech/Baldor or even Horst. |
