Kharsin
Name: - Kharsin (Car-sin) Longtooth
Age:- 40
Gender: - Male
Skills: Gliding - The wings on Kharsin's back allow him to glide through the air. While the wings he has cannot make him fly, if he finds enough of an updraft he can use that to make himself rise into the air. Venomous Bite - Due to his Ancestry, Kharsin has developed glands which provide a poison that is fatal to most creatures including humans and elves. The poison isn't fast working so whoever is bitten has time to push the poison out with magic, though finding the poison is difficult. Shadow Corruption - All followers of Shruiks have given themselves to the Shadow Realm, Kharsin is no different. He can use the magic of the Shadow Realm. Shadow Affinity - Kharsin is a follower of Shruiks which means he has worshiped the Shadows. This has given him an ability to sense Shadow Corruption within others, though he needs to be next to the person to be able to sense it. Faith - Kharsin's faith in the Religion of Shruiks has helped him maintain his sanity through the effects of Shadow Corruption. This means that while he does use Shadow Magic, he is not a slave to it. His intense faith has given him the will to hold his own mind.
Race: - Draconian
Scales: - Black
Eyes: - Orange
Home Village: - Harnaruk (A town in the land of Alalea.)
Parents: - Serath (Father), Naruuk (Mother). (Both presumed dead)

Character Personality: Kharsin is a devout follower of Shruiks, the name Keralin chose for himself when he merged with the Shadow Realm. Kharsin believes that Shruiks is the great destroyer and that is people don't worship and fear him that he will come again and destroy the world. This gives Kharsin a strange set of habits and rituals that he must complete every day and night. His kind is shunned everywhere he turns except for his own kind so he has grown bitter and very wary of everyone he meets. He has a dislike of humans and elves as every single one he has met has tried to kill him, yet that doesn't stop him from trying to preach the way of Shruiks. The way of Shruiks demands him to help the young to prosper and help those who need it. It also requires him to kill the sick and deformed as their bodies are no longer capable of helping the society. While Kharsin feels regret and remorse for those he has had to kill in demand of his faith, he doesn't hesitate in the execution. He feels that if one tenant of the Faith is to be held in his heart, all of them must. This has lead to Kharsin hesitating a few times in some decisions, as he looks for a way around it, but almost every time he has followed the tenants. Occasionally, when he hesitates, he can feel the press of the Shadow Realm's influence upon him which has made him make rash decisions which he later doubts.
Character History: Kharsin was born on the road, his mother laying him in the back of a wagon, as his parents were running from Shruiks. This is not the beginning of life for a Draconian though as, like dragons, they wait for the proper time to hatch. Kharsin's egg was named almost immediately and was carried around by his parents for several months before they finally came to the town of Harnaruk, where he hatched. His parents took this as a sign that Harnaruk would be their home and settled down. Kharsin grew up with the knowledge that Shruiks had destroyed their previous home and could be coming to destroy their own home at any time. So constantly he had to keep an eye on the horizon for the tell-tale sign of his coming, a coming darkness. When he was six, his family was graced with another sibling, a younger brother, who hatched immediately. Kharsin and his parents took this as another sign that Shruiks wouldn't be coming and began to truly settle, building a real home of stone and working for more than just survival. Kharsin spent most of his time with his new brother, enjoying having a new play-mate. Kharsin grew to the age of fifteen teaching his brother about the world and how to live in it when their house was graced with yet another child, yet instead of being born immediately like Kharsin's younger brother, this child stayed within it's egg. Kharsin knew this was a bad sign, yet his parents wouldn't hear anything of it, they just said that it wasn't the right time. The following week was stressful for Kharsin as he resumed watching the horizon for the signs that foretold Shruiks coming. On the ninth day, his fears were confirmed. On that ninth day, the sun didn't rise and Kharsin felt dread within his bones. He grabbed his younger brother and his sister's egg and what else they could carry as his parents were nowhere to be found that morning. Kharsin left the town and headed to the last stronghold that he knew of, the so-called birthplace of the Draconian race. As he traveled down the road, he looked back one last time to see his home town consumed in darkness. As he looked up he swore he could see a figure in the shadow, one looking down at the town. The figure sent terror through him. A month after leaving the town, Kharsin and his two siblings arrived at the city of Draconis. He had never been so glad to see another Draconian before, and he was happy when a couple from the temple of Shruiks took them in and gave them shelter. That was when his sister's egg finally hatched. Kharsin had never been so glad to see a baby Draconian. For the next ten years, Kharsin devoted himself to learning about the religion of Shruiks. As he learned about it, he found himself changing. He believed the faith, he knew the power of it, and he knew that he had to do something to make what was left of his family would survive. He joined the order and swore to uphold the entirety of the faith. Two years later, his faith was put to the test. The sign of death came, the sun began rising one day only to be snuffed out by shadow. Kharsin threw himself in front of the coming shadow, offering himself as a sacrifice for the safety of his family and for the rest of the Draconians. Shruiks stopped then, as he breached the walls and just as suddenly, the shadows melted away and what stood after was a man. An unassuming man with tears in his eyes. When the man ran, Kharsin knelt to the ground and knew that his faith had delivered him. He knew that his faith had saved his family and his city. The monks of the temple of Shruiks took Kharsin away for special training then, telling him the power of the Shadow Realm and how it would help appease Shruiks. Kharsin believed every word and followed every new Tenant that was given to him;
Never kill another Draconian Never speak a word against Shruiks Never harm a Child or one who hasn't fully grown Kill those who are unable to defend themselves Pray for Shruiks to keep away every night To do otherwise is to invoke Shruiks wrath
Kharsin learned and when he was ready, he spoke the words that would bind him to the Shadow Realm forever. If he failed the test, he would have been killed. Kharsin succeeded. He felt the Shadow Realm and his faith kept his sanity and control over it. It was only after that that Kharsin was allowed to leave the temple. Kharsin made it his personal mission then to find the man that had run when Shruiks had finally stopped. To this day he still searches, though he feels a disturbance within the Shadow Realm that comes closer each day. Kharsin eventually found his way to Alagaesia, where he knows his search it coming to an end.
Weapons: Kharsin holds no weapons but those of his own claws, his teeth and the staff he uses to travel.

Dislikes: - Anything that isn't a Draconian and those who seek to abuse the Shadow Realm's power.
Animal Companions: - None, he tried twice but ended up eating the animal both times.
Character's Physical Description: Kharsin has a black robe which he uses to hide his appearance. He folds his wings beside him to give him the look of a large human. He stands as tall as a Kull when standing at his full height, but he slouches so that he stands as tall as a human. He hides his hands with metal graves so that if anyone sees his claws he it is assumed they are part of his armament. His wingspan is average for a Draconian, being half again as long as his arms. He holds a medallion hanging from his neck with an inscription of a hand grasping nothing. It is the symbol of Shruiks hand holding the Shadow.
Dreams for the Future: - To see that Shruiks is appeased and doesn't come to destroy the world.
Reason for Dreams: - His Religion demands it of him.
Alignment/side: - That which will keep Shruiks from the world.
