I thought it was better, longer, more detailer, ect. Also, once I reread Eragon after Eldest, I was like "DO WHAT YOU JUST LEARNED . . . oh, wait, you learned that in Eldest, grr,"

Did anyone miss me? Sorry, I was on a couple-week hiatus. Computer crash. I had to go to the library just to do homework . . .

I see the books as a whole, (or at least once Book 3 is released it will really be whole) and one complements the other, but I could not chose one over the other. They serve different purposes and both are outstanding. So I cannot choose! :?

I would repectfully agree to disagree. In Eldest we see a lot of Eragon's human emotions.
We see how his infatuation towards Arya grows, evidencing his hormones going amok as a human teenager, (because he is only 16), the many times he gets frustrated over the exersises with Oromis, his confusion, anger and arrogance with Vanir the sparring elf, and so on. By the end of the book he has learned so much, yet he remains his true self.

But who has actually felt that way?
Call me naive...
but...
i just don't feel that way yet
I'm 13!!!
I haven't been infatuated of frustrated to that extent yet
I'm still trying to understand my inner self...
Thats my quest...

Oh, my dear! You have a rough path before you. As a mother of a 16 yr old teenager I can assure you that much.
I was just reading over the section in which Trianna tries to seduce Eragon and I couldn't help laughing. Even though he is not a child, he is not yet a man, at least looking at it in the view of modern society. According to the story plot, boys reach manhood at the age of 16, with a coming of age celebration and all. Eragon has no father figure with whom discuss his concerns, so he is a lost with what he is feeling.

In this book CP is so delicate and subtle as he reflects Eragon's intimate and confusing feelings, it's wonderous. Again, I could not choose one book over the other.

Yep, then in Eldest he begins to affirm his growth from the 1st book. He is learning to understand himself at a deeper level. He also learns what he cannot do. I love both books! :D

i like both books very much. and many of you (espescialy annie bee) has hit the highlights as to why they are so great :D . so i won't worry about explaining myself.
but eldest, was longer and bla bla, (VERY GOOD). a lot because it was cp's 2nd book. he got some experiance with eragon, and now with eldest. so if he started out so good, i'm sure he'll finish off great.

I remember when i was young in 1777. I remember being a powerless man that could not control my fate much less that of the people around me. I temember hearing the howls of the wolves and wishing i could run with them. And then came that faithful day when i was attacked by a lone wolf looking for food. It turns out what he called a curse was a blessing to me. I was finally able to run with the wolves not just in my imagination but in reality with four paws of my own. I was no longer a mere man or a victim of fate but a creature of the night, an immortal, A WereWolf.
