Yes he is according to CP. The cover of the 4th book will even be a green dragon because it will play a big part in the book. Not per say fighting but still involved in a lot of pages.

I think it will hatch, lol but after everything is over as a sign or rebirth, and then eragon will leave Alagesia forever.

if it hatches before galby is dead, it will be killed by murtagh or thorn almost instantly after birth.

It wont be able to defend itself, and it will be useless so it won't really have much of a role.

For the last time it will not hatch in the very end. CP has confirmed that the cover will be of the green dragon because it will have an important role. Not saying it's going to fight but it will be in a lot of pages doing something and interacting with the characters. I don't know why you are in such severe denial about this.

Yes, but that does not mean that the green egg will hatch, or even that there is a green egg! We can be 99% sure that somewhere in the book, there is a green dragon. I'm not saying that i don't think there is a green dragon, i'm just saying that until the book comes out, we can't be absolutely 100% sure about anything!!!!!!!!!!

yes. well the greenie will hatch in the Epiloge for Roran kid and eventualy he will mate with Saphira, then Eragon and Saphira will leave to go find more mates.

but if it hatches for roran's kid, they will ahve to wait 15 years before the dragon hatches cuz otherwise the kid'll be too young, and then if its fifteen years, eragon will probably be gone

why 15 years? the dragon could hatch the second the kid is born.

cuz the kid isn't old enough to ride...why would the dragon hatch if it has to wait so long to really be used?

well I didn't think it would hatch the second the kid is born but he could if he wanted to. the kid could ride when he is 10 or maybe even 9 if Eragon teaches him correctly!
