I don't think he'd turn on Eragon, besides his friend was Brom and he was trying to teach Eragon, so I think that kinda makes him feel like his uncle wouldn't it?

I don't think he'll turn sides he'd probably be killed even if he did Galbatorix wouldn't let him live after all that anyway so he's much safer staying with the varden

i agree he wouldn't risk his life if he was planning on switching sides and adding more of an advantage to Eragon it wouldn't be smart.

I don't Jeod is a traitior. He and Brom were like best friends so why would he betray Galby? He might even join in the cause.

Joed was also leaving for his wife because he thought it is what is best for her. So he would do things for his wife that he tought would be the best for her, but I don't think he would become a tratior. He knows what is at stake.

i dont joed could be a traitor beacuse he'd never betray eragon, even if he was tortured or something he still won't become a traitor, any way he's an honest guy.

He doesn't have to diliberatly betray them he could get captured and Galby could easly breek into his mind even if he has barriers.
