Re: The Giver had to read this for school, 2 years ago, and no, it wasn't too bad. it was a school book, which made it less appealing, especially cus it had other work attatched to it, but it wasn't bad at all

Re: The Giver I read The Giver for school. It was really good in my opinion. I tried to get my dad to read it. He's been reading it for about four months and is only about halfway through it. He's a slow reader.

Re: The Giver No offence you guys but that book was so wierd. I mean they kill people if your too old or if you break the rules 3 times. I had to read it for school but the book was so stupid. I hated it. If you guys liked it i mean no disrespect at all.

Re: The Giver I thought that the book was quite good. And it was written to bring about thoughts on a utopian society. That's the beauty of the story. Also, the ending was open for interpretation, I believe.
