I start on August 22nd. Not sure what time yet though, haven't been able to sign up yet since there aren't counselers there. I am signing up this week at the elementry across the street. (They don't have computers at the new school yet.

Hmmm...Sometime there is a class hour in morning (with class mistress) and it starts at 7:10... *YAWN* here goes my beutey sleep (jk).

LoL. My mom is having me take afternoon classes so I can get more sleep in the morning. (I have always loved beind able to sleep in during school)

I start August 14th as well but classes start at 9 for me. Kinda nice as I get to sleep in a bit.

I just started monday

The first day of school i had to write a report for homework and ever since then i've had like 4 tests/quizzes each day . . . . . . . . . High School can suck at times but other than that, its been good, lol

I love being homeschooled. *sighs happily*

I was homeschooled for 5 years . . . . . . . . i didn't have much of a social life . . . . lol but i liked it cuz i got to go to skool in my p'js!

Same here. No private, public or boarding school for me. I love it. But what drives me nuts is that almost every one I talk to about it either thinks I'm too smart or too dumb for school. That isnt it. Some people just find it works better for them. My family and I go to California almost every year and being homeschooled doesnt get in the way with that. My princaple (Dad) and my teacher (Mom) come along to so we dont have to skip out.

I wouldn't like to be home schooled- I like to see my friends every day at school. My school's pretty rough (but not for dumb people- I managed to get the highest level in all my exams, I'm in every top set and my ego has absaloutely inflated to the size of a house ), and that's kind of what I like about it- it's full of chavs, and that's the downside, but you also get to see a lot of fights, and injuries and stuff. Like the time some guy broke his leg in PE and they called an ambulance and it got stuck in the mud on the field poor guy, but still funny. And there was a fight between diddly year 8s the other day (year 8= grade 7) and that was hilarious. Also, one of my girl mates went round brushing all the guy's hair, and they looked like such idiots lol. School's ok now, cos I dropped all the lessons I hate

Stupid homework, I have to study for Science test, a French test, and complete a Enlgish writing story that isn't even creative writing. And I have to do it this weekend when I have four hockey games I have to work at.

Know what I REALLY HATE?
Is when you tell ppl ur homeschooled and they are like, "But what about socializam? That's soooooo important!". I HATE that!!!
And we homeschoolers aren't dumb!!! My bro went to COLLEGE when he was 14!!
We homeschoolers also have higher SAT scores than public schooled kids on average.

I and my friends don't like homeshcooling for two reason:
1) Some girl who bullied two other girls and then said she was being bullied, left and became home schooled. She was always coming back to our school and bragging she only had school for four hours on whatever she wanted.

2) Some kid who signed up of high school, came the first day, never came back. The first day was the best day!

So I understand your case, but where I'm from being homeschooled isn't a good thing.

2 very important words there. Because generalizations make me angry. Like saying girls do better than boys at school here- sure they do, on average which means squat.

Firetoungue- I'm NOT saying homeschoolers are smarter all the time, because we aren't. thats why I said on average.You can't understand if u haven't been one but as a homeschooler I have to defend us all the time.Adults always think we are stupid just cause we aren't in a school room for hours on end. It's really hard and if I come on a little defensive at times I'm sorry. I just feel the need to defend homeschoolers.

Dawn Warrior- I understand where you are coming from. I have met some really snobby and rude Hmsklers. We aren't all nice and we aren't all smart. but alot of ppl meet 1 rude or stupid hmskler and they think we are all like that. but we aren't.

Not at all. I sometimes get the same about public school, because I know people that think if you go to a school like mine, you must be stupid, or a chav. As you may have realized by now, my school doesn't have the best reputation in the world, although the GCSE scores were fantastic last year. I'm glad I still managed to do well in my tests though- it seems if you are thrown out of a posh school, you get put in my school.
