silver_dragon_goddess New Peasant Joined: November 30th, 2005, 9:37 pm Posts: 24	Saphira Saphira is a sapphire blue dragon from the Inheritance Trilogy. Her scales are the color of sapphires and glitter like them, and she has sapphire eyes. Her eyes see blues as more vibrant and exotic, while reds and greens are more blurred. Her claws, talons, and neck, back, and tail spikes are all bone white. She has two serrated teeth and normal teeth as well and a triangular head. Later in Inheritance, she gains the ability to breathe flame that is blue tinged with orange, but later is fully blue. Saphira is my favorite character in the book...it was because of her that i became so obsessed with dragons Saphira=

K New Peasant Joined: March 24th, 2006, 10:39 pm Posts: 1 Location: Oak Park, IL	Saphira My 8 year old daughter and I an fans of life of Saphira and the books for several reason, the books are great and we can't think of a better dragon heroine than Saphira. Also, my daughter's name just happens to be SAFIRA!!!! I don't know who yelled the loudest when that name appeared in the book, me or my daughter. It is an unusual name (in this county) and the last name I ever expected to see in a book (other than the bible -- different spelling). Safira is sn Arabic name-- it is the root of the Greek name Sophia--...it means "gift from heaven", "purity" and in Armenian "ambassador"....it aptly describes my daughter and the blue dragon! We can't wait to see the movie and read book three. My daughter wants her book autographed and I will do my darndest to see that it happens!
