Don't worry, I'm sure you'll find something to cheer me up. I've been listening to the most epic music ever made and I stayed up ALL NIGHT last night just because it is so awesome. I recommend you should listen to it. Especially something cheery, like this song.

Also yesterday I stayed up until 3:00 in the morning last night because I had an unusually long nap and then I started to listen to a song called Sonera nonstop for five hours straight. Yeah. . . Also I was watching a show called SOLITARE on hulu.

Interesting show. Imagine being confined in a 6x6 foot room with only food, water, and a lavatory, complete isolation from human life except companionship from an annoying, sadistic computer named VAL, and put under extreme torturous situations until your nerve breaks. I rather enjoy it. *makes evil laugh*

My school has been out, but I'm going back in mid-August.

I got to about page 30 before I got the urge and went to youtube to watch my own hilarious series. Team Four Star's Dragonball Z abridged. One of the most hilarious things I've seen ever.

Their take on Vageta is probably the best. His one liners and voice makes me roll on the floor. Richard kind of reminded me of him, except he's more friendly.

Well, this news is quite horrifying.

This is a pretty serious issue: A bill is trying to be passed that will many ANY advertisement, use, or display of copyrighted material on the internet ILLEGAL. With penalties ranging from fines of thousands of dollars, and jail time up to 5 years.

You know what this means, do you? Youtube, gone. Your favorite music, gone. Video game industries (And I mean ALL of them) gone. Along with much of these businesses, the entire internet, which consists of a lot of media, GONE. Yes, that's right. Imagine a world without the internet! (At least our modern world that is) Not even Saphira Forums, or Librarian's LFG comics will not be spared.

In other news, I'm watching the latest DBZ abridged episode while it lasts. Laughing up and savoring every single moment I have before the internet is destined to collapse forever.

If anything, they deserve the mass chaos that will ensue if their dictoral vision becomes a reality.

Yes, but you would have to think, if ALL advertising and display of copyright material is banned in America, they would have to devise some way to prevent this stuff from reaching our shores from other countries. Yet this is such an integrated part in the internet already, that nearly all the english speaking part of the web, and all US media web servers would have to be shut down forever for this law to remain effective.

So basically, you will loose a lot more than just americans on the internet, pretty much the web will be overrun by other language speaking nations, or just collapse on it's own in it's entirety.

And no E+A, there would not be protests. There will be CHAOS if ever this becomes law. (Imagine all web vlogers, video game geeks, movie critics, and forum members across the nation going berserk with guns and explosives CoD style. Or even worse, become web-deprived zombies that flood the capital. That would be an interesting sight to watch)

I don't see how they can target fanfiction, or else they might as well target forums in general. However, if this bill is indeed passed, then a bunch of businesses will inevitably be shut down. Machinima, E3, half of the videos on YouTube. It would be disastrous.

Back from two long weeks of preparations for a list of different things that i have just completed. The pool is now open and the new staff (3 out of 5) have now been trained and have completed a couple of days of lifeguarding and daily pool maintenance. We were lucky that this year we did not have a break in the system that would have caused us to open late. I do believe that one has happened, but it is not a critical system. It will just make our lives harder when we have to clean the pool. Just need to complete their emergency scenario training, but this is something tthat will be on going for everyone over the entire summer.

Lasr weekend the concordia university amateur radio club participated in it's first field day event since the club was resumed two summers ago. This event is a 24 hour emergency exercise where we used emergency power to attempt to communicate with the most stations across north america. Just look it up on wikipedia or search for it on google news there should still be quite of few articles about differenr stations and clubs that participated. In the end our club with the joint effort of two other accumulated more the 1100 contacts over that period. A lot of planning and setup went into making this possible.

As for me I participated in my first amateur radio contest on the 1st of July where i accumulated 40 contacts from 8 different provinces and territories. This was the canada day contest so the aim was to communicate with canadian stations, but i contacted quite a few american stations. I will send my logs and just maybe I might have the highest score for category and region that i was in. This gives me about 2350 points which is good for a first time.

Look foward to be back on the forum with the ongoing work over the next couple of months to work on the book release planning.

Argh! My severe allergy to cats is the bane of my existence!

There are about 5 or so cats roaming around the neighborhood, meaning a lot of risk already. And one of them, a black cat named Midnight, happens to be VERY affectionate towards me. She forces herself on me so that I have no other choice but to pet her until she's happy. Now, I'm covered in a rash wherever I touched her, and my eyes and throat are beginning to swell shut.

If someone invents a cure to cat allergies, I'll be first in line.

Since you cannot be renumerated for things that you do on ham radio there are no prizes. If i get the highest scores for the quebec region in the category i entered in i might get a certificate, but like you said it is mostly for bragging rights. Trying to be heard by a station when everyone else might be using more power then you is definetly challenging but fun. Their were a couple that i had to call out with "victor alpha two lima papa quebec" for a couple of minutes before they heard me from the crowd of other people that were all calling at the same time. A couple of times i tried to listn instead of transmitting and i could hear two dozen people or more calling at the same time. VA2LPQ is the callsign that i have been assigned for amateur radio communicarion which i most identify myself with for all these communications.

Yep, know what you mean. Just went to an overnighter camp out to save a spot for a parade, now after taking a nap to regain my strength, I'm going to my millionaire aunt's house to party with my cousins. (I have about 70+ cousins, and I'm friends with all of them.)

Anywho...... I's going to go and watch some fireworks tonight..... First time I've ever watched fireworks on the 4th of July!

Ah, back from a nice swim, and fireworks show. The cool thing is that now because of the wet weather, B-class fireworks (the ones that shoot up and explode that are normally marked as illegal) are now legal in this region. And because of that, EVERYONE has them and are lighting the skies with them.

So because of it, I was looking out from my aunt's mansion's balcony, overlooking the Salt Lake Valley, and we saw hundreds of fireworks being lit over the miles of flat and sparkling city, while at the same time, lighting flashed in the background from the passing thunderstorm, and ten different airplanes dotted the sky from landing and taking off in a nearby airport.

It was a sight like no other.

Also, I nearly got hit by a firework as well. One of my cousins lit a set of roman candles, and it tipped over near the end, firing a single explosive round at the crowd, and nearest to me. Luckily no one was injured.
