Archery- Raina is a very skilled archer as a bow and arrow were the first things her father taught her to use when she was younger, her aim is deadly as she can hit a target moving at high speeds from difficult positions with nothing but sheer skill and the wind on her side.

Magic- As an Elf Raina has been taught the ways of magic, she is a skilled magician among riders but among her own people her abilities are no greater than anyone else’s, she still needs to use words of the ancient language to help her create the desire effect.

Swordsmanship- A sword is not Raina’s preferred weapon nor is she a master of it but if need be in a battle she can defend herself sufficiently although if she is opposed by anyone with reasonable skill she would not prevail.

Self Defence- Raina can sufficiently ‘fight’ and use her fists and legs against her opponents, her delicate strength mixed with her gymnastic ability help her to wriggle out of any ‘fight’ like situations.

Race: - Elf

Hair: - As an Elf Raina decided to go against the traditional look and opt for long thick curly black hair that ends just at her lower back and at times can present it’s self to be completely unruly.

Eyes: - Raina has sharp almond shaped eyes that are a fiery green colour, they tend to change shade depending on her mood, the more sparkling they are the more strong her mood tends to be.

Character Personality:
Raina has a very fiery personality, unlike most Elves she does not stop to think of the consequences of her words, she will speak her mind in most situations unless it would harm her. Raina can be a very selfish creature and will most likely only help someone if there is something in it for herself. She is not cruel, and she would not hurt someone for the fun of it but, if manipulating and hurting someone will help her achieve what she wants then she will not hesitate to go ahead and do it. Raina can be ruthless and cunning but if you manage to stay in her company long enough you will probably understand why she has such a strong persona and why she acts the way she does. Raina is mysterious and likes to keep to herself, she would not feed the starving nor would she mock them, she would simply ignore them. The most crucial and essential piece of her personality is found in her intelligence, she uses it against people and she can out-wit most people,but she is not arragont nor does she brag but she is aware of her intelligence. Some deem her callous and rude others think she is wise and determined, each to there own when it comes to Raina.

Character History:
Raina was raised by her father Denethor and he never spoke of her mother, Raina hopes to believe that this is because it is too painful for him after she disappeared shortly after giving birth to Raina, but she doesn’t know, she does not even know her mothers name as her father refuses to speak of it.

Raina grew up in the heart of Ellesmera learning and growing, she never possessed any special skills in any of the hobbies she pursued, she could not sing to plants as good as other elves, nor be a great magician, she was ordinary and plain and she resented it.

As Raina became older she began to be content with her life and almost greatful she was not as special as the others, she watched the best and the most wise go into battle and die whilst mere ordinary elves managed to prevail, she saw her ‘lacking’ as a gift, a gift that would mean she would never have to fight, a gift that she believed meant she was in -charge of her own destiny.

Denethor taught her all he could when it came to Archery-her preferred weapon, and made sure she had enough knowledge in things like swordsmanship, magic and one on one combat she became able to defend herself from most attacks and for this she felt forever in debt to her father.

After many years Raina felt she had done all she could in the city and wondered through the forests alone, re-appearing if something particularly interesting happened, she loved to live among the tree’s as they could not judge or manipulate her, but after several years of doing this she found that her father had been killed by the empire. She left the forests and began her journey back to the city. Raina never felt like she ought to get revenge for her fathers death as she knew he in turn had taken many men’s lives. So she remained in the city of Ellesmera getting any work she could find and telling riddles to those who would hear them.




Weapons:
Her bow and arrow- The arrows have a complex spell put on them so that they may always find there targets and her bow is built from the wood of a tree that her father sang to for many years.

Her sword - Her sword is simply one of her fathers many swords, and she keeps it on her at all times to remind herself of his presence, it holds no magical qualities that she is currently aware of.

Determination, she likes to see it in other people but not in herself as she believes it would corrupt her.
Watching the war between the varden and the empire and knowing she isn’t part of the slaughter.

She despises most humans, but she will usually give them a chance
Her queen as she believes no one is fit to rule Ellesmera
The powerful as she thinks that they are fools to there own powers and that is often there downfall.

Animal Companions: -A hawk although she would only call him in times of great need.

Character's Physical Description:
Raina is of an average height for an elf, in humans eyes she is beautiful but in elven eyes she is merely average looking. She has long curly black hair, a small frame and there is something delicate about her. She has a pointy shrewd face-even for an elf and she has lips that are a little plumper than usual. Raina’s usual attire is a flowing green dress that is the most expensive thing she owns, it also compliments the colour of her eyes generously.

Dreams for the Future: - To bring Ellesmera to Anarchy and to stop the royal family from ruling over the elves.

Reason for Dreams: - Raina believes in everybody’s freedom, and she believes that to lead the elves and other races to freedom that they need to abolish rulers. Raina knows how far-fetched her dreams are but she cannot help dreaming them.

Alignment/side: - Raina is on no side as nobody is on her side.

I just thought I’d ask, I know I haven’t stated that she’s a rider but I would hope she becomes one through RP’ing, so if she does get a dragon can I just update this page?

If this character gets a dragon egg through the RPG, then you make a new application that shows the changes she has gone through. Either that, or one of us reopen the topic in Accepted so you can make the neccessary changes to this one.
