Well..... they are going to be having a movie. It's supposed to come out in 2012. They cast Clary as Lily Collins several weeks (months maybe?) ago, and now have gotten around to casting Jace as Jamie Campbell Bower.

So's! What's be the rest of you thinking about this movie?

Hmm...I'd like to see it, but I can't read the books XP It all depends on how it checks out on Common Sense...but I've heard of the series and I think it would make for a good film ^;^

Er.... *runs off to commonsense* Okays! For book 1! Nothing you haven't seen before as far as violence goes..... The language is about the same as what is used in Supernatural except that it's used a LOT less than how much Deano uses it. Kissing...... there's one gay couple, but that doesn't really matter at all.....

Cans you read it? *bounces*

Hmmm...how slashy is the slash? Like, is it a main character or a passing mention, or...?

Pft, violence is never an issue in books XD The language, might wince a bit but oh well....as long as it's not the particularly foul words it should be fine (Although some of the language in Supernatural does provoke a wince) and if it's not used very much it ought to be go. Mostly just depends on the slashiness of it.

Wells...... it's Jace's adopted brother Alec..... he's a supporting character...... the other guy is magician that helps them out..... but it's really an important thing, I suppose. I mean, once the relationship between Alec and Magnus was used so that Magnus would help them defeat Valentine, but it's not like it's a focal point at all. You forget about it most times.

Glad we can entertain you *Bows with a flourish* :D

It should be alright, as long as I can smuggle them into the house without my brother noticing; he'd freak the second he saw the front cover

I'm actually hoping for a three-dimensional version of the film. It seems like it would be particularly edge-of-your-seat in that format ^;^

Post Re: The Mortal Instruments (film)
Okay, so now I've read the books. And absolutely loved them, so much so that they're some of my favourites that I've ever read ^_^

Basically, completely looking forward to the film now! And it's even got Jamie Campbell Bower in it!

GA, ah, my brother's a little weird sometimes, that's all. He sort of skimmed the pages, came in at some strange parts of the book, and assumed that the whole thing was an awful lot of snogging and that I'd hate it. And, while I admittedly did skip the snogging bits, it's more of a book that he wouldn't like.

Alec is my ultimate favourite character, for whatever reason. Don't even know what word describes him best, but he's just...wow. Wish Cassandra would write more about him.

Very curious about who's going to play him in the film. I'm just really hoping they're accurate in the portrayal; there's a lot they could get very wrong, as the books are relatively large.

*By the way, thanks E&A and GA for getting me into this series.*
