I took lessons for 2 years, then stopped cuz i hated it. (Mom and dad forced me to do it inthe first place). I can still play Yankee Doodle and Amazing Grace though

i know what that feels like. creepy teacher. ugh. my first one was like that, but I pushed on, very rewarding.

i tried to play the keyboard for a while like when i was hmm 14 or so? but i wasnt good enough i stuck with the clarinet that was good enough for me but now i play nothing with my arthritis my hands arent good enough to move along the keys!!!

I play, I have an awesome teacher, and I'm luving it!! I've been playing for about two years now, it doesn't sound like much, but it's sure taken me a long way.

anyway, that's cool. i've been playing for about 8 years now....but yeah, the first couple of years is awesome. if you like it those first two years, and do good at it, it's gonna be with you for life.

i play whatever i can get my hands on......that wide variety helps me grasp every concept of the instrument and get better at it......musical discrimination holds you back....

i like jazz, too.....but like i said, i like all music, so.....

I have a thing for jazz as well, but anything that I like the sound of will do, and there's not much I don't like the sound of

no, i don't......they're kinda extraneous for anybody.

yeah.....i write a lot of my own songs.....you should consider taking composition classes if it's something you really want to do.

Sorry to break up the conversation, but I started playing the piano over the summer. I only had two lessons but I learned how play a couple of songs. I'm still looking for a teacher, but I think i've found one!

I have a full electric piano. I wish I had a grand piano, but it doesn't fit in the living room. lol

hehe, I think we all want a grand piano. I've just got a plain upright one, but its better than some others I've played for sure.

yeah. well, at least with electric it stays in tune all the time.....
