 Re: RPGC- From within the belly of a beastSolarae returned to consciousness, her mind dazed. She had thought she heard a scream. She rose her head, wincing at the pain. She was surrounded on all sides by rocks, and covered in small ones. She heard movement, and the rumbling noises of someone digging. She began to remember what had happened, and realized that her friends must be here. But who screamed?
As Solarae tentatively extended her mind, she realized that she could feel Gus and Sera's frantically searching presences, but not Paconio's. Paconio! Solarae cried. She began struggling and twisting to get herself free, but realized she was pinned. She growled ferociously and her scales were ignited. She felt the rocks on her melting, and the molten lava dripping off. Don't worry! I'm coming! she cried, clawing and scratching fiercely to get through the rocks. Tons of stone were pressing down on all sides, but she could scent the elf. He wasn't far. Solarae dragged herself forward, melting her way through, until her energy ran out and she was forced to dig. She growled again and shifted aside a huge boulder that was blocking her from Paconio. She opened up a small hole and saw one of his arms poking through a gap in the stone. I'm coming! she cried again, dragging herself forward and digging through the rocks, ignoring the shrieking pain in her limbs. Finally, she had exposed the elf. Outside, she could hear her friends digging their way closer. Paconio! Are you alright? Re: RPGC- From within the belly of a beast Augustus did just as Sera said, clawing out rock after rock as Sera's water loosened them. After several boulders were thrown out, there was room enough for a small dragon to get through. Still, he pressed on, making the hole larger by the minute. Eventually, a hole was large enough for Gus to narrowly slip through. He did exactly that, and dug his way through the rocks to find his rider. It wasn't very long until he found his rider, along with Solarae, but by the time he got there, he was exhausted.
Before even saying a word, Gus flipped Paconio up onto his neck, to carry him. For some reason, though, the elf's leg seemed to be pointing at a strange angle. Paconio... Wake up, please... Don't you dare put me through this again. I've seen you almost die too many times... Gus said, attempting to hold back his sobs. It was too much for him, though. He got a huge lump in his throat, and a giant pit opened up inside of him. Paconio stirred in his light sleep. Re: RPGC- From within the belly of a beast Sera continued to dig with her water, when Gus drug Paconio out, she grabbed at Solarae, yelling, We have to get otu of here, the celing is coming down! roared the dragoness as she created a small pillar of ice to hold the celing up for a small time. She began to drag the orange dragoness out by her tail, screaming the entire time.

Re: RPGC- From within the belly of a beast Solarae's eyes widened anxiously as Paconio was carried away by Gus. She squawked in surprise as she was dragged away by Sera. Ow ow ow! I was just almost crushed by rocks, you know! she screeched, heating up her tail to make the dragoness let go and jumping away. I'll walk myself, she said. She followed along behind Sera and Gus, limping heavily.
Hearing a noise, Solarae looked over her shoulder, eyes narrowed, and saw the rockpile shift. Oh no... she muttered as a few of the rocks began moving apart. Hold on, guys. Re: RPGC- From within the belly of a beast Gus whipped around, spitting both fire and curses at the moving rocks. He knew that he was the only one in any condition to fight, but even at that, he doubted he would win. The rocks were in fact a strange creature. Gus set Paconio on the ground, saying to the others, Go on without me, I can find my way back with your minds. Trust me when I say neither of you are in any condition to be fighting. He turned his back to them, though he pushed Paconio's possibly dead body towards them with his tail.
Some fuzzy memories that were not his came to his mind. They were memories of green dragons suddenly turning red and moving rocks without even touching them. Little did he know a glowing symbol appeared on his forehead. It was a red dragon with a rock in front of it. Re: RPGC- From within the belly of a beast Sera looked at Gus, the look in her eyes told he rnot to argue, so she lifted the elf onto her back and began to walk down the tunnel. She had to get Paconio to safety, no matter the cost, for he had saved her.
Some thirty minutes later, the tired blue dragoness leaned up against the wall. She was exhausted. The look in his eyes would normally not perturb her, but something seemed different about him. He seemed capable of defeating the now-weakened creature. Be careful, Gus. I'll come back as fast as I can if I think you need help, she said, and then grinned, You don't want to make me run while I'm hurt, do you? So take care of this guy.
She reluctantly turned and headed after Sera, limping heavily. She didn't know what exactly she had done to herself, but her whole body was aching, and she couldn't walk on her left foreleg. Solarae stopped with Sera. Gus still seemed okay; she could still feel him with her mind. Re: RPGC- From within the belly of a beast Gus simply nodded as they walked off. Eventually, voices joined the memories. The dragon was starting to think he was going completely and utterly insane. He pushed the topic to the side, though, figuring that it could be dealt with at some other time. The creature, noticing that Gus was distracted, ran at him. Gus, knowing there was no way to avoid the creature, braced himself for impact. As the beast collided with Gus, the green dragon wrapped his tail around the creature's arm.
Then, as the beast was about to smash Gus into the wall, the dragon whipped the beast around with his tail. The end result of that was that the rock-thing was slammed into the wall. I feel as if I should go back to help him, even injured, from what I saw that monster is too much for a normal Gus, or so I thought. said the blue dragoness as she slumped down next to the still unconscious Paconio. She nodged him slightly and said, You think that Paconio will be ok, I mean unless we have a lucky burst o fmagic, we can't heal him...

Re: RPGC- From within the belly of a beast Solarae was not worried about Gus. For some reason, she felt as though he could defend himself against the monster. And if he needed help, she'd feel it and be there in a few minutes, injured or not. She glanced at Sera when the blue asked about Paconio. He's hurt, but not too badly. Don't forget; we're in Du Weldenvarden. Once we get out of this mountain, we can take him to some other elves. Then he'll be fine, she said reassuringly. She hoped they would find out what they came for quickly and get out soon. Her body still ached, and she was beginning to wonder if she had broken her leg.

Re: RPGC- From within the belly of a beast Augustus threw himself at the beast, letting out a roar as he smacked the creature in the face with his tail. Before he could do anything else, though, the creature grabbed his tail and threw him back against the wall. The rock shattered upon impact with the dragon's back spikes, and his impact was pretty cushioned, but that did not stop from infuriating him. He roared, and spit fire at the rock monster. It landed on the monster, but did nothing more than darkening the stone a little bit.
The beast grabbed Gus by the throat, throwing him against the wall. Gus did not attempt to struggle, for he knew that whatever was going to happen to him was going to happen right then. As if that thought were some kind of key, Gus's scales turned a bright red. You're not going to hurt me anymore! He shouted into the face of the beast. He had no idea how to control whatever was going on with him, but he figured that he would figure it out before the beast knew what was going on... _________________ The sacrifice is never knowing Why I never walked away, Why I played myself this way, Now I see your testing me pushes me away. Even if he could handle it on his own, she still didn't like leaving him. She growled in frustration. Gah! Why won't he kill that creature and get here already?! Does he know how much he's making me worry? I don't like worrying! she muttered to herself.

Re: RPGC- From within the belly of a beast I came here for a reason. A pile of rubble like you is not going to stop me! Augustus shouted. His temper was abnormally flaring, and his scales seemed to get even brighter as he grew more angry. The rock-thing had not relinquished his grip on Gus, but he seemed very scared. After a few minutes of just standing there and scaring the beast, Gus's emotions began to cool down, but his scales still remained the bright red.
After a few moments, the dragon began to notice the pebbles floating around him. He thought about moving them into the face of the monster. He then remembered when he was escaping from a prison with a friend. He remembered the he flung all of those guards with a flick of his mind. He tried it with one of the small pebbles. It did as he wished, and went and hit the monster in the face. The monster instinctively let go of Gus and scratched it's face. Gus sprang into action just then, finding a rock about the size of a watermelon and flinging it at the beast's head. Gus was shocked to see that it's head flew off of it's shoulders, and that it was still alive. He quickly buried the head in stones, so the beast couldn't find it. Then, as a final blow, Gus hurled a giant boulder at it's chest. The beast fell to the ground. Gus then buried the body of the beast with gigantic boulders, so it couldn't get out. By the end of the brawl, Gus was very exhausted. Don't worry guys, I'm coming!! He shouted to Solarae, Sera, and Paconio as his blasted his way through a wall and began walking as fast as his low energy would permit. _________________ The sacrifice is never knowing Why I never walked away, Why I played myself this way, Now I see your testing me pushes me away. I still don't know why you like that place, but I guess home does sound nice. Oh man, I just realized I have like two homes now, she began, and then realized with a shake of her head. How was she to choose where to go when she wanted some relaxation?
In a short time, the green dragon's scent drifted over Solarae's nose, and she grinned happily. Gus himself quickly came into view down the tunnel. Good. Now tell us how you killed the rock monster. Re: RPGC- From within the belly of a beast Watch this, guys! Gus said as he made his scales turn red again. He made some small pebbles float, pretending he didn't have as much power as he really did. He made the rocks spin around his head before examining Paconio. He went into his mind for further examination. From there, Gus slightly urged him to awake. A moment after this, a single groan escaped Paconio's mouth. Well, at least we know he's alive, Gus said. The way his leg is pointing, I have to guess that it's broken, He added as he began his examination. Other than a broken leg, the rest was just flesh wounds.
Well, he can't heal himself unless someone wakes him up, but if we leave... will I ever find what I came here for? Gus asked to the other two dragons. What was he going to do? Leave the cave and possibly the only chance of finding out who his parents were, or was he going to get his rider healed up and then forget about it? _________________ The sacrifice is never knowing Why I never walked away, Why I played myself this way, Now I see your testing me pushes me away. I'd take him, but, well, I'm not exactly of carrying size, she said, laughing. Her own leg would need healing, but she could take care of that later. Right now, there were more important things to do.

Re: RPGC- From within the belly of a beast Alright then, we should be back soon, until then, be safe, I would hat eto bring Paconio back here and find one of you dead or something like that. said Sera as she used her power over the water and ice to begin to create a hole in the wall. Not long afterward, she was through. She was not overly suprised to see the wall close in behind them, mainly because the whole thing was permeated with magic. She simply sighed and went on. When she got out, she began to painfully fly. She extended her mind toward the forest and soon found a small group of elves. She roared loudly and said, Come here and heal Paconio, he is in dire need of it, do not worry about me for now, help him first!

Might get more dangerous, she said, her eyes sparkling.

Re: RPGC- From within the belly of a beast Gus gently let the rocks down with his power, feeling the toll of energy. If anything, when Paconio and Sera got back, he would need some energy. So, shall we just walk this maze, or shall I blast our way through this wall? Gus asked Solarae as he lifted a rock and made his scales turn a bright red once again. For some reason, his personality seemed altered in the state, as if he were more courageous and able to do anything, but he still looked to Solarae for her answer.

Re: RPGC- From within the belly of a beast After they had healed Paconio, the elf was sleeping soundly. The elves started to work on Sera's leg. The healing itched horribly, but she held still through it all. He did this several times, becoming more confident with each throw. Faster than either of them could do by themselves, the stone wall had a gaping hole in it. He smiled at Solarae and then jumped through the hole. Again, was just about the same scenery. He was beginning to wonder if they were trapped in some kind of illusion the shade made...

The orange was silently thinking about what her friend had said, wondering if this could indeed be an illusion. Well, if we keep going in a straight line, we'll have to come somewhere. Whether it's the heart of the cave or the end, I don't know. But we'll get somewhere, she said as she melted another hole. After breaking through a couple more walls, she caught a pair of familiar scents and smiled. I guess Paconio and Sera are catching up with us. Re: RPGC- From within the belly of a beast Paconio slightly stirred in his dreamless slumber. He then realized he was safe and healed up, so he urged himself to get up. He found himself on the back of a blue dragon, Gus no where in sight. It was probably the farthest away they had been for a few months! "Woa... Where am I...?" Asked the elf drowsily. He had some fuzzy memories of walking this cave with Augustus and two other dragon that he couldn't identify. He figured that after he figured out what was going on, he would know who they were.
Gus nodded at Solarae's suggestion. They would have to get somewhere in the place, even if it was an illusion. No need to worry about me! I'm just sleepy is all He called back. A broad smile etched it's self on the elf's face, as he was usually seen. He couldn't wait to get back to his adventure and see how Gus fared while he was out. As if on some cue, Paconio already began missing his big green buddy, even though that was just where he was going.
Augustus began to grow excited as Sera's and Paconio's presence began to appear to him. He began to walk closer to the hole they had made. He prepared himself to jump out and hug his little elf friend... Paconio in turn laughed very loudly and then said "I missed you too, you big green lump." When Gus got off of him, Paconio accepted Solarae's hug as well, and said, "Well I know I am! Why else would I have come all this way?!"
As Gus lifted yet another boulder and made his scales turn bright red, Paconio's jaw seemed to drop to the floor. "How did you...? How did he...? WHERE HAVE I BEEN?!" He raised his palms over her leg, whispered a few inaudible words in the ancient language, and watched the sparks pour out of his arms and into the dragoness's leg. It never ceased to fascinate him how the sparks homed in on the injury and poured into it, while the last few sew the wound up. It brought him even more strange admiration when some sparks simply sink through the skin and release energy. After a few minutes, the leg was completely healed, though, like all of his healing patients, Solarae steamed for a moment or two.
"Anyway..." Paconio said, turning to his dragon. She was amazed at the odd beauty and threatening appearance of the maze. It was somethign like a bitter sweet thing when she started to think about her victory over the minotaur. She began to wonder what other monsters could be dwelling within the ancient labyrinth.

Hey, Sera, wait for us! she cried, trotting after the blue dragoness. The tunnels stretched forward, and she was itching to explore them and find out more about Gus, hopefully. Maybe there would be an explanation to his powers. Suddenly, she remembered the painting he had claimed to see. Hey, Gus, remember when you were telling me about that invisible painting thing? What was in it? she asked.

He thought about it for a moment, wondering where and when dragons could have developed such an... unusual power. The small picture of a half red, half green dragon etched itself on his forehead. He didn't see it, though he felt strangely... strange.
Paconio did not see the sign on his forehead as well, as he was riding on hid back. Old enough to have been built by his ancestors further back than his parents. Though they were probably here. Hopefully we can still find out who they were and why Gus has this rock-moving ability, she said thoughtfully. She continued to walk down the tunnel. This was horrendous, and painful to watch. She looked up at Gus when he finished the scenes. If they died like that, then they died nobly, like warriors. That's how I'd like to go. But there's still a chance that they didn't perish. There at least have to be more clues, she said with a small, encouraging smile.

No. I have not come all this way to find out they are dead! I will find them, even if I have to fight tooth and nail through every single monster in this place! Even that elf we saw before we even came into the cave... He quieted down, realizing what he just said. There was an elf here... so that meant... I think my parent's are alive, but are about to be killed by the elf we saw!! Augustus yelled, blasting through walls in every direction. He had best get to his parents (if they were even alive) before that monster stole his only chance of seeing them except for his fuzzy memories.
"Gus, let's stop and think for a moment. Blasting randomly is not going to get us anywhere. We need to be organized. We need to be fast. Most importantly, we need you to work on this rock skill-thing. It could have been used by your family as a key to getting out of here," Paconio said. Like Paconio had said, they did need all of those things, especially the last one. Hey, I know what'll make this more easy. I can melt a hole through each wall, Sera can put water in the cracks from that hole and freeze it to make it crack more, and Gus can make all those breaking rocks fall. She did her part again, and once the wall broke, she walked through. She waited for Solarae to create a small crack again, so she could use her water and ice powers to enlargenthe cracks, to allow Gus to break though with his ability to thrown the boulders, which he was becoming very good with.

Re: RPGC- From within the belly of a beast Solarae grinned. After the first couple holes, they were getting more and more efficient at the process. Things were going much more smoothly. I think we're gettin' the hang of this, guys. We've gotta come across something soon, she said happily. She melted yet another hole and waited for the others to do their part. In no time, there was a chunk of wall missing, quite large enough for Gus and Sera.
When they had gotten several holes further down, Solarae began to smell something different. Something smells new, guys. Something alive has been this way, but not evil I think. But the scent's so old, I can't tell what it was, she relayed, bending to sniff the ground. She had a very powerful sense of smell, so she doubted her friends could smell anything of what she was. Re: RPGC- From within the belly of a beast Augustus's spirits lifted as Solarae called out about the old-smelling smell. He too, could smell it, but only a small trace here and there. He began to follow the smell where he could. He ran down towards where it was. It was beginning to grow stronger. He turned left, following the now stronger growing scent. Of course, he didn't expect to find his parents just by following that trail. Who knew how old it could be? But still, the green dragon knew that it was better than nothing.
After a long time of running, the scent stopped at a stone wall. Strangely enough, the wall was completely intact. Augustus turned around to Solarae, to see if she could smell it going anywhere else. Re: RPGC- From within the belly of a beast I'll have to try, I suppose, Said Gus. He stood back from the wall. With his powers, he attempted lifting the wall. Surprisingly, it actually worked for him, but just barely. It lifted about an inch off of the ground. Gus, surprised and proud of himself, dropped it. He turned around and grinned at the other three, acting as if he had done a lot more than he actually had.
Now that Gus knew what he was doing, he lifted it with far more will than he had before. That was the whole thing with his powers, it depended on his will power. The wall lifted far enough for everyone to get through. She quickly drew back to the edgs of the adjacent wall as two large green jaws snapped close to her face. She growled back, but this growl was one of suprise. She said, Back off, I am not here to fight you, as long as you do not attack me. said the blue dragoness as she bore her teeth to the pair of teeth.

She darted under the wall when it was still low and made room for the others to get through. The sharp scent of dragons filled her nostrils, and she barely had time to move before a large claw clamped down at her. She rolled to the side, and glanced up, seeing a blur of green scales and another dragon snap at Sera. Woah, woah, woah! Hold it guys! I think you may wanna see the next dragon to come through before you attack us! she cried, stepping back towards the wall.

He ran inside as quickly as he could, and ended his wall lifting so his scales would be green again. A tail swung at his face, but abruptly stopped inches from his face. It... It can not be! the larger of the two dragons shouted looking wide eyed at the symbol on Gus's forehead, We thought we had lost you forever!
The smaller of the two (though not much smaller) ran up to Gus, and said Now Augustus-- How do you know my name? Augustus cut off the female. He knew who these people were, but he was getting a little 'creeped-out' about them knowing his name before anyone even told them. We're your parents silly! The male dragon said, embracing him in a hug. Can't you remember us naming you in your memories? We left you many memories, actually, like ones that will help you with your ability. Tears streamed down Gus's face. He never thought he would ever find them, and now that he did, he felt overjoyed. As he did search his memories, he did notice that he did remember all of these things, no matter how fuzzy the memories were. Mom, Dad, these are my friends, Solarae and Sera. And this little elf right her is my rider, Paconio He said, gesturing to each one of thing with his wing. It's a pleasure to meet you all, his Mom and Dad said at the same time, smiling. But... She bowed her head and stretched her wings in an old, elegant bow that the dragons had been using when she was very young. And I am Solarae, dragon of fire. I was there when your son hatched, and I'd like to say that I taught him a thing or two. Anyway, a rider is a human or elf that has a special bond to a certain dragon. A spell is said over that dragon's egg so that it will hatch for a rider, and when the dragon senses its future rider, it hatches and they become bonded for life. And I know for a fact that Paconio is an awesome rider, the oragne explained, her blue eyes sparkling as she came to stand beside Gus. But now for our questions. I'm sure all of us want to know why you've been in here, and what you've been doing, and how you got separated from Gus, Solarae said, tilting her head inquisitively.

Re: RPGC- From within the belly of a beast The grins of finding their lost son left the faces of Gus's parents. It all started this one summer day... The mother started, Your father and I were out hunting, and me, being such a fuddy-duddy about leaving my one egg alone, took you with us.
That was when something really strange happened. Out of nowhere, these giant blasts of magic began hitting us. We rounded up all of the other green dragons around and came into this cave. We constructed this giant labyrinth so what ever was attacking us would have little chance of finding us. The thing was, they found us. Too quickly, actually. Turned out that they were evil elves. We laughed and started to attack them. I think that was the worst possible move we made. They slaughtered everyone else, and then pin-pointed us out as leaders. They tried to take us away, but we didn't allow it to happen. With a powerful blast of magic, your father sent all of the elves out of the mountain. We then made this little section for us to hide. The only thing we've had to eat in ages are the beasts of this mountain. There are many more than you think, actually. The first day we were in the cave, I realized I had dropped Gus outside of the cave, though luckily in some bushes. I fretted about him every day. Then aren't we all glad that some good-hearted elves found Gus's egg, and now he's safe. Also, you can come out of this cave now. We opened it up pretty good I think. Now you can spend time with your son and you guys can get to know each other. But right now we'd better prepare ourselves. 'Cause I think Sera's right. That elf must have been one of the evil elves. There are probably more of 'em out there, waiting for you, she said, her tone turning from happy to serious as she spoke of the threat that hung over their heads.

Re: RPGC- From within the belly of a beast This happened hundreds of years ago, Gus's dad said. At the mention of leaving the cave, Gus's mother's eyes lit up. Did you hear that William, we can finally leave this wretched place! She yelled to her mate. She seemed very excited. Apparently being trapped in a cave for hundreds of years on end did that to a dragon. She didn't seem to hear the part about the evil elf.
Now now Emma, let's not get too excited, Gus's dad said, Didn't you hear about that elf this young dragoness just got done talking about? As if William talking was some kind of cue, the rock door burst into millions of pieces. Where it used to be stood the elf they had seen at the very beginning of the mountain, an evil grin plastered to his face. "I knew you would lead me to them. I knew it, but now it's time for you to die!" She was about to correct him with her actual age (which was over half a millinia, for goodness' sake!) but a loud crash made her duck away. When she rose her head, she began to growl angrily. The elf from before stood in front of them, ready to attack.
Solarae darted in front of her friends, roaring with a voice that was surprisingly unfitting to her small body. Go ahead and try! she screeched, her body bursting into flames starting in the center and then erupting off her wings and tail last. She lashed her tail furiously, her tailblade whisking fire through the air. The entire gang looked like a strangely mixed army. A grin spread across Paconio's face. The thought of a good battle did that to him.
"Oh I know that I can't kill you all by myself, but maybe we can," the evil elf said, snapping his fingers. On that cue, hundreds of evil elves uncloaked themselves. They all had the same demented smile, and each of them had swords drawn. A look of shock went from William, to Gus, to Emma, and finally to Paconio. Still, none of them were willing to give up. Solarae and she were almost complete opposites, making them almost the perfect team. She growled angrily and allowed her powers to call up some water. She called more and more out of the stones, until she had a large wall of it in front of her head. She smiled mischeviously and sent it at the elves.

A massive burst of fire poured from her jaws, filling the other end of the cavern in flames. Most of the elves escaped injury, but she grinned as a few cried out, caught off-guard. Her tail lashing again, Solarae ran straight ahead, putting herself further in front of her friends. She stood her ground and breathed more jets of powerful flame, making herself the first line of defense. She would protect her friends, old and new, at all costs.

Re: RPGC- From within the belly of a beast Paconio, eager to get a part of the action, began to run for the door. He cast a few wards around himself as he left the area, particularly some against fire. He then ran out, already slashing. The evil elves responded in a similar way, ganging up on Paconio two at a time. They were outmatched even at that rate. Paconio had trained all of his life for a day like that, while they probably trained in a week. It didn't seem ironic in the least to Paconio that sheer number was no match for experience.
Paconio kicked another elf in the chest, sending him flying back and colliding with another one of them. More and more came, and Paconio's stances and moves never faltered. This was going to be a very, very long battle. Gus and his parents nodded to Sera, agreeing with her plan. A stray elf managed to sneak into the room. Emma hit the elf in the chest with a rock so hard that he flew right back out and put a hole in the next wall! Re: RPGC- From within the belly of a beast Sera angrily attacked. She blew her ice breath over the floor, causing it to become very slippery. She drew some water from the surrounding rocks and compressed it until it was as hard as stone and hurled it, it acted much in the same way as a grenade would. It burst in the midst of the elves, but it dod not kill any, it only blasted them apart and hurt some of them. Sera growled angrily when her attack failed and ripped an elf apart with her claws.

However, every time she worked her way once past, the front line became composed of entirely different elves; and for good reason. She dodged magic and wove through their ranks, systematically killing each enemy she encountered and working her way back and forth. Her fire seared, her claws slashed, her teeth ripped, and her tailblade stabbed; all controlled by one swift and skilled dragon. There were many elves, but she was confident that her fighting prowess and the fact that their were many others with some fighting skills with her would win the battle, even if it might take a while.

Re: RPGC- From within the belly of a beast Augustus hurled a rock out into the crowd of elves. It landed into the center of the group, and a few screams pierced the room. Gus smiled. He didn't think it would even have that much of an effect. Emma and William did the same, with not as satisfactory results. All three continued to do it, though. They seemed very organized, as if they had done it hundreds of times together.
Paconio pushed another elf away from him, and shoved his sword into the belly of another. Re: RPGC- From within the belly of a beast Sera sent another blast of water at the elves, but this time followed it up with her ice breath, effectively taking the unlucky elves out of the battle. She roared her battlecry and leapt back into the fray, ripping, tearing, biting, freezing, everything behind her had an odd frost on it, then something hit her. It was a sharp dagger-like object, and it hit her hard. It his her right in the leg and immediately her right hind-leg went out.

Re: RPGC- From within the belly of a beast Solarae saw Sera stumble as a dagger pierced the blue's leg. She jumped forward and into the air, grabbing out the blade and jerking it out as she leaped. You gonna be okay? she called anxiously. Her blue eyes narrowed and darted to the side, where more evil elves were approaching. She growled and advanced menacingly. Flames shot out of her mouth, and she leaped through them, tackling the group of elves to the ground. Blood spattered everything nearby as she began to kill elves ferociously. It dripped off her tailblade, and she whipped it around to slice open the throat of another elf.

Re: RPGC- From within the belly of a beast Gus growled in anger as Sera was stabbed. Rage coursed through his system, and he jumped into the battle, grabbing elves in his mouth, breaking their necks, and throwing them down on the ground, hard. He roared very loudly, so loud that the rocks themselves shook. He smashed another three elves with a large boulder, and then used the same rock to smack an elf in the face. Blood covered the elf, and he fainted. To the others, he appeared dead. Gus smiled again, knowing that the evil elf might as well be dead. No body can take their head being bashed against a stone wall at a very high rate of speed.

The old elf that had seen at the front of the cave smiled at her and said, "Nighty, night." then laughed evily, and Sera's world went black.

IC: Solarae thrashed her tail back and forth as the elves closed in. They kept pouring over her, trying to get in their own attacks. They had made themselves impervious to her fire, and all Solarae could do was tear at their wards until she broke through. Either her fire or her claws dealt the final blow when she did get through a specific ward. She seemed to have a sixth sense about when the right ward would break, too; she felt a ward give way under another attack by her tailblade, and kept it swinging. Somehow she knew that the elf had become vulnerable to attacks at his midsection. Solarae knew that her vast fighting experience was coming into play, and thought herself lucky that she had such a large reserve of knowledge and skills to rely on. Her younger friends were not so lucky. She saw a flash of blue and looked back to see Sera collapse. A group of dark elves had gathered around her, the original one still alive and standing over her. Solarae roared, and dashed towards them. She didn't want to waste energy, but if she had to she would cut off their escape with magic flame. Even spells by the elf would not extinguish her magic fire without a huge drop in strength. Re: RPGC- From within the belly of a beast Gus slashed another group of elves with a sharp-edged rock. Their bodies were cut exactly in half. Marveling his handiwork, Gus did not notice Sera being captured. He and his parents launched more rocks out into there like they were before, not noticing anything.
Paconio, on the other hand, noticed it. He followed after Solarae, to protect her from any of the tricks the elves might try to play on her. Re: RPGC- From within the belly of a beast Sera roared as the elves around her began to chant. She realized that some of the words were from the Ancient Language, and that the chant, as it were, was in actuality a spell. The elves began to speed up their chant, the words seeming to fuse together into a mixture of different words, sounding like meaningless babble. Then the elf they had seen in the front of the cave stepped forward and smiled cruelly. He laughed and said, "Now, you will pay for interfereing withour plans, you will beg us for death before we give it to you." laughed the evil elf as he hurled some sort of ball of energy into the air, and the world went black.

Re: RPGC- From within the belly of a beast Solarae fought her way forward, ferociously killing all elves that stood in her way. She ripped out the throat of one and then leapt forward towards Sera, hoping to reach her and protect her from the rest. Just as she landed, however, the dragoness disappeared, and Solarae was surrounded by a circle of evil elves. She turned around, hissing and growling as the elves closed in. She crouched down, tensing her muscles. You will pay for that... she hissed in a dark, foreboding voice. Her eyes were glowing with a strange, fearsome light. The flames around her suddenly flared brilliantly with blue and yellow light. A wall of blue-yellow fire spread explosively out in a circle around Solarae, enveloping all the elves foolish enough to have thought to attack her. They screamed as they were consumed in flame, and a few dozen more along with them.
The fire flared out, dispersing into invisibility. Solarae stood panting in the center of a circle of ash, her fire disappeared. She glanced up and saw that several of the powerful elves had managed to escape, including the first one, but dozens had been scorched by her fire. Re: RPGC- From within the belly of a beast Paconio watched in horror as the elves began to chant. There was no point in even attempting to stop them then, but still, he tried to. He sliced his sword at one of them, and found that their wards were far superior to his fighting skills. As he thought of an alternative route of attack, a powerful blast of magic hit him and sent him flying. He went unconscious for a few minutes.
When he awoke a few minutes later, he found Solarae destroying elves with her magic fire state. When she began to pant, Paconio jumped to her defense. He took a ton of energy from the gems on his headband, almost too much to handle. Take whatever you need from the jewels, you need it right now more than I do, He said to her, taking off the headband and sliding it behind him. His forehead shone a bright white, from not taking taking his headband off. He looked quite silly. Some of the elves began to mock him, and while they were busy doing that, Paconio struck. Faster than was possible without huge energy boosts, Paconio rushed forward. His motions were a complete blur, but after he stopped moving, several of the elves dropped to the ground, dead. "You see?! You fools are no match for us! Just give up now, while you're still alive" Paconio said coldly to the remaining group of elves. "And while you're at it, you can bring us to our friend" Augustus stared in shock as Solarae and Paconio began killing the elves like there was no tomorrow. His eyes widened to an even more extent when he noticed Sera was gone. Where is she...? She had no clue where she was, but there were dragon scales all over the floor, there were some of all colors, but the most prominent color was green, there were greenb scales of all different shapes and sizes, from hatchlings, to ancient dragons, all of them were there, Sera was too busy looking about the cave, she did not see the whip coming. It his her in the bend of the neck and the blue dragoness roared in pain. The elf she had first seen stood there. He laughed at her pain and hit her again, this time acriss the thigh. The whip cut through her scales, much like a hot knife to butter and each hit hurt more and more.

Re: RPGC- From within the belly of a beast Solarae glanced up and took a grateful sampling of Paconio's stored energy. Thanks, she said with a grin, feeling the fire return to her limbs. She looked around, triumphant; less than half of the original number of elves remained. She lowered herself into a fearsome crouch, jaws parted to reveal her long, deadly fangs. Attacking my friends was the last mistake you'll ever make, she hissed to the elves, grinning evilly. She jumped at the group, racing around like a lightning bolt. None could touch her, and all fell before her. At least, that's what she felt like. She got a few scratches, but they were rather unnoticeable. She sliced and stabbed her way ferociously through the throng, determined to finish off the group and then find Sera.

Re: RPGC- From within the belly of a beast Paconio did a perfect back flip, grabbing his energy warehouse and tying it back to it's place, on his forehead. He followed Solarae into the group. Many swords jabbed at him, but most were blocked by the brown eyed elf, and the others were stopped by his wards. He plunged his sword into the chest of the nearest elf, and pierced through the chest of the one behind him. He took his sword out of the two as quickly as he had plunged it in, which was super fast.
He sliced another elf's arm off, and though it disgusted him, he took the elf's arm and smacked another one in the face with it. A 'crack' sounded throughout the area. She had closed her eyes and was holding on to her very last thread of sanity, then heard a voice, it said, "Do you wish you were dead now, do you regret helping those cursed green dragons? Hahahaha, well, it does not matter, you are ours now, and when you break, we will use you as our own personal weapon." laughed the elf cruelly.

Re: RPGC- From within the belly of a beast Solarae and Paconio were now faced with the last dozen elves. Gus and his parents had backed off, apparently. Solarae liked to think that they were a little alarmed at she and her friend's ferocity. But when the orange had a friend to save, nothing would stand in her way. Do you see this, do you see your allies lying dead around you? This was the path you chose! she screeched at the elves, who visibly flinched at her words. Flames erupted out of her mouth and spread out, swirling and scorching around the group. Solarae leapt forward to finish them, blood flying as she passed out of the group and landed on the other side. When she was done, not an elf was standing.
C'mon, we have to find Sera. There's no telling what's been happening to her! Solarae cried, whipping her head around to glance between her friends. Re: RPGC- From within the belly of a beast Paconio ran to finish off the last of the elves, but was cut off by Solarae. He didn't complain, though. He knew she was a better fighter than he was, and had many advantages (not to mention powers) that he did not. When she finished them off, Paconio ran down the hall beside her. They had to find Sera as fast as possible, or bad things could happen.
Gus and his parents followed behind Paconio and Solarae. They couldn't exactly keep up with them because they used all of their energy up throwing rocks. Re: RPGC- From within the belly of a beast Solarae bolted down the tunnel, not waiting for Gus or his parents. They'd find her and Paconio, but right now Sera needed them more. Do you think we should just follow the elves' scent? They could lead us to their base or main home, which could get us closer to Sera, she said breathlessly to Paconio. She was already doing just that, but she needed to know if her friend had a better idea. They needed all the speed they could get to save the blue dragoness.

He continued to follow her, looking at the path of destruction left by the evil elves. "This is disgusting, how could anyone do this?" Paconio asked to no one in particular.
Then, something caught his foot. He tripped, but he was prepared enough not to fall down. A poisoned arrow flew from one wall to the next. It flew so close to Paconio's face that if the elf wanted to, he could've bitten the shaft of the arrow! The arrow stuck to the wall on the other side. Re: RPGC- From within the belly of a beast Sera opened her eyes. She did not move a muscle, all that moved were her eyes. She dare not stir enough for the elves to realize that she was awake. She quietly looked around. The elves were huttled around a small fire, which made little smoke, but it was very pungent. She looked silently at the elves, the lashing from earlier still fresh on her mind. Her entire body ached. She knew she was in trouble...

Re: RPGC- From within the belly of a beast Solarae nodded. Well just keep feeling for her with your mind while we run, she replied hastily to Paconio. She continued her mad run forward, following the scent closely down every twist and turn in the corridor. She heard a scuffling sound behind her and then a sharp twang, and leaped into the air, spinning around to see what had happened like a startled cat. Paconio was on the ground, an arrow lying just a short way away from him. Maybe we should be a little more careful... Solarae said with a sheepish grin.
When her friend had recovered, she led the way down the hall again, until it stopped before three splitting tunnels. The scent of elves was strong in each one, meaning they had probably found their main home base. Any ideas? Re: RPGC- From within the belly of a beast Paconio looked at the three different tunnels with a quizzical expression. "I can't seem to see which one she is in... It is as if they put some kind of spell on this entire area that would block my mind..." He said, confused. When the three green dragons caught up, Paconio said, "I suggest we split up. Gus and I can go down the center tunnel, Solarae, you can go down the one to the right, and William and Emma, you can go down the one to the left."
Paconio and Gus ran directly down into the center tunnel. It was cold, damp, and most of all a strange slime seemed to coat the floor. William and Emma did as their son's rider instructed, and ran down the tunnel to the left. It was strangely warm. They bound her to the column even more tightly and beat her again, though this time it was with a club. The blunt damage from the club was irreversable and she had many broke bones. Still, she clung to her sanity, for it was all she had....

Re: RPGC- From within the belly of a beast Solarae tore down the right hall without hesitation, racing down as fast as she could. She felt the fire burning within her, aching to be released upon her enemies. She growled under her breath, sending sparks flying from her jaws. Just hang on, Sera. They'll pay for whatever has happened to you, she thought ferociously, already picturing the deaths of many elves. She ran so fast that the few magical traps were sprung when she was already gone. Apparently they had not anticipated the speed of a small, angry dragon.
Solarae nearly froze in her tracks when she caught the scent. Up ahead, another tunnel intersected with hers, and she caught the smell of Sera down to the right! Paconio! Gus! Emma and William! If your tunnel intersects with a perpendicular one, head to the right! Solarae cried out, hoping they could catch her words. Re: RPGC- From within the belly of a beast Paconio and Gus ran with extreme determination down the hall. They did not hear the voice of the orange dragoness. All that was heard were their footsteps splashing in slime at a fast rate. They had found out the slime was for slime-based magical traps, having tripped some. From freezing the ankles of the victim with slime, to having the slime mold into a person and have to fight it, the pair had endured what they figured was all the secret traps in the tunnel.
Then, Paconio saw another tunnel. It had two different ways, left and right. After consulting each other, both decided to head right. They sped down, their feet making loud noises... William and Emma were having no trouble, unlike the rider and dragon. Anything that got in their way (which had lacked to happen) would get smashed with a rock. They continued to go down, until they were faced with a dead end.
