My Poems
Your own life
I have been to many places
You have not been to one
You have your own life
I have my own life
If you had lived my life
I would have lived yours
Then wouldn’t that be strange
You me, me you
You have been through many things
But not the same as I,
For your life is yours
And my life is mine
When you fell I did not fall
When I fell you did not fall
For my life is mine
Your life is yours
I have been to many places
You have not been to one
You have your own life
I have my own life
Oak tree
In the woods
The deep old woods
There grows a tree
A growing oak tree
There the oak tree stands guard
It will be there for years to come
It has been and always be
For it is mother of all trees
In the woods
The deep old woods
There grows a sapling
A growing sapling
The oak tree has a child
A growing sapling
In mothers shadow
Growing, growing till it is mother of all
In the woods
The deep old woods
There grows two trees
Two growing oak trees
Flame & Fire
In the woods
The deep old woods
The fire burns
The great and mighty fire
Consuming it sweeps through
Burning homes
Homes from ages past
It burns the clearing and the brush
It burns and eats the trees
The two growing oak trees
Who hath done this the squirrels chatter
Who could destroy the homes the ask
They think man hath left his fire unattended
They think it burned through homes
Homes from ages past
Then they band together to find this man
They find the culprit
Not the man, the angry sky
The grey old sky
Who sent the lighting down
That burned through clearing and through brush
Burning homes
Homes from ages past
The angry sky hath sent it down
In the woods
The deep old woods
The fire burns
The great and mighty fire
Ants of the Meadow
When you run through the meadow
The lovely open meadow
You crackle and crunch through the grass
The dry old grass
You ask yourself why the ant bites me
The tiny stinging ant
For what have you done to the ant
The tiny stinging ant
They seek consolation
Sweet good consolation
They wish to chew you up
Chew you with there jaws
For you hath run through there homes
There tiny little homes
And have run through them again
They are angry and wish consolation
But you do not know this
The crackle and crunch of grass
The dry old grass
Is the crackle and crunch of there homes
You run, but they are every where
The tiny stinging ant
You take a bath, yet they find you again
The tiny stinging ant
When you run through the meadow
The lovely open meadow
You crackle and crunch through the grass
The dry old grass
Dragon
When he roars fire gushes
Burning scorching fire
When he flies lightning strikes
When he lands thunder booms
He is the Dragon
The scaled old Dragon
Old as the mountains
Strong as the mountains
He feeds of knight
Strong mighty knight
He feeds of maiden
Fair young maiden
No knight
No strong mighty knight
Can kill the Dragon
The scaled old Dragon
When he roars fire gushes
Burning scorching fire
When he flies lightning strikes
When he lands thunder booms
