How much energy does an eldunari have? Is there a limit? If there's no limit Galby would have a lot of power. Also if there's no limit couldn't Eragon bring sombody back from the dead?

There's a limit on any one eldunari to. Basically the eldunari can contain as much spare energy as was in the dragon's body when disgorged and the amount of energy it can store will grow for another seven years is what Oromis tells us in the book though it's riddled with holes.

Eragon is going to have to separate Galby from his eldunari to kill him. With that much energy in an eldunari there is no other way.

true but what if the VoS has an Eldunari in it that has more then just that limit and if there is im wonderingwho it belongs to and what eragon can do with it

That's not really a limit as dragon's never stop growing so theoretically it could contain more energy than all of Galby's however how much an eldunari can store is also related to it's size. Something with as much energy as above would be massive.

If it was that big Eragon couldn't carry it around so he couldn't access its power.

Your forgetting how old the dragon that disgorged that Eldunari would be, not to mention the size of the dragon when it was alive. It would probably die of hunger before it grew to that size. It's incredibly unlikely that an Eldunari as big as the one we are discussing could exist. But that's just my opinion.

there might be some lost somewhere, wild dragons might have theirs hidden

also there could be eldunari in the VoS and their energy amount could be a increadible

We as readers still do not know if that is true.

The amount of power in an Eldunari hasn't really be specified. The reader only knows that it is powerful and that it can be used to bolster ones spells. We also know that the larger the Eldunari the more powerful it is. However, no matter how much magic it contains I cannot fathom how it could revive the dead. The body is already decayed and if it were possible I'm sure that it would have been done already. I feel that you are over analyzing the possibilities.

It's a true that Galby has many eldunari but he certainly doesn't have them all. I think that The Vault of Souls is a place where many Eldunari are hidden. And in my view Galby doesn't know about that place. I think that Eragon will find that place and will use the Eldunari against Galbatorix.


I can't remember if an Eldunari can "die". But if it is possible, I think that before it happens a lot of power has to be spend.
