 MP3 PlayersThis is a topic for everyone to discuss what type of MP3 players everyone has. Surprisingly there wasn't a topic for this made yet.... I have a Creative Zen V Plus, which I don't really like much.... The screen is tiny, it can only hold up to 4 gigs, and it really doesn't have any unique features. What types of MP3 players does everyone else have?

Re: MP3 Players I have an iRiver H10 20 GB. It's pretty good. It's really reliable and easy to use. But the only bad thing is that it doesn't have video on it. Other than that it's awesome. And not cliche, like iPods.

Re: MP3 Players Yeah, your iRiver is great. 20 GB would be amazing, but I probably wouldn't need that much space. All I need is 4 to 8 GB and I'll be fine. My Zen is just terrible, though. I try to charge it on the computer for like 10 hours and the battery is still on red. I'm sure something is wrong with it. So I was thinking of getting something new. I'm looking to buy either and iRiver Clix or a Cowon iAudio 7. Both of them seem reliable.

Re: MP3 Players I have a Sansa Sandisk Connect 4GB. Though the product was discontinued since there was some bug or something. No wonder I can't get any more videos on it... I want to get a new MP3 player with 8GB and I was looking at the Cowon iAudio 7 and iRiver Clix too. Does iAudio 7 have video and pictures on it? I want to get that. Lol you can get iRiver Clix!

But really, I wanted Cowon iAudio 7. I don't think iAudio 7 has videos or pics, but it still has some distinctive features. And I don't even care if it has pic or vids anyway, I just want a decent music device capable of holding enough songs for me and something that also isn't outdated._________________

Actually, I was thinking of getting a different kind of Sansa. You know, one that isn't discontinued? So I was looking at Sansa View and it looks perfect! I simply must get it! I wonder how much a discontinued MP3 Player will cost... _________________

Re: MP3 Players Well, it does have videos, photos, radio, recorder, and 8GB, which is perfect for me! Except it doesn't have a speaker, but that doesn't matter.
Half price? Could be. Or maybe it might even sell for more than usual, since you can't buy it regularly anymore. But if it doesn't sell at all, which it probably won't, I guess I'll just keep for the speaker.  _________________

I have a Cowon D2, 4 GB. It has video and pics but I can't figure out how the heck that works. I mean, I've downloaded countless video converters and tried putting my videos in like 10 different formats but it just doesn't work!!! Ah, well. As long as I've got my music, it's fine. Plus it has a touch screen, so that's cool. And I have this cool faceplate on it that's all shiny and has swirly vine designs _________________

I don't really care about pics and vids anymore; as long as I have music, I'm satisfied. You're touch screen is really amazing. Cowon iAudio 7 has this swing touch feature. I've never seen anything like that before, which is another reason as to why I desperately want one. _________________

It took me ages to save up the money, and my parents chipped in about £30 as a birthday present, and right after I bought it, the 3rd Gen nano comes out at exactly the same price, double the memory, and plays videos. I was soooo annoyed, but I still love my 2nd Gen.
Everyone says they break easily, but I've had mine for ages, and all it needs is careful handling- it's never been scratched or frozen or anything. I have nearly 400 songs, so still a fair bit of space left. iTunes is good if you ask me, 79p per song, that's a lot cheaper than CDs. The only thing I hate is the fricking AAC encoder, they try to stop you sharing music, so you can't copy or convert songs you've bought from iTunes (I can get around it simply, but it's still an inconvenience *taps nose*). Another bad thing is the headphones that come with them- they're bad sound quality, and break easily, so I bought some £17 Sony ones instead and love them, definitely worth the cost. _________________ . .  . . . .

Yeah, I don't bother with any of those music downloaders because they try and encrypt it or some wizardry. I borrow CDs from other people(or the library ) and copy the songs off of them. Yep, the headphones that come with them are almost always garbage. I don't buy much off of iTunes, I normally buy CDs if I want the whole album, or if it's just one song I'm after, I find a free download, but if I can't find one from a decent site, then I'll use iTunes (plus when I bought my iPod I got a free £15 iTunes voucher with it which I still haven't used up after about 2 years lol). I've seen Gumis in shops, but never actually tried them, I have cool sony ones with a weird shape that goes much deeper into your ear so you catch better bass. I love them lol. @kotorchief: Yeah, sounds cheaper. The CDs I get tend to be pretty cheap too because it's random obscure music lol. Not as low as that though, normally about £6. My iPod has more memory than my computer RAM (but obviously not the hard drive) but some do have crazily big memories, like the ones that play movies and stuff. _________________ . . . . . .

 . It's not the current one so it dosen't rotate the screen  . However, it has good battery life and good quality. photos don't have vey good quality once i put it on. I want an iPod Touch!!!!!!!!!! |

I finally got my Cowon iAudio 7! Actually, I got it like a month ago lol, just got too lazy to post about it. It has 8 GB and I got a few pictures on there. I tried to get videos, but when I try to view them on the Cowon, it doesn't play. Toph told me you need some Cowon converter or something, but I think it's hard to find, plus it's really no big deal. I don't even need videos. I got a lot of music on there, you know, obviously. Oh yeah, and it can record stuff, which is pretty fun. _________________

Re: MP3 Players I have a BLUE iPod shuffle. It's only 1 gig but I only have 44 songs on it. I've gotten sooooo used to listening to it, when one of my friends borrowed it, I almost screamed because most of the songs I bought on iTunes. I've used about 4 different pairs of headphones and only one pair has worked OK and thats the ones it cam with. I'm about to buy some "iLogic" headphones at Wal-Mart and I'm wondering if anyone has any and if they work well B4 I buy them.

Re: MP3 Players Hmm.... I've never head of iLogic. But, I do use JVC Gummy headphones, and they're pretty good. Comfortable and good quality and only around $10. Of course, if you want something more heavy duty, you'd probably not go with them. But they're easy to use and good for casual everyday use.

Re: MP3 Players Well, I think that was the name of them. I'm not for sure though. They're white and look like the ones that come with the Shuffle except they have what looks like a pole running up alongside it. They're hard to describe but I think they might come with an iPod video of Touch. I'm not for sure on that either though. I've seen those Gummy ones but none similarly match the color of my iPod. Do you know of any that are about this color: BLUE

Re: MP3 Players I don't mind not having a display. I have my music arranged in ABC order so I know what is coming on when. I think displays are a waste of battery time. My iPod can go for days without charging. Technically, about 16 hours. I listen to it an hour on the bus every day, to and from school, and maybe an hour at home. Then I charge it. I really like my iPod. It has worked for me. It even has a clip on the back.

Re: MP3 Players Headphones are one of the few things I will spend good money on for great quality (yes, £17 is a lot to me). I got "MDR-ED21LP Sony Fontopia Plus In-Ear headphones" which I love. I've never used skull candy, but from what I heard, they haven't got as high a sound quality as they should have for that kind of price, though they are still fairly good.

Re: MP3 Players My iLogic ones someone got twisted inside the protective plastic thing and they broke. My neighbor had wrapped them around my iPod too tightly and the tore. They barely play but I'm having to make do with what I have. My neighbor paid me back the prIce of them, $4. Anyway, one of my friends has Skull Candy ones and they broke 15 minutes after she started playing her music. They just stopped playing. I tried my headphones and they worked fine, so it was the headphones.
@ Avatar Aang:I use iTunes to buy and organize music. I like it better than Media Player or any of those that come with your computer. Plus, by using iTunes, I get chances to add things to my Compaq PC that come on Macs, like Safari. I use Safari for everything. I use it to get on SF, EF, and my e-mail. It's soo much faster than the normal Internet, and I have a dial-up connection! Anyway, I perfer iTunes. _________________

I usually use Realplayer or Media player for that purpose. I don't think I've ever even seen iTunes, lol. Or paid for a song. Except some CDs, I did buy those, lol. |

Re: MP3 Players I have a 120 GB zune, 2nd gen. Its so sleek and sexy, and I've never had any problems with it. I also bought the zune premium headphones with it (the ones you get with it are just like the ipod ones - horrible), and they work pretty dang slick.

It also has recording ability and radio. YOu can even record off the radio xD. Pretty fun. I wanted an Apple Ipod Touch but can't afford it lol.
