Ever sense he journeyed towards the ancient temple of the lighting dragon kingdom he has been able to summon an electrical storm and can send messages to others through shockwaves that enter the nerve endings of their brains which gives them the message. Another ability he was given was to summon a lighting shield around himself and cane breathe fire and lightning bolts.

Home Village: None he was born in the outskirts of an elven city trying to make sure he is not seen. He does not remember the name of the city he was born in but remembers that it was a large city that he liked very much but only the city not its inhabitants.

Parents: Father, Flasicora a red rider's dragon. Mother: Gastrodona A green female wild dragon.

Siblings: Two younger brothers and three younger sisters he has never met them or heard of them when he was told his mother was killed he never found out the fate of his siblings.

Character Personality: He is very quiet and is nervous around humans and dwarves, elves to but slightly less. He trusts know one and will usually stay away from people. He had a rider who abandoned him when he was only a hatchling for having an injury when he was supposed to help build a wall. At the age of fifteen a local dwarf village found him nearly starved. At first they were nice to him but when he grew stronger they beat him and kept him in a small, fire proof room. They taunted him and let humans, elves or other dwarves though it was mainly dwarves and humans, beat him and take out their rage on him. He was on slave labor until his rider came and ordered them to beet Equinox some more. He was very small for his age and at that age was about as large as a rhino. At the age of fifty he finally escaped. An archer fired an arrow at him and he breathed some fire that turned into an inferno that burned down the whole town. He only meant to defend himself but instead killed many people. He was recaptured and tortured nearly to death. He was knocked unconscious and tossed into a river. He now fears all human like creatures and fellow dragons. If someone does become his friend he is nice to them but will never trust them. He dislikes fighting and would rather finish things by peace. He live in a small cave and hides from everything because he fears being killed and doesn’t want anyone to be alerted of his presence. He vows revenge and wants to find his rider and murder him. He has never seen his brothers and sisters and seldom ventures out of his cave. He tries his best to be hidden and if someone does find them he tries to convince him to leave either by intimidation or by force. His entire life has been full of mistrust and betrayal. If he does make a friend he won't dislike them but he won't trust them. He is nice but quiet and prefers to stay out of arguments.

After coming out of seclusion and meeting a bunch of friends, Equinox has become more outgoing and defensive of his friends and very aggressive against his enemies. Like always he is a kind and caring dragon, but he doesn't like to see those he loves in trouble.

Character History: He was forced out of his egg and forced to be the dragon of an evil elf named Crimson and immediately out of the shell was put on slave labor. One day he was forced to help put up a wall and a piece of stone fell off and crushed his leg. Instead of it being healed he was thrown into a wall and hit with the flat side of a sword.
Crimson's workers and soldier's laughed at him and brought the injured hatchling to their leader. His leg was deformed and Crimson in his rage of his dragon’s deformity tied Equinox with a rope and tossed him into a stream hoping he would drown. He washed up on the shore and a group of humans found him and beet him because they feared dragons. A young human girl named Jackie was his only friend. She was nice to him and gave him food. She was his only friend in the world. On the summer of his tenth birthday she was married of to a man named Robert. He demanded that she never talk to that monster and if he caught her talking to Equinox he would kill her. She went to say goodbye to him and tried to explain he didn't want her to leave but she did anyway. She was sad to leave him but he thought that she didn't care about him. He didn't hear anything from her until he was fourteen. She and Robert came back to the city with a baby boy. She never came to see him and he tried to escape. He eventually did and found her. Delighted he flew down to her to talk however, she did not seem happy to see him.
"Dragon," she said "you are out of my life I do not care about you anymore, leave or my husband will kill you. I have a baby and I will raise him to hate your kind. I am Loyal to my king and will help kill your kind starting with you." He asked why but she ignored him and called for the guards. He flew off and was shot many times. He fell into a forest and for months he stayed there. Finally a small group of dwarves found him almost dead. They took him into their village and feed him back to health. He thought he finally found a place that would be nice to him but after a few months when he regained strength they started to beet him. He asked what he did but they beet him more. They cut into his scales and dropped a poison into his wounds that made them hurt badly, not just for hours but days. He was then chained and the muzzle around his snout was made smaller to cause him pain. A few elves came to the village one of them being Crimson. He went up to him and laughed he laughed so hard the other elves feared he would collapse. When he did they blamed it on Equinox and told the dwarves to beet him further. After fifty more years of pain he finally escaped. Dwarven archers fired arrows at him and he shot back some fire but it turned into an inferno and destroyed the whole town. He was then pursued by humans, elves, and dwarves he flew into a forest and was attacked by more humans. He lived out his time in cave hiding from the creatures that betrayed him and secretly plotting revenge. At the age of one hundred he found his father. Equinox expected his father to be glad to see him. But instead he was enraged at him for fleeing his rider and destroying a dwarf village. He explained why but his father didn't care he just demanded for him to say that it was all his fault and that he was a useless dragon that should never had hatched. After he did say that his father was mad at him for that and attacked him. Equinox killed him because both of his wings were injured. He then found out from another dragon that his mother had been killed by humans. He asked about his siblings but the dragon knew nothing of them. He went back to the city of his birth to have vengeance on Crimson but the city was destroyed. He now lives a few miles away from the ruins.

A few years after he came out of seclusion he met several friends, the closest of which include, Phal, Elcyon, Eris, and Quasar, all have helped him several times against Crimson. He was trained by the great gold dragon Feafnir, who taught Equinox to control his lighting and fire breathing. On a journey to an island shrouded in mist he and the others with him came upon a creature called the terra bird. They are much larger than most dragons and will eat dragons if they can. He met a dragon named Elcyon on an island, and while looking at cave drawings, Equinox learned that he was among one of the last lighting dragons in existence, the rest mostly dying at the end of their reign, in the Beor Mountains though some did manage to survive . It was slightly afterwards, the Equinox found out he loved Elcyon. Crimson arrived, and managed to convince most of them to join him, the remains joined Equinox in an attempt to stop Crimson and the other terra birds which they find to be a disgrace to their kind. Later in the spine he and a few others including Quasar led an army to try and stop Crimson's expansion. During the battle Crimson tried to take over Equinox's mind. Quasar severed the rider bond between Crimson and Equinox which saved Equinox from becoming a mind slave to Crimson, or dyeing, but by doing so, Quasar sacrificed her own life to save her friend. Before Quasar's death, Equinox's friend Throat Ripper was killed by Galedrim who betrayed them. So far Crimson has killed two of Equinox's friends. Crimson had promised Equinox that before he ended his life, he would make sure all of the ones Equinox loved were dead. At a great temple in the Beor Mountains, Equinox learned that he was the last heir of the ancient lighting dragon kingdom.

Weapons: Other than his teeth, claws, and fire Equinox can shoot and breathe lighting. How he can he didn't know at first but found out it was due to his lighting dragon blood. Other than shooting lighting, he can create a lighting shield around himself and summon electrical storms. Most of the storms are usually moderate, but sometimes they turn into torrents.

Likes: His friends, nature, the Varden, elves, and all those against evil.

Dislikes: Crimson, Galbatorix, all other evils and those who hurt others.

Character's Physical Description: He is small for a dragon mostly because of his malnutrition. His scales are usually dirty so they don't shine and attracted humans, dwarves, or elves to come and kill him. His eyes are a deeper blue but they have a slight trace of purple in them. His left front leg is bent inwards and his foot is slightly bent downwards. His leg has a large scar on it that goes all around it. He got it while he was enslaved and was being beaten. He has stopped growing because of something that happened to him during his life.

Dreams for the Future: To kill Crimson and defeat the empire. To make sure no more of his friends are killed.

Reason for Dreams: - Vengeance, and to protect his loved ones.
