My Favorite book is Jeremy thatcher:Dragon Hatcher. It's not very long, but its a good book I think the dragon in it and saphira in eragon have very similar personalities.

if u wanna read one of the best fantasy series to date, read The Dragonriders of Pern by Anne Mccaffrey. if uv read that already, go with The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkein. only one dragon in it, but still a fantastic book.

The Dragonriders of Pern is basically about this planet called Pern that has been colonized by humans. It revolves around this erratic star called the Red Star. Every time the Red Star comes close to Pern, it drops destructive blue Threads onto Pern, causing widespread death and destruction. So the people of Pern used their ability to alter DNA to create a race of dragons that can fly and breed and protect Pern against the Threads. Every time they ingest firestone, special enzymes in their stomachs make it able to ignite on contact with oxygen when they breath out the fumes. This fire allows the dragons and their Riders to destroy the Threads before they hit they ground. The Pernese also built Holds that are literally built in caves and can support millions of people when the Threads are falling. I heard that the series is much, much better if u read them in the order McCaffrey wrote them. The first book is called Dragonflight, then it's Dragonquest, and then The White Dragon. These are just the first three books. In all, there are 16 books, so it's quite a bit of reading.
If you like this, then you should also like the Dragonlance series. The number of books are far more numerous, and the dragons are, as far as I know, evil, but it's still a great series.

Oh I agree with you on this one. The series is FABULOUS!!
But I think you are incorrect on the amount of books. So far I have 18 books from the series and I believe I don't have the last one which was written in collaboration with her son Todd McCaffrey.
I know there are two outtakes from the world of Pern. The Gift of Dragons is one of them, and this I have.
And I know that she wrote an outtake on Moreta. That one made me cry so hard. It tells about what Moreta is thinking and feeling while she's in between!
The point is that the series is one heck of a ride! I loved it and I still go back to them once in a while!!!!!!!!

Try the Dragons in Our Midst books by Bryan Davis. Theiir really good. A preqeul just came out called Eye of the Oracle which will be a kick off of another series that will be after the Dragons in Our Midst books that will be called Oracles of Fire
There are four DIOM books and one OOF books so far, but three more OOF books are on the way.
