I think he would be free because with Galby dead know one would no Murtag's real name and once someone dies they wouldn't have control over anything in life.

True, but remember that Murtagh said "We are his servants FOREVER" This could mean until Galby dies, or we hav to do watever he sais for the rest of our lives.
Think about it, if Galby maid Murtagh swear to be loyal to him, that might mean that once Galby has died Murtagh MUST carry out wat Galby was doing unless Galby releases him. On the other hand it might mean that Murtagh has to serve Galbatorix for as ling as Galb lives, and that once Galby dies there is no one to be loyal to.
Personally, I don't WANT Murtagh to stay evil until he dies, but it could go either way. However keep discusing we might get it rite!!

The chances are that will happen. I think that Ayra (Who will be the next rider) and the green dragon will kill Murtag and Thorn (Unfortunitally) and Saphira nad Eragon will kill Galby and Shrukin.

By the way, Eragon will probably fite Galby once and lose thereby verifying Solembum's words of "..when you feel like you do not have enough power..." or something like that, and then fite him again and kill him after he opens the VOS.

The evidence does mostly point to Arya at being the next rider in my opinion.

That could happen with the VOS, but another thing that ould happen is the Varden will lose and then Eragon will go to the VOS and they will get help.

In some cases, the main character does die. If this be the case, book four would be about the new dragon rider (if there is one). Or maybe it would be about the Varden actually making a name for themselves. Because, now that the elves have a reinstated relationship with the Varden, they might join together and battle Galbatorix. And against all odds, what do you know, they win. The new rider (if there is one) and Murtagh (if he's not evil when Galby dies) will join rule Alagaesia, instating peace and happiness for all. If Murtagh is evil, the Varden will kill Murtagh as well.

Ahh, but then u would have to learn the new riders background, plus, why would CP start with Eragon if he was gonna make him die?? He would prob start with the new rider then later introduce Eragon. There is probably only a 0.1% chance that Eragon will die.

CPP probably won't have him killed in any of the books. He'll probably go of to some elven island with Arya.

For starters, 0.1% is bigger than 0%, so I have still have faith that Eragon might die.
As for why CP would start off with him...well, he lets you get attached to a character, but then kills him, ripping your heart apart forever, making you say, "WHHHHHHYYYYYYYYY????" Just like in Fair War of High School Seniors.
And, if you read my first post, I said "Unless...", so I'm not saying it's going to happen, but it's just an interesting thought.

I don't think chaos would really happen. Maybe a big, large party where everyone drinks themselves to death, but nothing more. Someone (Eragon, Roran, etc.) takes over and that is that. Everything's better for everybody.

If someone takes over where will be the difference between 'before' & 'after' ? And who's going to listen to them when they try to take over? Besides Galby can controll minds of people and his hiearchy that means Empire can fight to its very last person: 1)lot of people to kill 2)most of them are innocent since Eragon is such a hippie how will he manage to deal with something so horrible?

The difference between before and after is that before: Galbatorx is evil, and after: Eragon, Roran, etc. isn't. And with Galbatorix gone, he can't control the minds of people. And if he can, Eragon is alive and in his live state is more powerful than Galbatorix and can fix it. Or maybe he's not and Eragon has to get all the elves to help him. Either way, Eragon will fix it and Eragon, Roran, etc. will take the throne and everything will be good.

The chances are it would be Roran. For all we know though he could die. Or CP may continue the story and have Eragon die also.
