Restoring One's Honor
OOC: Traven is trying to find and kill Servix so that he can prove himself to his father and become king. Servix is an Ayleid, and the last known one of his race. Ayleids are enemies of Nylid, Traven's race. Depending on how far the RPG goes, it might move to their homeland towards the end. Anyone can join. IC: Servix gently brushed Zervin's long, black hair. The day had just started, so he planned on obtaining supplies from Kuasta soon. He and Zervin's temporary settlement was a small, but comfortable house in Kuasta. He had set up a camp a few miles outside of the city, located in a small forest in case he needed to quickly escape from Kuasta. He had picked a small city for the obvious fact that it was a small city, and while people were more known in small cities, it didn't matter if you didn't make yourself known. Also, if a larger group of Nylid ever did come by this area, they would attract attention, being a large group, and might even be attacked by soldiers in Kuasta.
After brushing Zervin's hair, he exited the small house and searched for Kalin, the city's main market owner and source of supplies. Zervin had to stay because he couldn't attract any attention.Traven collapsed. He had left Therinsford yesterday and was currently nearing Teirm. If the Ayleid wasn't here, then he would continue south. However, he hadn't slept since he had arrived at Therinsford, and neither had his men.
"Prince Traven-," one of his soldiers began, but Traven grunted loudly, cutting him off. Traven pulled his head up and scowled, "I told you, just call me Traven! I don't deserve to be a king, let alone a prince if I can't capture this Ayleid, and I don't need sleep. He's close, I can smell it!" he ranted, almost to convince himself. He of course had no idea where the Ayleid was. He hardly had gathered any information about the Ayleid. All he knew was that he traveled with some black beast and that his eyes were pure white. "We must hurry to Teirm! It's a secluded city, and it lies near the ocean, so he could be there!" Traven ordered, but he could feel himself drifting to sleep by the second. In less than half a minute, he had fallen asleep where he had fallen, on the ground.

Re: Restoring One's Honour
Ancell wandered around Kuasta's streets, waiting for his sister to return. She had left for Teirm a few days before to spy for the Varden, but was supposed to return soon. Ancell wasn't really watching where he was going, and accidentally bumped into someone, who in turn fell, knocking over a vendor's cart, causing him to spill everything. Ancell grimaced, and was about to start helping clean the mess up, but stopped before doing so as he felt the vendor's glare on him. Ancell apologized for causing trouble, and walked off in another direction, still not watching where he was going. Ancell grimaced again as he ran into a man with blue hair, and white eyes. "I am sorry." Ancell said. Ancell didn't recognize the man, and figured he probably hadn't been in Kuasta for an extremely long time, else Ancell would have noticed. "Are you new to this city?" Ancell asked without realizing it.
Anette flew in her human form towards Teirm. She would have made it a long time before now, but she had been slowed down by a storm. Suddenly Anette saw a group of soldiers. They all looked very tired. Anette noticed one, who looked like the leader, asleep. He looked more worn out than his men. Anette landed, and shrunk her wings to hide them. "You guys aren't from around here are you?" she asked kindly, wondering if she could do anything to help. "Hey, why don't you rest, while your leader is asleep, and you can't go any where? I can be a guard for all of you, and wake you up if anything dangerous comes." Anette's used her pleading, hard to resist eyes to try and convince the soldiers. Her face held a look that said she really cared, and that she wasn't lying in the least bit.

Re: Restoring One's Honour
Servix glanced upon the sights of Kuasta, which really wasn't much. He had been looking around him, trying to use his surroundings to determine where the market was when someone bumped into him. Snapping back to what was around him, Servix noticed an angry vendor picking up items from his spilled cart across from him, occasionally throwing a glare towards the Elf who had bumped into Servix. "A friend?" Servix chuckled to the Elf, referring about the vendor. "Ah, it's fine. I wasn't paying attention, and I am fairy new in this city, and I don't even stay here much, so I still have trouble locating everything around here," Servix said, trying to figure out what part of the city he was in.
Gil, Traven's adviser, had bent down to help Traven when the prince had collapsed, but a girl landed in front of them. Gil's eyes widened, "Were th-those just...wings? Ah, never mind," he said, as he shook his head to focus himself, but it seemed that he just couldn't. Hey, if the prince could collapse and sleep, then why couldn't the rest of the soldiers? "Uh..yeah, that sounds like a good idea," Gil said, and after thanking the girl, ordered the soldiers to set up camp. Normally, he would politely refuse the girl's kind offer and continue on, but they hadn't slept in days, and after all of that traveling, stopping only to eat breakfast and dinner, who wouldn't be beat? Rather than drawing out a sleeping back to sleep on, Gil just dropped down and lay his head on a patch of leaves. He was asleep within seconds. The rest of the soldiers followed suit and just slept down the grass.

Re: Restoring One's Honour
It had been awhile since he'd last been in Teirm, but it hadn't seemed to change all too much. Aaron laughed to himself, everything was so odd in the lad lately. He supposed it didn't matter, not to most of the people here anyway. As of now he was on a mission for the Empire. The thought was funny for him, he did missions for both the Empire and Varden without the other knowing. The only group he was loyal to the Resistance which he helped form in the first place. Still, he preferred the Varden above the Empire. His mission was to assassinate a man inside the city. Depending on what he learned about the man would determine if he did it or not. Most of the times he simply ignored the Empire's orders, but they were starting to distrust him. "I suppose it doesn't matter, I care little for those fools," he laughed to himself. Perhaps he'd warn the man that the Empire was out to getting. At once he shook his head, no, it was no matter to him, he'd just ignore the mission and stick to his original plan. As he was debating he almost stumbled upon a camp. At once he straightened up and glanced at it for a time. At first he thought it was an attack force, but there didn't seem to be enough soldiers for a siege of Teirm. Walking inside he asked, "What's going on?"

Re: Restoring One's Honour
Ancell smiled. "Not exactly a friend." he said. "I am Ancell, pleased to meet you. I'll show you around the city if you wish. I have nothing else to do." Ancell looked at the man, studying him. "You seem like a good person. Where are you trying to get to? The market place is nearby, and is always a good place to go if you get lost."
Anette smiled in concern when the soldiers all laid down to rest, and immediately dropped off to sleep. They must have been really tired. Anette made a small fire, and began preparing enough soup for all the soldiers. Then a man walked up, and Anette glared at him when he spoke. "Shh!" she said, and added in a whisper, "Can't you see that they're sleeping?" her face looked displeased at first, but suddenly Anette changed it to a smile. "You can help me guard!" she said happily, with her puppy eyes. "Can you stand over there please?" Anette motioned with a ladle in her hand.

Re: Restoring One's Honour
"Pleased to meet you, I am Servix," Servix greeted. Even though he only had to go to the market, he still had no idea where any other place in the city was, and Ancell seemed friendly enough. "Yeah, a tour would be nice," Servix answered quietly. "I'm more or less trying to explore the city, since I have so much free time lately. Have you always lived in Kuasta, or were you born somewhere else?" Servix asked.
Traven twisted and turned as he heard someone speak. Finally, he sat up and yawned, stretching as he did so. His face changed to shock as he saw two strangers around him, and one seemed to be cooking something. His look then changed to annoyance has he looked around and all of his soldiers were sleeping. However, he fell back asleep immediately as he didn't see, or rather care, if anything or anyone around him was a threat.

Re: Restoring One's Honor
Aaron smirked at Anette. Glancing at the soldiers he said, "From what I know it generally isn't hard to get soldiers to sleep. Maybe mine are different. Anyway, nice to meet you all." When Anette spoke he gave a quiet laugh, "Demanding huh? I like that in people, I'm usually the only one who is able to get people to do as I want. As for guarding? Why should I? I'm just walking by?" he likely would anyway, he had nothing better to do and truthfully, he didn't feel right not being with an army or at guard. Curse Equinox and his damned Resistance, ah well, at least it was something safe to be in without someone trying to kill you. Glancing at them he said, "Did they just get out of a battle?" meaning the soldiers.

Re: Restoring One's Honor
Ancell smiled at Servix, and began leading him towards the market place. "I was born in the southern section of the Spine, a little to the south of Kuasta. I've been here about a month now, and am waiting for my sister to return - which gives me a lot of free time." Ancell had loved Kuasta from the moment he stepped into it, and had been quick to memorize even the small back streets, wanting to know everything about the small city. After a month of living there, Ancell could find his way around in the dark, and even sometimes with his eyes closed as he knew even the distinct feeling of each street stone. "So what brought you to Kuasta, if you don't mind telling." Ancell asked as the market place came in sight.
Anette noticed the leader awaken, and noticed the shocked look on his face. When she saw him quickly drop back off to sleep she shook her head in concern. "Poor guy. He really must be exhausted. Then Anette turned her full attention to the man she had pretty much ordered to be a guard. Anette smiled at the man, hiding her annoyance that he hadn't obeyed her immediately. "Why should you guard you ask? Because I said so that's why." Anette said with a convincing-type voice. "If you didn't want to guard than you shouldn't have gotten in my line of sight. Since you came up to the group, it's logical to think that you want to be around people, therefore you must do as I say." Anette said everything kindly, and almost explained it to the man like she would to a child, but making it different enough so the man couldn't get offended. Anette glanced at the soldiers when the man asked if they had been in battle. They looked dusty from travel, but Anette could smell no blood on them. "I don't thinks so." she said slowly. "I arrived only a couple of minutes before you. Oh, and I'm Anette, but you may 'Boss'. What are you called?" Anette asked for the man's name in curiosity - she hated not knowing things, especially when she was trying to be in command.

Re: Restoring One's Honor
Servix listened intently as Ancell began his story, but when he asked what had brought Servix to Kuasta, he eyes darkened slightly. "I'm in hiding from a dangerous race." Judging if he could really trust Ancell or not yet, he added, "It's just me and Zervin, a friend of mine. I don't know how close the enemy is, even if they are in Alagaesia or not, but every day, I feel like my time here is running out. But, let's not speak of such dark matters. Where is your sister?"
As they got closer and closer to the marketplace, Servix pulled out his wallet, fishing out money of Alagaesia's currency. He had worked various jobs, so he had a good amount of money. "Is there anything you would like from the marketplace? It's the least I could do in response to your help," Servix said politely.

Re: Restoring One's Honor
Aaron couldn't help but laugh at Anette's response. With a smirk he replied, "Nice to meet you Anette, I am Aaron. And boss? Sorry, but I never refer to someone like that especially someone I just met. As for guarding, just to annoy you I'd say know, but I did come here and personally I have nothing better to do so yes I suppose I will stand as guard." he glanced at the soldiers, "at least they seem to be doing well. There has been so much fighting lately I'm surprised they don't seem more exhausted." He watched Anette carefully, part of him wasn't sure if he could trust her or not. He shook the thought away, it was foolish, he just knew he didn't like people try to boss him around when that was his job. "So you say you're pretty much the commander? Tell me Anette, have you ever led soldiers into battle? Have you ever attacked a force much larger than your own knowing it was suicide but the only way to protect innocence?"

Re: Restoring One's Honor
Ancell looked at Servix through the corner of his eye. "I thought you said 'let's not speak of dark matters'." he said in partial amusement when Servix asked about his sister. "Busy spying for the Varden." he said, as if it didn't matter if others heard him. Some merchants gave Ancell weird looks, but he didn't care. He knew his sister could escape any enemies if that came up against her. "Eh? Buy me something? Better not. My sister may not approve of it. Wouldn't want to get you on her bad side." Ancell said with a smile. "I have a roof to live on, and enough food to eat. What more could I want?" Ancell suddenly got serious, and said in his mind to Servix. Don't worry about whoever is chasing you. I won't let anyone harm someone I see as a friend.
Anette looked at Aaron, fake annoyance on her face. "Such a bad subordinate!" she said with amusement. "Won't obey his commander's orders!" Anette smiled despite the fact that Aaron refused to call her 'boss'. At least he obeyed her in the guard area... Sort of. "I'm not going to eat you." Anette said as-a-matter-of-fact when Aaron studied her as if unsure about whether he could trust her or not. "Eh? Why would I want to fight? I'm a runner, not a fighter!" she said confidentially, not ashamed in the least. "Yes, I have commanded soldiers before, but not in any way where I would get harmed." She said, remembering past battles for the Varden. "I much prefer my job of spying for the Varden than fighting for them though." Anette didn't care if Aaron worked for Galbatorix or not, knowing she could escape if it came to that. "I leave my brother to lead the battles and do all the fighting. It's his job to kill, and mine to heal." Anette spoke with a smile on her face, but her voice was completely serious. "How many suicide battles have you led, Aaron?" Anette asked, adding a few things to her soup.

Re: Restoring One's Honor
OOC: Forgive my ignorance, but what is Rhinocerous 3? I don't know about Dark, but I'm terrible at handling other characters lol.
Servix chuckled as Ancell talked about his sister. "The Varden, eh? I would probably help the Varden as well, but that would draw too much attention to myself, which would be troublesome," Servix replied. "From what I can tell, your sister seems to be...different from you. Not in a bad way, though. It's nice that I could actually meet someone here who is trustworthy," Servix said, and they finally reached the marketplace. Servix handed Kalin several crowns, and in return, Kalin handed back supplies. As Servix carefully stuffed the supplies into the sack he had carried on his back turned towards Ancell. "I've decided. Would you like to meet my friend, Zervin?" Servix asked. "However, I warn you, he is probably not what you would expect around these parts," Servix said, and shrugged his shoulders.
Traven stirred at the sound of more commotion. The two strangers he had seen earlier were still there. Traven sighed, picked up his things, and stuffed them into a pack which he slung onto his shoulder. "I appreciate your help, but we're on a tight schedule," he said to the two strangers. He walked over to Gil and kicked his shoulder lightly. Gil continued sleeping, and as Traven continued tapping Gil's shoulder with his foot, Gil simply shooed Traven away, his eyes still closed and his breath still even, betraying that he was still asleep. Traven cursed, "Forget it, I guess I shall wait for them to wake up. I must admit, even I was a little tired back there," he said obliviously, not willing to admit that he had fallen asleep.

Re: Restoring One's Honor
OOC: I'm not good at controling other characters either. I'll just wait till you get back Aaron gave a laugh at Anette. Shaking his head he replied, "Be lucky I actually have, well more of had reason to be here otherwise I likely just would have left. Anyway, as for suicide battles? Only one, but for one I wasn't in command of that my two generals were," he hated the fact of Quasar and Equinox, well more Equinox now since he was still alive, being his commanders, but it was true enough, "and besides that we were more forced into the battle. As for battle's I have led, I've pretty much one all of them." He turned back towards the city and crossed his arms, "Not a bad defense at all, a few weak spots here in there, but all fortifications have that." he said out loud but mostly to himself.

Re: Restoring One's Honor
Ancell smiled. "My sister different from me?" he said as a question, laughing. "You don't know the half of it!" Ancell waited as Serviz got what he needed, and when he told Ancell that he could meet Zervin, Ancell agreed. "Little surprises me anymore." he told Servix. "Do you know the way back? Or shall I show you the section you live in?" Ancell added with a smile.
Anette looked at Aaron. "You wouldn't have dared to leave!" She said confidentially. "You would be too afraid of getting on my bad side." Anette tasted the soup, and nodded, satisfied that it was the best she could do on short term notice. Anette glanced at the city. "Well I will find those weaknesses, and all the hidden ones, then the Varden can thank me for all my hard work for them." Anette ladled out some soup into a bowl, and looked at the one in command of the group. "Let them sleep all they want, and don't push them so hard!" Anette said with a slight frown. Anette walked over to him, and handed him the bowl, with a look that said she wouldn't allow him to refuse it. "You were only a 'little' tired?!" Anette said, obviously displeased. "Ha! Stop lying. You pushed yourself too hard! Don't you know you can make yourself very sick by doing that?!" Anette's face changed from the scolding one she had been wearing to a kind, concerned one - she also stopped waving the soup ladle under the commander's nose too... "And sit down when you eat!" she added for good measure. Anette walked back to the pot, and offered Aaron some soup, before remembering to introduce herself. "I am Anette, but you may call me 'boss'." she said, ignoring Aaron in case he tried to make a comment, or face about that.

Re: Restoring One's Honor
Servix chuckled, and replied, "I think I remember the way now. It's about time too," Servix said, and he grinned. "If you are so sure you won't be surprised, let us go see him," Servix said, and began walking towards his house. Well, where he was thinking his house would be, anyway.
"We Nylid don't tire as fast as a human would," Traven replied, not afraid to openly admit his race. "They aren't as tired as they seem," he reassured. He accepted the soup half-heartedly, thanking her as he did so. He gave the girl an odd look, before tentatively sitting down on a stump. "I shall admit, I did push myself a little more than normal, but it's necessary in order for me to accomplish my goal. Speaking of which," Traven leaned forward, "have either of you seen a white-eyed man, possibly traveling with a black beast?" His tone had changed to one of suspicion and seriousness.

Re: Restoring One's Honor
"Oh Anette, I think it's you who should worry about getting on my bad side. I'm in an oddly good mood to day," Aaron replied with a laugh. Standing up, he took the soup she offered and made a display to sit in the opposite direction of the city so it would seem as if he wasn't on guard, "I feel no need to keep guard shift. Maybe you should yourself? We seem to need it more than I do." Glancing over at Traven he replied, "Sorry, I haven't. Since I came down south I haven't seen many people other than a few traitors and ran into you and these soldiers and this loud mouth. Where are you from anyway?"

Re: Restoring One's Honor
Ancell smiled, and followed Servix. He felt this person was a very good one, and was beginning to feel a dislike for those hunting Servix. "Don't be afraid to ask me for directions." Ancell said in slight amusement. "My sister isn't here to make fun of you for losing your way." Ancell watched Servix closely enough so he could determine his character. Suddenly Ancell realized Servix was neither human nor elf, but didn't say anything, not wanting to draw unwanted attention to Servix.
Anette looked at the Nylid, ignoring Aaron's first comment. "A little?! Stop lying! You men are all the same, always refusing to admit mistakes!" Anette said. "You definitely pushed yourself way more than would be normal, or else your soldier would have woken up!" Anette changed quickly from scolding into a pleasant voice. "Sorry, but I haven't seen any of those... I've been to busy spying." Anette turned to glare at Aaron when he called her a loudmouth, and threw a turnip at his head. "Watch who you're callin' names!" she said with a glare, putting some soup in her ladle, and preparing to catapult it at Aaron if she felt she had to.

Re: Restoring One's Honor
Traven's eyes widened. This girl was creeping him out. She changed from pleasant to angry faster than one could blink. He threw his hands up in the air in defeat, trying to hide a smile. "Fine. I admit it. I pushed both my soldiers, and myself, too hard. I shall not do so again." Normally, his pride would be insulted in such an apology, but this girl was different than most, and he doubted she would ever admit defeat outside of battle. As both of the strangers repeated the same answer that they hadn't seen the Ayleid, Traven sighed in exasperation.
"I'm from the land of Cerudin, in the Nylid capital of Reath. I doubt either of you have heard of the area, but I am the legitamite prince of Cerudin, and I will not rest until I find that Ayleid." His voice slightly faltered as he mentioned he was the prince of Cerudin. "Those of the Ayleid are treasonous, foul beasts!" he ended. "What about you two? Where are you from? Also, I'd like to know your names, if you don't mind. Mine is Traven."
Servix nodded with a smile and continued walking in the area he was pretty sure lead to his home. After nearly ten minutes of trekking almost aimlessly, he recognized his home. It was a small, brick home with two doors. This house was specifically chosen because the back door is nine feet tall, which allows Zervin to exit and enter the home to his leisure. Servix contacted Zervin mentally as they neared his house and said, I am approaching with someone. Before Zervin could hurriedly jog to the back door, Servix interrupted, He is a friend, and means no harm. His name is Ancell, and I thought I'd introduce him to you he said, and Zervin grew less tense.
Servix knocked on the door before shouting, "I'm back!" He twisted the doorknob before entering, and there, laying on his side, was Zervin, his black fur still soft and straight from the recent brushing. His head picked up as they entered and he greeted the friend, Welcome to our humble abode, Ancell. It is a little small, but there is more than enough room for us three. I am Zervin he said as he stood up to his full 8'6" height and bowed.

Re: Restoring One's Honor
Aaron laughed at Anette, but didn't throw anything back, he simply shoved the food off him. To Tavern he said, "I suppose we'll get used to her eventually. Though I must say, I'm glad to see someone who stands up for themselves and tries to push others around. Though it doesn't seem she realizes it won't work for me. I must agree with Anette, pushing yourself and your soldiers too much can end up hurting you and your mission more than you hoped. Pushing is good, but too much will simply tire yourself, your soldiers, and bring you a lot of stress. Legitimate prince? Sounds like something's messed up from where you're from. Mind telling us what happened? As for my name and where I am from? My name is Aaron, and I am from the north."

Re: Restoring One's Honor
Anette looked satisfied at Traven 'admitting' that he had pushed his soldiers, and himself to hard. "A prince, eh?" Anette said, not doubting, but a contemplating look on her face. "I know the Empire fairly well if you need a guide while hunting for your enemy." Anette said, as if it didn't really matter at all. "I am Anette. I am from the Spine in a section near Kuasta, a little south of here." Anette looked at Aaron in surprise when he only laughed at the splattered turnip on him. "Of course I can boss you around!" Anette said, forcing herself to sound a little stern, but she couldn't help but smile. Not even her brother dared to stand up to her, so she was beginning to enjoy this. Anette put the ladle back in the soup, rather than launching the food on it at Aaron. She would just have to think of another way to make him submit to following her orders.
Ancell smiled as Servix seemed to almost lose his way, but finally he found it again. "A wonderful place." Ancell commented, looking at the roof rather than the rest of the building. "If you don't mind, I may 'borrow' your roof from time to time. When they entered Ancell looked with slight surprise at Zervin. Not surprise that Zervin was a wolf, but surprise at his size. "You must be hard to hide." Ancell commented. "I am pleased to meet you Zervin." Ancell said pleasantly. "I am Ancell the Shapeshifter, and spy." Ancell looked around, taking note of everything. "You really do live like you're on the run." he said to Servix. "Is there anything I can do to help you better hidden?"
OOC: Anette's gonna have fun with those two =D

Re: Restoring One's Honor
Traven smiled lightly at their words. Even when he hadn't been feeling his best for most of his life, these two were inspirational in their own way. "Yeah, I pushed them too hard. I know. It's just that I am very eager to find this man. He is very deadly to us Nylid. Once we are rid of him, we can start rebuilding our destroyed land. You are right though, Aaron. Too much work will do more harm than good." He paused, before resuming speaking, "Nice to meet you Anette, Aaron. Now what happened to get me here, in a land many leagues from my own? War. There was a massive war, started when a group of Ayleid attacked one of our Elders for no reason at all. It would be hard, if not much too difficult for one Nylid to restrain and capture several Ayleid, so he had to go all out.
"He killed one of them, and the action was reported by the Ayleid. We responded, and war followed between our two Races. Now, Nylid and Ayleid were immortal, so there wasn't a great demand for reproduction because of that, and our population in either race is similar to the Elves currently. However, despite that, this war was fought on a scale above the one here, partly because both Nylid and Ayleid are slightly faster and stronger than even an athletic Elf, and partly because of all the malice between our races. There was no holding back, and the land was bathed with blood." He sighed wearily, and then continued, "The war wasn't long. Both sides had suffered irreparable casualties, but the Ayleid had it worse than the Nylid. There wasn't as much Ayleid as there were Nylid, and their race is close to extinct. Except for one, single Ayleid. He had escaped, and his brother had almost made it as well. Normally, we would allow him to live in peace, but he is biased towards us Nylid, and won't stop until his race is restored and we are brought to our knees in chains," Traven ended. Gil, Traven's subordinate, nodded in confirmation.
Servix stared at Ancell with an amused expression as he said something about 'borrowing his roof.' "Sure, just don't do anything too crazy. And yes, he is quite difficult to hide. If it hadn't been for him, I would be able to move about completely conspicuously, and not having to worry about the large back door attracting attention," he said, his arms crossed at Zervin.
But I make up for it by getting you around quickly. You would have been caught years ago if it hadn't been for me, Zervin replied. Servix scratched the back of his head in agreement. It was probably true. Servix's gaze returned to Ancell in bewilderment as he mentioned that he was a Shapeshifter and spy. "Wait, what? So you're not really an Elf?" he asked. He was pretty confused. "Ah well, doesn't matter either way, but if you're a spy, then do you think that you can just let me know if you see or hear anything strange? It would be easy for you, since the enemy doesn't know your face, and you know the city well, as well as where I live."

Re: Restoring One's Honor
"I'm sorry to here that. Sounds like a lot of trouble at your homeland? What are you plans? To gather an army here and stop the fools from killing each other and make them settle their differences? I suppose it isn't too important to know the details, I'll help you if you want." He glanced at Anette and laughed, but didn't reply and simply ate his food. When he was finished he stood up and gave the late and cup to her, "Take care of this, I'm on guard so I can't do dishes."

Re: Restoring One's Honor
Anette looked at Traven. "You've been through a lot, haven't you?" she half said, half asked. "I can help you survive being around this stubborn guy." she said referring to Aaron, sending a little glare his way at the same time. When Aaron handed her the plate, and cup Anette wished they were made of something easily breakable so she could hit Aaron with them. "Hey, wash your own dishes!" she said, about to throw them back at Aaron until she remembered they actual plate, and cup belonged to her. Anette didn't wash the dishes however, but pulled out another pot, and put water in it. Anette dropped the dishes in there so any germs could boil away. Anette eyed Traven with a look saying that he had better do his own dishes, prince or not, because Anette certainly didn't want to. "You sure wasted a lot of time deciding to guard!" Anette told Aaron, with folded arms. "We could have been attacked fifty times by now!" Anette's expression was demanding an apology, but she wasn't sure that she would receive it.
Ancell smiled at Servix about his response to Ancell borrowing his roof. "Many thanks." he said seriously. "I'll move off of your roof when my sister returns so you don't have to put up with anything crazy on your roof." Ancell added a big smile when he thought of his sister. Ancell looked at Zervin. "heh, so you have both advantages, and disadvantages. I'll side with you for this one." he told the wolf with a smile. Ancell looked back at Servix. "Me an elf?" he said with a light laugh. "I apologize, I didn't mean to deceive you. It is merely the form I am in the most often. It makes spying easy when I can become an animal." Ancell looked Servix in the eye. "Describe your enemy, or enemies, to me. I won't let them near!" Ancell was completely serious, knowing there were ways he could divert an enemy.

Re: Restoring One's Honor
"Hm? No, I'm going to find the Ayleid and bring him back to my homeland, where he will be sentenced to death. It isn't my favorable scenario, but it's the only thing we can do to confirm safety on Cerudin. We can't lock him up, because unlike most Ayleid, this one can pass through solid surfaces. He is very dangerous, and a threat to Nylid everywhere," he replied to Aaron's question. "Your help would be quite beneficial, though. While there are so much odd traits about this Ayleid, it's very difficult to find him. For all we know, he could be hiding in the Beors, which would be nigh impossible to find him in without making a search party consisting of every citizen of Alagaesia to find him.
"Aye, I have been through a lot, and there is more to this story, as well, but it's somewhat secret, and I don't wish to reveal it to you two yet, even as trustful as you all have shown yourselves to be," he said. Traven eyed Anette wearily as he tentatively placed his plate into the pot, and once he did, he snatched his hand away, and sighed in hopeful relief.
Servix smiled, "Yeah, I think I can deal with you on the roof, but from what you say of your sister, I wouldn't be able to sleep at night knowing she's that close to even my home," he said. "Traitor," Servix said as Ancell sided with Zervin, while Zervin himself just smiled contently, just glad to know he had been right once again. "As for identification, I'm not even sure I've seen their group before. However, that might have been them. Anyways, I'm pretty sure I saw them. The one who looked like the leader had white, spiky hair with deep red eyes, but what really gave it away was his armor. It's not of this land's make, and it is golden-plated with an arch in the back. I'm not too sure either, but I think I saw a mark on his hand. I was sure that the legitamite heir to the Nylid throne was the one chasing me, and legitamite heirs have a Jisin on their right palm, which looks similar to the sun. I think it amplifies their magical ability, but I'm not sure.
"It was a close encounter, but I hid my white eyes, which is a sign that I am what I am, and luckily, Zervin wasn't around, so I made it. I realize I haven't told you what started the war between our two races. Well, I'll start off saying that I am an Ayleid, and the enemy is of the Nylid. Years ago, I was traveling with a group of friends when an Elder of the Nylid unjustifiably attacked us, and he killed one of my friends. We brought it to the attention of the king, but he simply said that my friend had gotten what he deserved for screwing with a Nylid. Our two races hated each other, but this is what sparked the war.
"It was so bloody, and I'll never forget it. I wasn't allowed to fight in most battles because I was a minor at the time, and both of our races were not very populated in the first place. My family was killed, and my father made his last stand fighting against several Nylid. Well, my brother and I were alive, however. We journeyed to freedom. We are positive that all of the Ayleid except for us had been wiped out, and we were determined to escape. We almost did too, but my brother was killed at the harbor. He spent his last bit of energy teleporting me here, to Alagaesia. The last image I saw on my homeland was my brother getting impaled by a spear," Servix ended.
OOC: Oh, and if you two want, you can bring in more charries. I'm about to make another Ayleid and bring her in.

Re: Restoring One's Honor
OOC: Ok
IC: Aaron tried to ignore Anette, but as she was standing right there he deicded it might be best to reply. He would have simply ignored her, but he decided it would be better to answer, "If I am on guard how can I be expected to do the dishses? As for being attacked trust me, if we were going to be attack I'd be more focused on rounding up the soldiers and getting them into position." he smirked at her and said, "If you really want me to do something it would be better to ask politely. You are not a general and thus your orders to not carry as much way to me as my own general does. And even he has trouble telling me what to do." Aaron replied and leaned against a tree. To Tavern he said, "Anytime, I'm sure we'll be able to track him, we just have to find the right resources and information.
Radenya wandered through the western areas of the empire. She hadn't been there at all and oddly Teirm intruiged her. Pulling back her cloak to make sure she wasn't noticed as a ra'zac she headed towards the city, but her gaze lingered on a camp of soldiers. With an odd look she headed towards them. Seeing a man at the front she asked, "Are you going to attack the city?" She wasn't sure why she asked, maybe it was just to get conversation. "No, ask Tavern what we are doing here. As for me, I simply wandered on them and decided to not go into Teirm and stay here. Though I may seem like it, I am not the leader, that would probably be Tavern. Or you can alsways ask her, she seems to think she can boss people around." he replied, pointing towards the woman by him, "by the way, I'm Aaron." "I'm Radenya, nice to meet you." Aaron grunted, "Where you from? You look like you could be of the east. Most of us in the west don't where cloaks." "I'll keep that to myself." Aaron nodded, "I see, so you worried about someone knowing who you are? I suppose that makes sense, crazy I think but hey, what can I say about the foolishness of people." Radenya nodded unsure of what to say. The man seemed arrogant, but frust by looking at him she didn't really want to mess with him. To the woman she asked, "Who are you?"

Re: Restoring One's Honor
Anette glared at Aaron, and almost changed into a dog so she could bite him. The only reason she didn't was because she didn't want to reveal her wings. She didn't mind being known as a shapeshifter, just not one with wings. Anette looked satisfied at Traven's action. "At least someone here knows how to follow." she said to Aaron. Then someone approached. As a shapeshifter, she was better at using her senses than most others, so she was able to tell that Radenya was a Ra'zac. Anette didn't comment on it, knowing how uncomfortable the situation could become if the others knew. "I am Anette." she told Radenya cheerfully. "Would you like some food?" Anette touched the other woman's mind lightly, but while she was doing so she told Radenya what she couldn't say out loud. "I am pleased to finally get to meet one of your kind - especially one who obviously has a good heart." Anette looked at Traven. "Don't worry! We will find the one who're looking for." she said confidently.
Ancell smiled at Servix. "She is my twin, so of course I will protect her, and her reputation at any cost. I will admit that when she's gone I can breath more freely." Ancell changed his face to one of mock disbelief. "I'm a traitor? I will just have to come up with someway to prove I am not one!" Ancell ended with a laugh. Ancell became serious when Servix said there was little information on that. "It will be dificult protecting you from foes I can't even recognize as foes." Ancell said seriously. "But white, spiked hair, and red eyes are a very distinguishing feature. I will watch out for one with those. His marked hand will make it even clearer."
Ancell's eyes hardened as Servix spoke of what he had gone through. "I will do my best to help you." he said solemnly. "No one should ever have to go through what you had to. I will help you so that it doesn't ever happen again."
OOC: I'll probably bring in someone else next time, or the turn after. I haven't decided who yet.

Re: Restoring One's Honor
Traven nodded in agreement with Aaron's statement. He had never seen the Ayleid, but he talked with several people who have, and they had given him descriptions of the man. Traven rolled his eyes at Anette when she wasn't looking, but he smiled at the same time. He had to admit, she was fun company. At the new arrival Traven said, "Yeah, I'm the leader of these soldiers, but we aren't going to attack this city. These two," he said, pointing to Aaron and Anette, "arrived when my group and I fell asleep. As for what we are doing here, I am searching for someone, and we were about to search Teirm for the man. If he isn't here, then we will move down to Kuasta," Traven explained. "It's nice to meet you Radenya, my name is Traven."
"You two seem like some interesting siblings," Servix said, giving a slight laugh as he finished. "They are also probably going to be traveling in a group. If they enter Kuasta, I'm probably going to have to flee. If I am forced to flee, I shall probably live in Ellesmera again. Speaking of that, I am supposed to visit the Elves soon," Servix said as he remembered it. "My brother teleported me near Du Weldenvarden, and then Zervin brought me to Ellesmera. I stayed there for some years before leaving with Zervin. They gave me this necklace," he said, pointing to it around his neck, "and it would lead me through Du Weldenvarden safely to Ellesmera."
Servix smiled kindly at Ancell as he said that he would help him. "I thank you sincerely. Your help is greatly appreciated."

Re: Restoring One's Honor
Aaron grunted and returned to watch. He stared at the city, thinking he should just go in there anyway. With a bored look he crossed his arms. He watched Radenya for a moment as she spoke to them, something seemed odd about her. Maybe it was just he didn't trust people in cloaks.
Radenya glanced at Anette as she spoke. "Yes please, I'm starving." she replied kindly. When she entered her mind and told her she was pleased to meet someone of her race she couldn't help to be started. How'd you know? she asked her. Even so, she was glad that she didn't judge her due to being a ra'zac. To Tavern she said, "It's nice to meet you as well. I'd be glad to help you if you don't mind."

Re: Restoring One's Honor
Anette looked at Traven. "That will work out nicely." she said. "If the man you're searching for isn't here, then my brother can join the hunt when we get to Kuasta." Anette suddenly smiled mischievously when Aaron turned his back to look towards the city. Anette gave some food to Radenya, and started to put the ladle back into the soup. Instead of just leaving it inside the pot, Anette set on an edge. Now someone just had to accidentally bump the pot, and the ladle would fly, and cover Aaron in soup. That should teach him to obey orders... While she was doing this, Anette answered Radenya with her mind. I am a shapeshifter, so I have better senses than just normal humans. Anette glanced at Teirm. "So we're going to start looking in a big city like that? When do we begin?" She asked. At first her voice had sounded a little in disbelief, but after that it sounded excited.
Ancell laughed. "Interesting doesn't describe even half of it!" he said in amusement. Ancell looked at Servix. Why would anyone want to kill this type of man? he wondered to himself. "It's a pleasure for me to be able to help you." Ancell said seriously. "Perhaps one day your hunters will know what type of man you are, and will decide not to hunt you. But until you're safe, or find better help, I will do my best to watch your backs."

Re: Restoring One's Honor
Traven gave a small smile in return, "Thank you. Your help is appreciated.
At Anette's question he replied, "Trust me, it will be easier than you think. We just have to search some of the bars, and ask some people if they have seen anyone with pure white eyes around. That definitely isn't a common trait, so an answer would pop up after little thinking in their minds. I shall let my men sleep for a little while longer, and then we will enter the city," Traven said.
"I wish it were that easy. They probably wouldn't listen to a thing I said," Servix said dully. "But I thank you for my support. Things may have just gotten a whole lot easier," Servix said. "I doubt I will find better help than you," Servix said, grinning. Meanwhile, Zervin had fallen asleep on the floor, his calm breaths coming in long sets.
Aylina's friends waved goodbye as Olivia raced through the forests, the female Ayleid on her back. She had finally done it. She had worked up the courage to leave Du Weldenvarden temporarily and visit the outside world. Olivia was now racing west as they left Ceunon, preparing to trek south once they reached the Spine, and first visit the merchant's city, Teirm. Not only was Teirm a great place to go sight-seeing, but she had heard that some soldiers of the Varden secretly resided in Teirm, and it would be great to visit them. It would probably be around a day and a half of constant travel, so Aylina had placed a spell on the ring on her forefinger, and it was to absorb energy from every plant and tree around them as they traveled that could spare energy loss. Some of this energy would be going to Olivia so that she didn't get tired as the day and a half drew on. Eventually, Aylina fell asleep, her hands around Olivia's neck.
OOC: They had left Ceunon before Traven had reached the outskirts of Teirm, so they would arrive at Teirm a little after Traven and group goes inside the city.

Re: Restoring One's Honor
Radenya thought about going in for a moment. She would like to, but thought it wouldn't be the best for her. "You three can go in," she said. Without thinking of how Tavern or Aaron would react she said, "I'll stay here, I don't think the people would take kindly to someone with a cloak walking through." With a laugh Aaron replied, "You should be fine. True me, you don't to see half the creeps that walk through this city at night." Radenya watched him for a moment wondering if he knew what she was also, but he simply turned his gaze back to Terim.
Aaron stared on and ignored the others for a time as they spoke. It would be difficult to search the whole city, but he was sure they could do it. They just had to find the right people.

Re: Restoring One's Honor
Anette smiled, now knowing for sure that she would be able to get the information she needed while accomplishing Traven's goal. "Are you really going to take all of your men in there?" Anette asked looking at the sleeping soldiers doubtfully. "The Empire soldiers might not appreciate that." Anette walked towards the pot, and 'accidentally' bumped it sending the spoon flying towards Aaron. "You should come Radenya! It would be a good experience for you." Anette said with an encouraging smile.
Ancell smiled grimly at Servix. "I will help you find a way to be free." he said. "No matter who, or what tries to kill you, I will stop them, and help you find the one path to freedom." Ancell suddenly grinned, and carefully sat down on Zervin so as not to wake the wolf. "You have a wonderful couch." Ancell commented with a smile.
Rianata approached Teirm, her eyes almost showing her awe for the city. Perhaps there would be key here to unlocking her memory, but perhaps not. Ryan didn't know why, but she felt excited at the prospect of entering the great city.

Re: Restoring One's Honor
Traven had thought the answer was simple in Radenya's problem, Take off the cloak, he thought, but he decided to simply say, "Yes, it would be easier with your help, and believe me, there are much weirder people in Teirm than one wearing a cloak," Traven encouraged. "And no, I don't intent to bring all of my soldiers in. With you two, three if Radenya decided to come, I'll bring two or three Nylid with me inside of the city, but I'm leaning more towards just two," Traven said.
"Gil, you stay here with the other group of soldiers. As my advisor, I trust you in keeping watch over them," Traven said to the now stirring Gil, who had woken up a few minutes ago.
Servix smiled in return, before murmuring, "Thank you." Zervin stirred as Ancell sat on him, but the disturbance hadn't interrupted his sleep, and he continued dozing. Servix laughed, "Yeah, he is the most comfortable couch here, but he is also the only one who dislikes to be sat upon, so he's a couch who doesn't like to have someone sit on him. Ironic, eh? Anyways, when do you think your sister will be back? It's not that I want you to go, but even with all of the warnings, I am somewhat eager to meet her and see Zervin's first impression of her," Servix said.
Aylina stirred as Olivia went over a particularly uncomfortable bump, and she lifted herself up. Judging by the sun, it was mid-morning. Ah, you awake, sleepy one. We shall be there a few hours after noon, which leaves about five hours of traveling, Olivia said.
"Wow, I slept that long? Are you sure you don't need to rest, Olivia?" Aylina asked worringly. Olivia has already been going for about a day, non-stop.
Don't worry, I am fine, Olivia replied, and they continued the sprint.

Re: Restoring One's Honor
Aaron snarled at Anette and brushed the soup off himself, "Watch where your walking. Now pick it up, it's your mess not mine." he said. To Tavern he said, "Sounds good to me. Let me know if there's any sort of trouble while we get in there. I'm good at breaking that sort of stuff up." He smirked to himself and glanced at Anette. Though her efforts to try and get him to submit to her were futile, he couldn't help but be impressed by her determnation, "You'd be a good general some day if you got your act together. You must know though, being a good leader is more than shouting at people or doumping soup on them." he said to her.
Radenya watched the city for a moment. After both Anette and Tavern spoke she replied, "I suppose I'll come inside. You're right Anette, it will be good." she smiled to herself and watched the city for a time. It would be good to see a large city.

Re: Restoring One's Honor
Anette picked up the ladle, and was about to hit Aaron over the head with it, when the spoon fell apart - probably because of how many time she had hit Ancell with it, and now throwing it at Aaron. Anette glanced at Gil, remembering he had seen her wings, though he probably thought it was only because he was tired. She didn't want them revealed. It wasn't that she was ashamed of them, but they clashed with the color of clothes she was wearing... Anette looked at Traven. "Do you want us to split up in groups, go all together, or go by ourselves?" she asked casually, as if it weren't important. Anette looked at Aaron. "Being a good leader requires someone who is also willing to follow." She said seriously. "Sometimes the leader has to show deference in order to preserve the peace, or attain his or her goal. A good leader has to be able to sacrifice themselves for their followers... In other words someone like my brother. Not me. First sign of danger, and I'm gone - after all I wouldn't want to mess up my hair while attacking someone." Anette added the last bit with a smile, though she knew it was completely unnecessary. She wasn't about to admit that fighting was a near impossibility for her.
Ancell smiled at Servix, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "She should be home any day now. She will contact me with her mind when she arrives." he said. "Despite what I have said about her, Anette is my best friend. She is a wonderful person."

Re: Restoring One's Honor
Traven nodded at Aaron's statement, and felt intrigued by their conversation of being a leader. He felt like he should contribute, but this was between Anette and Aaron, and even though he was sure that the two had different views, he wondered if the argument was more out of rivalry then actual debating. "I think we should travel in small groups. This Ayleid is probably really strong, so one of my servants, alone, probably wouldn't be able to handle him," Traven said.
"Good, your help is greatly appreciated," Traven said to Radenya when she said that she would go with them. "If you guys want, we can go ahead now, but we have to decide who will be with who. I don't know about the rest of you, but I think Anette and Aaron should go together so that they can solve their differences," Traven said before smirking.
Servix smiled at Ancell's declaration. Him and his sister must be really close. "Since I haven't really explored the city much, do you wish to accompany me? We won't have to worry about Zervin being lonely. He is probably going to be out for a few hours," Servix said.

Re: Restoring One's Honor
Aaron caught the spoon and set it on the ground. Standing up he said, "I agree, we should go in groups." When Tavern said him and Anette he smirked, "Fine with me. So, Anette and I and you and Radenya? Sounds good." To Anette he said, "You are correct, a good leader must also follow but at the same time know when to take command. Running at danger can be good as well. True, it is better to take it on and win through it, but at times getting away is more important. Only fools jump into battle they know they'll lose. Unless it is in defense for their homes or ones they love even then act with caution. Is it really worth it to defend a city against a massive attack force that will more than likely destroy you and take the city?" "How do you know all this?" Radenya asked. "I'm smart, pay attention, and a damned good general." Radenya stared at him. If her face wasn't covered by a cloack he was sure she rolled her eyes. He simply grunted.
Radenya nodded, "I suppose that will work fine then." She watched the city with a nervous look. She sighed and simply tried to remain calm.

Re: Restoring One's Honor
Anette raised an eyebrow at Traven but didn't say anything, as she was too busy wondering if she would be able to find time to spy, or if she would be too busy trying to make Aaron submissive - something she was beginning to slightly doubt she could do... Only slightly though. Finally Anette spoke. "Whatever you say 'Mister Prince'." she said with a little sarcasm. Anette looked at Aaron. "My brother makes a much better leader than you then." she said with a smile. "Because he knows how to be a follower." Anette made her voice sound like she was implying that Aaron couldn't take up the role of following. When Aaron said how he knew so much, Anette added to his short list. "And a little too full of yourself as well."
Ancell stood, and smiled at Servix when he mentioned exploring the city. "Of course." he agreed. "We wouldn't want you getting lost would we?" Ancell pulled a parchment out of his tunic sleeve. "This is a map of the city, but you must not ever tell anyone of it's existence as it holds valuable hidden military secrets about Kuasta which could be dangerous in the wrong hands." Ancell's face was completely serious when he spoke of the map, so Servix would know how important it really was. Ancell smiled again. "Where shall we start?" he asked, thinking of the many places in the city.

Re: Restoring One's Honor
IC: Traven's smirk was replaced by a glare at Anette's small taunting. Did she think he was kidding about him being a prince or something? "I was kidding, but only if you two are willing to do so," Traven said, shrugging his shoulders. "The rest of you should camp in the woods to the east," Traven said. "When you are so exposed, I don't want you three (there are five servants total, including Gil) to be attacked." Two of his servants stood next to each other, prepared to leave. "Alright then, let's go," he said, and approached the Teirm gates, and entered without much trouble, and walked to the center of the port city. "Ok, we should split and meet up here. We'll meet back here in three hours." He glanced at Anette and Aaron, "Please try not to kill each other in those long hours," he said.
Servix recognized the seriousness in Ancell's voice and nodded with a serious gaze as well, showing that he understood. "Hmm..maybe a bar or something, but I don't know. The only place I visit in this city is the marketplace, and besides, I'm not sure if you are legible to drink yet," Servix added with a grin. "Maybe a blacksmith? I have obtained some spending money over my years in Alagaesia," Servix said.
As they neared Teirm, Aylina frowned depressingly. "You do realize that you cannot enter the city, right? That means that you will be stuck out here if we go through with this," Ayline warned.
Olivia smiled encouragingly, I'm positive. You deserve to go sight-seeing, and I won't stand in the way of that.
Aylina smiled gratefully, "Thank you," she murmured happily and got off Olivia before walking towards the city gates.
Olivia smiled as she watched Aylina converse with the guards at the gates, and enter the city.
OOC: Aylina entered the city about five minutes after Traven and company did.

Re: Restoring One's Honor
Aaron smirked at Anette, "I can follow when I need to. Trust me, I am a general under the command of someone I probably should be above. And as for being to full of myself? It's only because I'm right most of the time." he grunted and led them into the city. As Tavern spoke he said, "Alright, where do you want to go?" he asked Anette sarcasticlly.
Radenya sighed as Aaron and Anette went off. To Tavern she said, "You know, I feel sorry for Anette." she said with a laugh. Looking around Tierm she asked, "Where should we check first?

Re: Restoring One's Honor
Anette refused to walk behind Aaron towards the city, even if it meant she had to walk a little quicker than normal to not fall behind him. She would not let him win. When they got to the city Anette looked at Traven. "And try not to get lost in three hours. I don't want to have to send 'general' to look for you." she responded to what he had said. Anette looked at Aaron, and replied in a serious tone to his sarcastic tone. "To the moon." Anette took a quick note around, and pulled a parchment out of her sleeve, quickly making some marks on it, and putting it back in her sleeve. "The market place would probably be the best place to start." Anettte told Aaron, wondering if he would choose somewhere else just because she said the market place. It was going to be a very interesting three hours, and Anette determined to have Aaron in submission by the end of them.
Ancell looked at Servix, and said in a quiet, but amused voice, "So I look like a child to you, do I? I don't know what your land is like, but I have been considered a man for eight years in Alagaesia." Ancell grinned, "But it would be bad for me if Anette returned and found out I drank something she doesn't approve of." Ancell's eyes held amusement when Servix mentioned a Blacksmith. There were a lot of those around. "What type of Blacksmith?" Ancell asked. "A good one, a well known one, one no one's ever heard of? Kuasta has a good number of Blacksmiths."
Rianata entered Teirm, looking around in wonder. One part of her said she should know this place, that she had often been here, but if she had then it was before she had lost her memory. A woman had entered the city moments before Ryan. A strange one with with white eyes. Ryan walked up to her, assuming she knew the city since she had spoken with the guards. "Excuse me, but do you know anything of this city?" she asked the white-eyed woman politely.

Re: Restoring One's Honor
Traven smirked, "Really? I feel sorry for the both of them. Though, to be honest, I think that they could become great friends if they weren't so competitive," Traven replied. "We should probably check the bars first. It isn't my favorite place to check, to be honest, but nearly everyone in Teirm goes to a bar, so we will probably find more information there. That is, if they aren't too drunk," he added, and began walking towards a bar known as "The Pearl."
"Nope. This is my first time in this city. I hardly venture out of Du Weldenvarden, so I became interested in the real world, and thus traveled here. But is there a specific store you are looking for? If we search together, we might be able to find it easier, and we wouldn't get lost as easily," Aylina replied. "Actually, this city is great for trading, so they probably have an excellent marketplace," Aylina said before turning her head around, looking around her for evidence of a marketplace. "That's a great place to start. What about there?"
Servix grunted, "Wow, they have some low standards here," he said, chuckling. He hoped that Ancell knew that Servix was just messing with him. "Aww, you don't want to upset your sister? Don't worry, I'm just playing. I don't even really want a drink either. As for a blacksmith...I don't care how well known they are if they have low quality equipment. Would you mind taking me to a good one?" Servix asked politely.

Re: Restoring One's Honor
Aaron nodded, "Yes, the market place doesn't seem like a bad place to start. You do know how to ask questions without making it obvious you're looking for someone don't you?" he asked her doubtfully. Still, at least she did seem to know what she was doing. He would have preferred to look around the street corners and allyways, a lot of the time the thungs and criminals knew information commoners didn't, but he decided the market might be a good place.
Radenya nodded, "I suppose you're right. Who knows, maybe they will if one doesn't end up killing the other first." Radenya suggested and followed Tavern inside.

Re: Restoring One's Honor
Anette eyes widened in surprise when Aaron agreed with her rather than saying another direction. She hadn't been expecting it. "Of course I do!" she answered, giving Aaron a little glare for seemingly doubting her. Then she added in a quieter tone, "Do you think I would be spying for the Varden if I didn't?" Anette's real intention for going to the market place first was because the size of it would tell her about how many people lived in the city. She had already guessed the strength of the walls. The next place would be those who had to hide from the soldiers - they would know about the army size. Anette glanced at Aaron, "Do you know the way?" she asked in annoyance, realizing she had no clue in which direction it lay. She hated having to ask that question from 'normal' people - asking Aaron was even harder.
Ryan smiled at the white-eyed woman. "Not any in particular, but you are right. Going together would probably be the best thing." she said, looking around to figure out which direction the market place probably was. "I am Rianata, by the way." she said looking at the other woman. "But I usually go by 'Ryan'" Ryan looked up the main road which led to the center of the city. "I'm guessing the market is probably somewhere along this road..." she said.
Ancell looked at Servix, and smiled. "You have less chance of being allowed to drink than me!" he said with a grin. "Because the bar owners would be afraid to give an old man like you something in fear that anything stronger than water could kill you." Ancell knew his grin made real offense impossible, and it was obvious that he, like Servix was just playing around. Ancell made his face serious. "A good blacksmith, eh?" He thought for a moment. Since he never used any weapons other than his own body that would be a little difficult. Suddenly he smiled. Anette only went to the best blacksmiths to make her cooking spoons, and knives. "I know the perfect one." he said, walking towards the door. "Just tell him you don't like his work, and you get it for cheap." Ancell said with a big smile that said he was remembering something amusing from the past.

Re: Restoring One's Honor
Traven and Radenya entered The Pearl, and Traven tapped on one man's shoulder, and he was sitting at a table alone. "Excuse me, I seem to have lost my nephew in this large city. Do you have an idea as to where he could be? He has white eyes, by the way," Traven added.
The man barely turned his head and grunted in response, "I don't know 'bout any white-eye man," he said, and continued his drink. Traven grimaced, Well that was helpful, he thought to himself. He continued like this around the bar, asking at least ten men throughout the bar. When the final one denied ever seeing such a man, Traven said to Radenya, "Well, it doesn't look like we will find anything here. The people here are probably too drunk to remember anything, even if it was about such a distinctive man," he said, before proceeding towards the exit of the bar. "Where do you think we should check now?" he asked.
"I'm Aylina," Aylina said, smiling at Ryan. They continued along that road, until they reached the center of the city, which was indeed the marketplace. It had a great view of the shoreline about a couple of miles to the west of the city. "Wow, this city really is pleasant to see," she said, storing the images around her to show Olivia when she left. "Well, we are in the marketplace. Do you have anything you would like to buy, Ryan?" she asked.
"Oh please, I age like an Elf," Servix said defensively. "I'm not sure what the aging is for Shapeshifters, but when I'm a thousand years old, I'll look as young and handsome as I do today," Servix said, grinning. As Ancell continued towards the blacksmith, Servix said, "Well, it seems like you have had some past experience with him that led you to think that. What happened?"

Re: Restoring One's Honor
OOC: This would probably be before Veni Vidi Vici right?
"Spy for the Varden? Looks like we actually do have something in common." he said with a smirk. True, he also spied for the Empire, but he wasn't going to tell any that, especially since he favored the Varden. Besides, he rarely ever did spy work anymore. He smirked when she asked for the way. "Follow me," he said, "it's not that far, near the center of town pretty much." he said. Teirm was a large city, but he had seen larger. It would be hard to siege this city, even from the sea, but he saw its flaws. What about an air attack? If there were enough dragons they would devastate the city. Teirm seemed to be made for an invasion by sea mostly, land a bit, but mostly by sea. "Fools, to be focused on one terrain of warfare than the other two." he said.
Radenya followed him outside. She took a glance back into the bar and shook her head. Looking at Travern she said, "True, but drunk people may no more than they let on. You might have to bargain at times. They did seem drunk beyond intelligent speech, but we shouldn't give up so easily." she said. Observing the city she said, "Maybe guards might know? They see a lot of the people coming in."

Re: Restoring One's Honor
Anette looked at Aaron. "You a spy? Somehow I don't see that!" she said with slight sarcasm. "You seem like the type who has to be the center of attention in the middle of a battle." Anette gave Aaron a look when he said to follow. She wasn't go to follow him anywhere! Anette walked so she was beside Aaron, and slightly in front. She couldn't let herself be beaten! She couldn't afford to allow him to ruin her perfect record. When Aaron spoke again about Teirm focusing more on one defense than the other two, Anette pulled out her parchment and made a note on it. "Good eyes. Maybe you were a spy after all." she said, putting it away again.
Ryan smiled at Aylina. "Pleased to meet you" she said, before they headed towards the market place. When they arrived Ryan looked around in awe. It took a couple of seconds for her to hear what Aylina had said. "No, not really." Ryan replied. "I really came to this city to see if I could regain any of my lost memories." Ryan looked around at the various people selling there wares. One gave a start when he saw her, and fidgeted uncomfortably, as if he were afraid of her. Ryan wondered if it had anything to do with her past, but didn't dwell on the thought. "You said you are from Du Weldenvarden..." Ryan said softly to Aylina, knowing that the forest wasn't well thought of by some. "Is it more beautiful than this city?" she asked, wondering if any of her lost memories were there.
"Even elves get wrinkles." Ancell said with a laugh - he had seen a few of them in his time. Ancell smiled at the memory of the blacksmith. "Hmm. I'm not sure I want to tell you. The laughter might kill an old man like you!" Ancell said with a grin, before telling Servix the story. "Anette wanted a set of cooking spoons, and knives crafted for her, but wouldn't be satisfied with them being made by anyone but the best. After weeks of searching we found an old man - claimed to be a dragon rider before the fall, but his dragon was killed. This man was very good, obviously with decades - or perhaps even centuries of experience behind him. It didn't take long for Anette to have him under her complete control, and soon she had him making everything she wanted. When he finished the work he demanded a high price. But by then it was too late for him. He was already under Anette's complete control. She told him how bad of a job he had done, and within ten minutes the man looked ready to cry out of disappointment for failing my sister. She told him she would forgive him if he gave her the stuff for free, so he did. Then she patted him on the head like a dog, and told him she was sure he would do better next time." Ancell paused to catch his breath. "We have had many other experiences with this blacksmith, that was just how we met him. He is now a faithful pet for Anette, doing anything, and everything she commands. She has never once met someone she couldn't make her pet if she tried." When Ancell finished speaking he turned down a dark alleyway. "He lives in the last house down this way." Ancell said, watching his step carefully.

Re: Restoring One's Honor
OOC: Yeah. Wouldn't be wise to venture into Demondred's territory. IC: "I know, but there are plenty others in the city, and yeah, that is a good idea," Traven muttered, surprised that he hadn't thought of that in the least. He and Radenya approached one of the guards near the entrance of the city and asked, "Have you seen my brother lately? He has white eyes, and I have no idea where he might have gone. We were supposed to meet up in the marketplace, but it seems that he has wandered," Traven said, using a different story this time around.
"Nuh, I haven't seen any white-eyed men enter the city, but several minutes back, a woman with white eyes entered the city. She went down the main street like she was going to go to the marketplace," the guard growled.
Wait, a woman? "Thanks," Traven thanked the guard, before saying, "I believe Anette and Aaron went to the marketplace. Do you think we should join them, or search around the central road?" Traven asked Radenya. "Wow, lost memories? That must be difficult," Aylina sympathized. "And actually, yes, Du Weldenvarden is much more beautiful than even this city. Don't get me wrong, Teirm has some interesting attractions, but they are all made from human hands, while the Elves communicate with nature for their needs, and you will be troubled to find a house that is artificial because they sing the bark from trees into homes," Aylina fantasized. "But Du Weldenvarden is very secluded, so things can get a little consistent and repetitive after a while. That's why I came here. It has been a while since I have seen the outside world." Servix smirked, "Yeah, but not for a while they don't. Rhunon is thousands of years old and she doesn't look a day over forty, and even then, she looks to be in her youth." Servix listened to Ancell's story with interest, nodding every so once in a while. "Poor man. Wow, it would be a lie to refer to Anette as humble," Servix said, lifting his eyebrows in surprise. "I am probably not as good at controlling him as your sister could be, but I think I might be able to haggle the price down to free like she did," Servix said, but he had his doubts. "She should be a merchant."

Aaron shook his head, "No, I wouldn't mind being in the front lines, but those are generally the first soldiers to die. I am a pretty damn good soldier and general though." He grunted, "A lot of the people I work with are fools. And as for being a spy, I am of sorts, though I haven't done much spy work lately, I've been concerned with other matters."
Radenya nodde,d "It sounds like a good plan. Maybe they've seen something."

Re: Restoring One's Honor
Anette sighed. "You just have too much pride!" she said in faked exasperation. "You should be humble, like me!" she didn't look at Aaron, not wanting to see what type of expression he would make. When they reached the market place, Anette first made a mark on her parchment again, then she looked at Aaron, and said, "Watch me question somebody. It will be good for you to watch a pro - maybe you will learn something!" Anette walked to a woman selling flowers, and got into a conversation first about flowers, but it quickly turned to the direction Anette wanted to take it. "... I once had this wonderful dream where I was in a field full of the most beautiful flowers..." Anette told the woman, who then told of a dream of her own. Anette saw her chance to ask the question she needed, and did so. "Last night I dreamed I was in the same field of flowers... It was so beautiful I didn't want to wake up. Suddenly a man with white eyes appeared. It was horrible. He wanted to destroy the field. I tried to stop him... But I woke up... I don't know what I would do if I ever saw someone with white eyes after that dream... But I guess having white eyes is impossible..." The woman selling flowers shook her head. "Not impossible." she said, looking around as if she were afraid the "dream person" would jump out and destroy her flowers. "There's a woman with white eyes standing over there." Anette's eyes widened in surprise. The woman with flowers nodded sympathetically, and was about to go into another conversation, but Anette had already left. "Traven said we were looking for a man, not a woman. I wonder if there is any connection between the two..." she said to Aaron.
Ryan smiled at Aylina. "I hope I can go there someday!" she said enthusiastically. Ryan suddenly felt herself shiver, and get goose bumps. She looked around. Something weird was going on, but she couldn't figure out what it was.
Ancell looked at Servix with a smile. "You don't know the half of it." he said in regards to Anette. Ancell opened the door to the smiths place. "Hey, Master Chafir, you here?" Ancell called out. A gruff voice answered for the back. "The spoons will be ready tomorrow if that's what you're here for delivery boy!" Ancell pretended to look hurt as the old rider came into the front. "I do more than deliver spoons!" he said in fake defense. The smith looked at him doubtfully, then asked, "If you're not here for spoons, then why are you here?" Ancell smiled. "If you're tired of making kitchenware, then this man would like to be something from you." Chafir looked at the white eyed man. "And what do you need?" he asked stiffly. Ancell looked at Servix, trying him to understand that he shouldn't be offended, but that the old smith was always like this. Ancell wondered with amusement if Servix would be able to notice how great Anette's persuasion powers were by seeing this old rider.

Re: Restoring One's Honor
"It's a plan then," Traven said and he walked towards the center of the city, which was the marketplace. It didn't take long for him to find Aaron and Anette, but as he began making his way towards them, he saw a woman with white eyes standing next to another woman with a long, black cloak. Traven hurriedly approached the woman, his hands gripped around his red dual weapons. His face was completely determined; he had spent years searching for the final Ayleid, one that could prove a danger to his race, and he might just have finally found her. "Excuse me," he said, whispering in a voice that was barely audible. "Are you the Ayleid?" Traven asked in a barely contained voice.
Aylina was just about to say something to Ryan when a man with crimson red eyes approached her quickly. He was frighteningly close, hardly a foot away from her. The man gave off bad vibe, and she was hardly able to hear what he said. "I'm not sure what you mean by just 'the Ayleid,' but yes, I am an Ayleid," Aylina replied. She wasn't sure why she just answered that, but Ayleid generally weren't known in this land, so how did this man know?
Traven looked around the city quickly. He couldn't cause a disruption in the middle of the city, but then again, if it meant that he could kill the Ayleid, then he could leave Alagaesia forever anyways.
The man drew his blades and lunged to stab the Ayleid. However, as if Aylina almost expected his attack, she backstepped his stab, and swung her arm in the attacker's direction. A shockwave was exerted from her swing and it slammed into the attacker, throwing him back twenty feet and into a merchant items stand. The stand buckled and collapsed as Traven collided into it. Let's go! Aylina shouted mentally to Ryan, and ran south, ready to leave the city. She mentally contacted Olivia as she neared the exit of Teirm, Meet me at the southern exit of Teirm. Oh, and we have a passenger, Aylina said before leaving Olivia's mind and continuing to run.
Servix's expression changed to one of confusion. He had expected a scrawny, high-voiced, person with a low self-esteem, but this old Rider had seemed to be quite the opposite. "Yeah, I heard your smithing skills are that of a two-year old cat, so I figured that you would be perfect," Servix said, his face composed. However, out of nowhere, Servix erupted in laughter. "Sorry, Ancell, I'm not very good at this," Servix said with a grin. "Yeah, Master Chafir, was it? I would like a few throwing weapons." Servix glanced at Ancell, trying to picture Ancell's sister persuading this man to do something.

Re: Restoring One's Honor
Aaron smirked at Anette when she spoke to the woman. "Not bad, though I generally try to avoid scarring people. Still, I supped it did work." When she mentioned the woman he shrugged, "It's possible, we should check it out. If they are related it could led us to the man."
Radenya watched Tvaren with surprise as he attacked the woman. She shrugged, but as the woman and the other person with her took off, Radenyagave chase. Being ra'zac would mean she was faster than humans, but as she thought about it, she had know idea how fast Ayleid were.

Re: Restoring One's Honor
Anette glared at Aaron. "Of course it worked! Did you think it wouldn't?!" She asked almost incredulously. Anette folded her arms, and looked away from Aaron, and towards the crowd. She saw the woman with white eyes, and a moment later saw Traven. Anette looked a little disappointed. "He beat us." She said as a simple-matter-of-fact. Anette looked at Aaron. "If you had used your eyes a little more, then perhaps you would have seen her before Traven, and we could have questioned her! You need to work on eing quicker!" she said, ignoring the fact that she too had failed to notice the white-eyed woman before Traven. Suddenly Traven tried to stab the woman with a knife, but failed. The woman, and another started running, but Anette knew neither could escape her, as running was her specialty. Before Anette had taken two steps she found she couldn't move. That did not make her happy at all.
Ryan's eyes widened when a man approached, and tried to stab Aylina. She quickly ran after Aylina, easily keeping up. Ryan didn't know how, or why, but she felt the presence of one following them. Must stop them... she thought frantically. Suddenly everyone in the city but Aylina, and her were frozen. Ryan almost collapsed from exhaustion, but she felt as if energy were flowing into her from another source. Did I used to know how to do this? she wondered. Did I really have this insane power? Ryan knew she couldn't hold the entire city like this long, not even with energy that wasn't hers flowing into her. She quickly caught up to Aylina again, and followed her to the gate.
Ancell flinched under the ancient rider's stare. "Birds of a feather flock together." the older man said gruffly. "You already have enough bad manners for two delivery boy! With your friend that makes enough bad manners for four." Ancell smiled apologetically at Servix, hoping the glance would tell him not to be offended. "Master Chafir, on the behalf of my sister, I ask you to make Servix' weapons." Ancell said. Chafir gave them both an evaluating look. "I do not approve of begging in men, Ancell." he told the shape shifter. Ancell smiled, and looked at Servix. "That means he'll make them. What type of throwing weapons do you want?" Ancell asked Servix.

Re: Restoring One's Honor
Aylina ran with almost the speed and even more-so the grace of an Elf. She continued running frantically, her gaze averted as she passed by an old man who seemed to be frozen. She knew someone had been following them, but the light sound of their footsteps had faded almost as soon as it had started. Risking it, Aylina sharply turned, gasping afterwards. Everyone in the city had been stopped in their tracks, even the children. The image itself was startling. Glancing at Ryan as she ran past her, she realized that her friend was quite exhausted. Tilting her head in suspicion, she shrugged it off for now and continued running, reaching Olivia by the gate quickly. Aylina gracefully leaped into the air, landing on Olivia and waited for Ryan to get on as well. Olivia began running at a pace that could easily outstrip a horse immediately. "I am so sorry," Aylina apologized to Ryan. "I didn't realize that I had made any enemies in this land, and I don't ever remember doing so. I had never met that man either," she said, still trying to piece this together. "Anyway, what did you do back there?"
Olivia continued running with a quick and even pace, moving south, away from the port city.
Traven groaned and tried to pull himself up, but felt himself stop in his tracks in the process. What the hell? he questioned angrily. Not only had the Ayleid caught him off guard, but he could now only sit and watch as the pair ran, leaving the city. He had missed a perfect chance to capture the final Ayleid. He would never forgive himself for this failure.
Gil sat in the midst of the trees, watching the city carefully, when a small movement flickered near the southern border of the city. Two people were on top of a...Wolf? The animal itself was as great as, if not larger than the size of a horse. He squinted, and with the powerful vision of an Ayleid, he could make out a pair of white eyes on the woman in front. He slammed his hand into the ground, frustrated. Undoubtedly, Traven had failed. Gil made a mental note of where the trio were headed, which was south.
Servix watched the ordeal with a hesitant expression, watching as the man nearly went off on Ancell. However, at the shape shifter's words, Servix eagerly replied, "Daggers, please," he said in a more polite manner. "How much will they cost?" he queried, desiring to hear the typical price of the smith that Ancell's sister managed to haggle.
