But thats probably just a given lol I didn't like Raki in the show, he's useless! In the manga at least he tries to do stuff!! My favorite characters is Miria, and Galatea.

I kinda watched and read at the same time. The ending was ... I don't want to say disappointing, but I don't wasn't to say it was awesome. It ruined itself from continuing on with the story! But it still was a nice ending

I loved this show, it is infact very sad however (I think I cried roughly..4 times or so.. in the first two disks.. x.x;; lol I was taken quite by surprise by that fact..) Clare is awesome, Teresa aswell, and Irene.. and Priscilla (as a villian atleast, she's rather sad, I felt bad for her) and Jean.. lol

Be warned there is gore and loss of limbs, and people being eaten. if you can handle that, watch it! its great! lol.. *is watching it now, for about the third time through* if nothing else I'd watch it just for the animation o.o everything is so.. pretty (okay the yoma aren't pretty.. XD usually)

I do agree that it is beautifully animated. Seriously, Raki is only there for possible love interest and "moral support." At least in the manga, he kills things!

I identify with people with really bad pasts, who don't have anyone, and so on. so as Claymore is full of those characters and there is alot in the way of loss I connect with things well.

I agree, he actually helps Clare alot of times over the course of the story. in several different ways too. he is far from useless XD and I never considered him at all annoying.. lol the "Thats a nice name.." comment in the dub was a bit..erm......... lol he tries too hard

The Black Cards are carried by Claymores so that when they lose control of their Yoma powers and begin to Awaken someone they trust/have a bond with will be there to end their lives before they entirely lose control and start killing people.

it's not disappointing like "wow this is really stupid, they screwed it up horribly" it's more like "wow... i wish i had creative control because I personally have odd ideas of how things should end"

lol the thing is the ending can't really be considered the ending, as the manga is alot longer (I don't remember if its still going or not) who knows maybe there will be a second season.
