Hair: She has long, dark brown hair that reaches past her shoulders.

Eyes: Jayde's eyes are slitted and flame-colored, like dragon eyes.

Body: Um, she’s 5’5” and willowy. She not exactly a big person.

Home village: Outskirts of Du Weldenvarden

Parents: Flora, mother. Orion, father. Both deceased. Flora was a green dragon that transformed herself into a human because she loved Orion so much. Flora was a wild dragon.

Siblings: none

General personality: Her personality is like an “I take no kind of nonsense” attitude. She hates talking to people who ask her a million questions, even though she is very curious herself. Jayde loves to say confusing things, especially when she is talking to someone she dislikes. She is constantly poking around for information, and is very persistant when she wants to find out something.

She has a temper that can go off at very unexpected places, and gets offended very easily. Jayde has a sarcastic sense of humor. She also isn’t very responsible and is sometimes absent-minded. Jayde is constantly forgetting where she puts things, and usually runs around everywhere to try and locate it. She is also very messy, and can never keep anything organized.

In battle, she has an attitude of “shoot first, ask questions later.” Jayde is very ferocious and can work herself into a rage. She is ruthless and considers running away from any battle cowardly. Whenever she gets into a fight/battle, she never stops attacking until everyone who is opposing her is incapacitated (in the cases of a fight between her and some idiot who was stupid enough to pick a fight with her) or dead. She is quite content with stabbing people in the back (figuratively and literally) and makes a very dangerous enemy.

History: Jayde was born on the borders of Du Weldenvarden. She lived with her parents until she was eight, when they were killed by soldiers. She hid herself and the soldiers never found her. Jayde wandered throught the forest for the next three years until she was ten.

She met up with the elves who realized she was no threat, and took her in. She learned the ancient language, and how to use magic. It was also at that time that Jayde realized her mother was not human, but in fact a dragon who transformed herself into a human.

Bored with living in the forest, at the age of 12, she left the elves and travelled throughout Alagaesia, meeting Evan, her friend, along the way. After hearing about the riders, she decided to travel to Doru Areaba and see the ruins there. Jayde and Evan stole a ship from Tierm, and sailed it away.

Upon arriving at Doru Areaba, she could see something gleaming. Jayde went to investigate, and found that it was a dragon egg. Thus Jayde became a dragon rider. Once Sage hatched, they set sail again and headed south. During this long trip, Jayde realized once Sage was fully grown, she could get revenge for her parents death...

Good personality traits: She is very curious, which could also be considered a bad trait. She is determined and will do whatever it takes to get things done. She can be nice from time to time, and once she forms a friendship, she is willing to do anything for that person.

Bad personality traits: She is very curious, and asks way too many questions. She has a very touchy temper and can get offended very, very easily. Jayde also has a “shoot first ask questions later” type of attitude and is absent-minded. She also has a horrible short-term memory and can never really remember where she puts anything.

Weapons: In dragon form: her claws and talons. They are as hard as dragon claws, and wickedly sharp. They can tear through almost anything. Also, she can breathe fire (weird? Yeah, I know) for a short time. She can work magic, and control fire.

In human form: Jayde does not use a sword. Instead, she usually uses a bow, unless she is in one-on-one, or very close combat, in which she uses two short blades. (sort of like really long knives) She also uses a whip, mainly to disarm someone. Jayde sometimes uses it in combat.

Likes: She loves dragons (obviously!) and anything to do with magic. She also loves to explore everything and solve all types of puzzles. She loves flying in the sky because it makes her feel free.

Dislikes: Both water and diamonds negate her all her powers, and she has a strange fear of spiders. She also cannot fully control her power with fire, and ends up burning nearby objects when she is angry. Jayde also hates the cold. She is not very cold-tolerant, and can die if it is below freezing. (You know, sort of like reptiles.)

So basically, she doesn’t like water, spiders, and cold places.
Animal Companions: Saylar, a peregrine falcon, and her dragon, Sage.

Physical Description: She wears a sleaveless shirt (which is a reddish-brown color) , with slits in the back so they don't get in the way of her wings. She also wears pants that end at the knees, and nothing on her feet, because she has talons.

Her face looks like an elf’s, yet her ears are rounded. Her eyes are like dragons, (of course!) and she has shoulder length brown hair. She is tall for her age, and has a strong, muscular body.(She still isn’t that big, and can also get pinned to something easily) Jayde also has teeth that are pointed. (like a shades)

When she is in dragon form, she has a pair of large dragon-like wings that are good for a short flight. She also has clawed hands and feet. The scales are flame-colored, and are all over her body, even the side of her face. Her legs are oddly jointed, they are sort of like a dog’s. (If you get what I mean. If not, I don’t know how to explain it.) She also has a long dragon tail.

When she is in human form, she looks like a human, except for her hands, which are clawed and have scales.

Dreams for the future: To avenge her parents deaths, and restore the race of dragons.

Reason for dreams: She was orphaned at eight years old, and she is a dragon herself. Need I say more?

Skills: She is able to control fire, which doesn’t take any energy. Jayde has all the strength, speed, and flexibility of an elf, and is very powerful in magic.

gender: female

Parents: Auira, mother. Gyndor, father. Both were killed by Galbatorix.

Dragon's history: Her parents, both dragons of riders, were living in Doru Areaba. Her mother, Auira, had laid only one egg, and gave it to the riders. She loved the egg very much, because it was the only one she had ever laid, and was never far from it. When Galbatorix attacked Doru Areaba, she hid the egg to a place where he would never find, because she didn’t want her only child to fall into the hands of a evil man.

Auira, and her mate Gyndor, fought against Galbatorix furiously to protect their riders, and their only egg, but they both were killed by Morzan. However, Galbatorix never found Sage’s egg, for he was too occupied in fighting Vrael. All the riders, were gone, and Sage’s egg was left alone for a very long time. When Jaydewyng, and her friend Evan came along, she felt that Jayde was the perfect rider for her, and finally hatched, ready to take her revenge.

Dragon's personality: Sage is just like a little kid. She is extremely curious, (like her rider) and sticks her nose into everything. She plays with everything she comes across, and can spend hours at a time daydreaming. When she learned how to breathe fire, she was very proud of her skill. She now is constantly setting things on fire, and often gets in trouble for burning someone elses belongings.

Sage is very sweet-tempered, unlike Jayde. She is also very kind and caring, and can be easily persuaded to do something. She is very trusting towards strangers, unless she senses the will do no good. Still Jayde is constantly being annoyed by her somewhat silly antics. Sage loves having fun (who wouldn’t), goofing around, taking everything around her with a humorous air, and is extremely talented and solve riddles, puzzles, and other enigmas.

In battle, though, she is very different. She is very fierce and will give no quarter. She usually thinks before she attacks, unless she is in a rage. Sage will protect those she holds dear with her life. She can be a bit too honorable in a few occasions, but if something really depends on it, she will cheat, steal, whatever she likes. Sage is very protective, (not to mention responsible) and will even break a vow if the occasion needs it. Like Jayde, she will bow to no one and considers herself her own ruler.

How they met: Sage’s egg was hidden in the ruins of Doru Araeba. It was never found, until Jayde and Evan sailed to the island and saw something glowing.

appearance: Sage is quite small for a dragon. She has a long, slender snout with pointed nostrils, sweeping eyebrows, and horns. Her neck is long, and so are her limbs. She has no spines, or horns on her tail, but wickedly sharp fangs and talons. Her tail, like the rest of her body, is very long. She has a golden hide that sparkles in the sunlight, and vast wings twice as long as her body.

Armor: none, unless you count scales.

Dreams for the future: same as Jayde’s

Reasons: same as Jayde’s also. (see they are similar. In a way.)

Dragon's skills: She is one of the most skilled dragons in the sky. She is very quick and fast, and can fly circles around her enemies. She also can dive down perpendicular to the ground (like a peregrine falcon) at extreme speeds. Another talent is obviously breathing fire. Jayde thinks Sage also can use magic consciously, but Sage won’t talk about that subject.

Dragon's weaknesses/fears: Sage has a mortal fear of dark, deserted places. Sage is also not the strongest dragon, so she can easily get pinned to the ground by something bigger than her. Like Jayde, she also hates the cold.
