Laurina had been traveling all night. As usual headed no where fast. When the moon rose and sprayed a pale green light over the earth she couldn't help but smile. She walked for awhile longer enjoying the warm night and cool breeze. She reached a cleared that felt safe and climbed a tree to sleep for the night. She lay out on a thick branch and watched the stars until she drifted to sleep. She woke to the sound of someone walking beneath her. Startled she turned over quickly to reach for her dagger before remembering she was in a tree. She fell to the ground with a thud, leaves falling around her.
"Blast!" she yelled and as if the tree were taunting her, her bow fell on her head. She glared up at it as if it could see her eyes. Then she remembered what had woken her. She stood up quickly and grabbed the sheath of her dagger staring at the stranger.

OOC: here we go, first RP post on SF... Am I really that slow to post?

IC: Melded with the shadows of the trees, Zathar moved among the trees in this great forest, marveling at the sheer size of the trees and the life that is contained within them. Zathar commonly roamed the lands he was in at night, the time when the land slept and the shadows gave him his unique form of transportation. A clearing was coming up forcing Zathar to go around the hole in the tree canopy where the moonlight spilled though. Something fell from the tree and landed on him as he was passing by, it hadn't harmed him and what ever it was that landed on him wouldn't see his faint out line against the forest floor, but, curiosity triggered, he turned back to see just what had fallen from these great trees

Laurina watched as the person she had stumbled upon grabbed her sword and yelled the normal threats. But someone else fell into the clearing, distracting the stranger. She smiled and took advantage of the distraction, scurrying up the tree quickly with her bow to get her things before she ran off. Unfortunately her bag had flown open when she fell and everything was laying out over branches of the tree. She cursed under her breath and held onto the branch with her legs as she reached out and gathered her few things up, stuffing them in her bag.

Elfrida grinned at Mari as she slowly got to her feet. "The trees don't seem to like me." she said. Elfrida rubbed at a bruise starting to form. "The trees seem alive today." she muttered. Elfrida looked at the human picking up her belongings, and walked over. "I am Elfrida." she said. "Do you need any help?"

Laurina tucked her belongings in her sachel and flipped back right side up. The two strangers came back to the tree and she crouched low on the branch glaring at them. When they finished speaking her glare intensified. "You ask a lotta questions people."
I don't have to tell them anything. It's my right as a human to talk or not talk as I see fit. Nosy people. I can't stand them. Always trying to make things their business they have no part in.

Elfrida bowed her head slightly, and raised it again. She walked off towards the tree that had tripped her. The branch was now three feet above her head level. "Evil tree!" she muttered. Elfrida pointed at the branch, and smiled as it disintegrated into nothing. "That should teach you not to mess with me!" she said to the tree.

OOC: all I could think up

Laurina continued glaring down at the questioner. "I doubt you own this place lady, and I did not fall on you. So there is no reason for me to tell you what my name is, nor anything about me." She said with a lot of attitude in her voice as she grabbed her bag and jumped down off the low branch. Her legs did what she wanted them to this time and so she landed as gracefully as any elf would.

Elfrida suddenly felt a since of need coming from the direction of the Hadarac desert. She walked up to Mari, and said, "I have to leave. I am needed urgently in the desert." Elfrida changed to cat form and started her journey to the desert

OOC: sorry I'm gonna be gone all week, leaving tomorrow @ 4:00 am.
