oh, no, i meant 10 pgs. per chapter.......believe me, cuz i wrote a book shorter than this so far, and it equalled 97 pages in manuscript form. so this (when its finished) should equal around 150 pages in manuscript form, which rly isnt alot, but should be enough for 10 yr. olds.....lol.

What size font and margins do you use? I usually use 12 pt. and 1 in. margins.

Actually, SJ, I disagree in this situation with Silverwolf. Based on the facts we have, you are writing what is popularly called a novella, which is perfectly acceptable. 150 pages or fewer is the traditional size for such a story, so you don't need to draw it out too much. Just make sure that you DO add descriptions when you revise.

The Old Man and the Sea is a novella, but it is one of the classics of literature. And believe me, if any story had childish language, this book is it. But what it lacked in scholarly writing, it made up for in depth and symbolism. So...that's just a little nugget of encouragement for you.

Here's another thought: do you HAVE to have "Dragon" in the title of your story? I know I suggested Dragonwar, but maybe there're other options. Like what I mentioned before--D.E.I: Rebirth. That doesn't have Dragon in it, but it is applicable.

That was just an example from the top of my head. I didn't really request him to use that, it was just an example of a title that doesn't have dragon in it, but is applicable to the story. The Count of Monte Cristo sounds like a boring book, but it's applicable (and it's my all-time favorite classic).

My life has been more hectic than I would like. It's been school, then work, then piano, then youth group, then Awana, etc. I hardly have any time to write. However, I was able to cram in some writing time today and updated my fic.

Time is something that I can relate with. I'm just so busy that I hardly have time to write, and when I do, I write fast and errors pop up. It is because of this that my last two chapters of my fic weren't as highly rated as the previous ones.

yeah, and i'm really trying to be careful and not do this part too fast, i'm actually trying to get some good description for this war part.....but it's hard, and i don't want to skip anything......
