The lady speaks the truth. It was depressing because of all the things that happened, the hopelessness of the characters, the futility of their violent ends. But the story itself was quite well done. And the fact that it's all true, in general.

In my opinion, the depressing films tend to be the best, most moving ones. Happy endings never really leave me satisfied. You rarely go to bed the same night thinking and feeling deeply about a film that all works out in the end.
V for Vendetta- 9/10
Never seen it before, it was on TV the other night, and I missed the first 15 minutes or so, but I thought it was very good, very political.

Oh, I love that movie! I don't really care for the second one, though.
Troy~8/10 It was a really good movie, but the ending made me mad.

I like both xD Will Smith owns.
What about it didn't you like?
Ratatouille- 9/10 Anyone can cook, even a rat. =) Cute movie.
Pink Panther 2 - 8/10 I was expecting it to be horrible, and it exceeded expectations. The scene with the pope was memorable. xD It was worth wasting an hour and a half on. Steve Martin's still gold.

Taken - 8/10 it was a great movie that you could watch a few times but i don't consider it timeless where i could watch it over and over and over again.
Fast and The Furious - Tokyo Drift - 9/10 as much as this movie was hated and certain cheesy aspects, i could watch it over and over again. I like cars, what can i say.
V for Vendetta - 10/10 Wow. deep. You have to watch it a few times to get the full wind knocked out of you and some of the parallels that are embedded in the screenplay and script.
Count of Monte Cristo - 10/10 Timeless. Triple backstabbing, Life is so like this even if it isn't this drastic. "Kings to you..."

Re: Last movie you watched and rating
Yeah, I just watched V for Vendetta as well and I agree. I got the feeling I missed a lot of the background because I was paying attention to V. Like his history and why he's important. I didn't fully get that on the first time through. The complete manipulation of the news outlets by the government was darkly amusing, because I can see that happening. Anyway, recommended as well.
I've been trying to watch all of Clint Eastwood's directed films. I watched Changeling yesterday, and I enjoyed the film quite a bit. I looked up the events they wrote the film about, and discovered that it isn't based on a true story-it is a true story. Besides some combining of characters, just about everything that happened actually did happen. And it's not a boring picture, at least in my opinion. Also recommended.

lol It's Lady in the Water, animal_auntie.
Anyway: Mission to Mars: 9/10. Great sci-fi movie. It has a lot of drama, and some very intriguing plotlines. I love the ending, especially. It's a bit long, but I don't care about that. lol and Gary Sinise is a really good actor.
WALL-E: 8/10. This doesn't make sense, but I didn't like the movie, but it was really good. Or something along those lines. There were some really hilarious parts, but I thought the entire movie was extremely sad. (I'm very pro-environment, so if you've seen the movie, you'll understand why I was sad the whole time.) That's why I didn't like it, because I knew it was gonna make me really sad, but I watched it anyway. I rate it so high because it envoked emotions so strongly, despite being animated and for kids. lol
Slumdog Millionaire: 10/10. I can see why this was Best Picture. I love this movie! It's amazing, and it has an awesome storyline, very original. It's especially new compared to what I like to see. Great movie, the whole way through, and a great ending. I recommend it.
i think that once people enter high school and see that its all about the "clicks" and who's in and who's not, marks the begining of the change. then when they begin to branch out and get new friends, some of those new friends begin to work on them. meaning that they begin to tell them that the group they were friends with back in elementary school arent really part of the "in crowd." after a while you drift apart or sometimes you fight over the stupidest things.
i understand about having other people work on you while in high school. i have a friend back home that had i been willling to turn my back on him, i would have been part of the "in" crowd. i chose not to turn my back on him. and to this day, even though we both now live in different states, we still remain friends.
mainly what i am trying to say is that sometimes for no reason what so ever people just drift apart. and as sad and as painfull as that may be, sometimes God has other people He's waiting to introduce you too. my advice is this : talk to your group of friends and find out what is going on with them. if they dont want to talk to you or hang out any longer, then its thier loss. be ready for the major blessings God has in store for you.

The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly 9/10 I'm not much of a western fan, but this is a good one if you ever get the urge. It stays away from cliche's. Of course I haven't seen many, so there's a chance I'm talking through my hat. Anyway, a good picture.
Race to Witch Mountain - 8.4/10 It was too short, though the kid reminded me of Peeta ^.^

8 mile- 7/10 The first 'rap biopic', or semi-biopic, that I have watched, and it wasn't too bad. Eminem was pretty good as himself, and the other actors were serviceable. Good music segments, and a heck of a soundtrack.

A little too much violence and creepy scenes, but it had a cool concept overall. The action was really intense though and it kept me interested the entire movie.
