A dark wizard once dominated Alec’s village… sadly, when the people who served and lived in his lands were suddenly exposed to the danger of the outer lands they didn’t last long – and neither did the village.

It got so bad that only Alec’s fathers farm survived when the village ceased to exist – which was good for his father because with the village gone the people who had lived there needed a place to live and too work. His father began selling of parts off his land and within two years his small farm had become a village that was self-sufficient. Eventually this land was captured through wars and it faded into the nothingness from which it had been born.

As such, not even Alec knows where his village once sat.

Character Personality:

Others seldom see Alec’s personality as he and his companion Draco have not been seen for nearly three ages. But when he did trek across the lands all those eons ago he was known as – what few can recall – the dull wanderer. His torn cloak and what seems like a rusty sword hilt have passed into legend and has given many the illusion that he cannot fight. They are wrong; Alec’s willingness to protect the innocent surprises even him sometimes.

He is a quiet… being and the fact that he relies more on his words – which hold far more power then his magic ever could – has also earned him the name The White Whisperer in other legends. But to himself, and Draco he is always Alec.

Character History:

Alec is a tall and stern former-human with a long and drawn out history, Alec’s mother and father were kind and loving people and because their family was poor they often went to the Wizards tower to do laundry and any chore that the Dark Lord would have for them, over time the Wizard fell in love with Alec’s mother and tried to use his wealth and power to seduce her, unfortunately for him Alec’s mother loved his father much to much.

A few years later Alec’s mother gave birth to her first born, a boy, namely Alec, the Wizard was so jealous and infuriated that the woman would refuse him that he stole the child, killed the mother and turned Alec’s father into a small bird that he locked inside a cage and brought with him back to the castle.

Unfortunately for Alec the wizard forced him to touch a dragon egg – in fact he made him touch twelve eggs until he came too one of the wizards stunted lizards. The wizard had used his magic to destroy the newborn dragons minds while they were still in the egg and he made it so that they couldn’t grow.

But to the wizards surprise the dragon – or Draco as Alec named him – refused to leave his new friend. Even when the wizards own dragon tried to hurt him the dragon, stupid and tiny due to the magic, refused to be taken from Alec… and so it was that the wizard gave up tampering with the bond the two had forged and began training Alec as his apprentice.

For years Alec, his father and the stunted dragon continued to bide their time while the Wizard brought Alec up and taught him to use the powers that he possessed from his diminished bloodline, the Wizard tried to teach Alec in the dark arts but Alec hid his true capabilities from the Wizard until it was to late.

When Alec was 26 he challenged the Wizard. The Dark Master was furious that his ‘apprentice’ would waste his life in a Wizards Duel, but as a Wizard he had no choice but to accept.

When they met on the battlefield the Wizard was shocked when he saw a proud young man astride a huge golden and brown dragon holding a weapon that the Wizard had locked inside his a large closet with his magic. Only someone truly powerful with a bond of true unity between himself and a dragon partner could have recited the magical rights to undo the locks. Alec never could have done that… and yet here the boy was with the Shape Shifters Blade Kalibron, created from ancient magic that had been forged back when Shape Shifters still walked the earth.

It was a short match.

The powers that Alec used against the Wizard were not as powerful as the Dark Lords true enough, but Alec was faster and his usage of magic only in defense so shocked the Wizard that he lost.

When Alec could have made the final blow he lifted his blade and offered the Wizard a chance to start over, a chance to begin anew, the Wizard refused and swung his sword at Alec’s head, Alec parried and used his powers to seal the Wizard inside his Tower, forever.

Taking his father and undoing the transformation Alec used his powers to restore his fathers land and gave him enough seed to become one of the most prominent farmers in the country.

Alec however was not satisfied with his lot in life, he longed to see mountains and to wander the hills, in search of what? He didn’t quite know, but wouldn’t it be interesting finding out.

So, deciding to fulfill this need Alec donned the name of Alec the Impure (due to his faults and being originally from the race of man) left the farm of his father and set off.

Over a period of centuries Alec continued to explore the world. He and Draco became a dragon rider for the very first king – back when this kingdom was but a village. Over the years that he has vanished and reappeared in the nick of time he has always had a dragon, and it has always been named Draco and has always been male.

Perhaps the Draco’s are the same Dragon or perhaps it is an egg left by each Draco that chooses Alec. Whether this is a hibernation trick known only to dragons – or a special magical secret that the original Draco passed down through his offspring is known only to Alec and the dragon(s) that choose him. Whatever the case, be it magic or the longevity of dragons, Alec and Draco eventually vanished into the shadows of nothingness that existed only in the greatest of legends.

Alec re-appeared shortly before the near destruction of most of the elves after many of the dragons were killed. Even after all of these years Alec had not aged outwardly. The powers he had used had turned him into an immortal – which caused him no end of pain physically and emotionally. He was still a wanderer, a dragon friend and a speaker to elves, Alec used to keep to himself but with the change that has come to these lands he has chosen to take a more active role and is currently seeking the location of Draco who has yet to wake up or hatch – it depends on which legend is true - and the Elves... he knows that he must find the elves… everything depends on them and the uneasy alliance between them, the humans and the dwarves.

Weapons: The Shape Shifters Blade - Kalibron

Likes: Peace, Alec has not tasted it except for the space between the eons in between time in which he slept and the womb from which he was born.

Belongings: He owns little besides his sword, the clothes on his back – and a battered staff that he leans on – he has had it since he began his travels and uses it for little more then a stick to aid in his walking.

Dislikes: Alec is a warrior and a Wizard – but not by choice, the wars he has fought in and the magic he now uses where forced upon him… death is the only thing left that calls to him – and the only thing that will relieve him of the pain of living in a body that feels like it is being stretched like butter over too much bread.

Character's Physical Description: Alec carries himself like an elderly men – but those who know him have come to see him as a young thirty two year old man with crazy brown hair and sharp blue eyes.

Dreams for the Future: Peace and death, Alec is old beyond count and has longed for the peace of death that has yet too claim him. Until that time comes he fears he will never feel the peace – the lasting peace – that has evaded him for so long.

Alignment/side: Alec and Draco serve those who need them. They do not serve the elves, the dwarves or any kingdoms. As the legends of old foretold, Alec serves those who need him the most when the need is greatest.

History: Draco’s past is shrouded in secrecy; he was one of the stunted training stock raised by the dark wizard that took Alec as his apprentice. To the wizards surprise Draco – even with his mind as damaged as it was – sensed something in Alec that no person or dragon had ever sensed before: A power of character that called to him through his mind and damaged body.

And so Draco, his new partner and Alec’s father conspired in secret to find a way to escape the dark tower they were locked in. Sixteen times they tried to leave and each time Alec was beaten and Draco trapped away from his partner and the longer he was away from Alec the less he moved. In fact the wizard discovered that due to the magic that Alec had been using to restore Draco’s mind and powers the stronger the bond between them.

Eventually the bond between the two became so strong that if both were separated for too long both would go into a form of hibernation that seemed to create a sort of sleeping death. This led to Draco sharing a magic with Alec that even the greatest of dragons had never attempted: A life bond that would raise Alec’s powers high enough, soon enough, that the wizard would be unable to sense the change in time. There was a cost however, Alec’s body was rendered eternal – to put it simply he would be unable to die or age for that matter – he could be killed but he wouldn’t die of normal causes.

Since the bond affected the both of them Draco was effected to, the stunt on his growth was broken, his mind repaired and the armor that Alec had read about but never seen finally grew in to create the protection that Draco needed.

In the end the ploy worked and the two overthrew the wizard. After Alec’s father was set free the two journeyed so far that even Alec can’t remember where they went.

Eventually Alec entered hibernation and that’s where the legends become obscure. Some say that Draco went to the other side of their land and awaits Alec’s touch to reawaken. And still some say that Alec released Draco from the bond and allowed Draco to go his own way and that Draco promised his offspring would always be there to fight by his side. Whatever the truth is, now that Alec is awake, Draco will not be long behind him.

Personality:
Draco takes a far greater joy from life then Alec, mostly because the eternal state that was forced upon his partner is not a normal state for humans and living in that state is stretching Alec’s spirit as it its stretching his life expectancy.

Draco (ever since he was born as a stunted lizard) had a wisdom that surpassed even the greatest and wisest of his once great people. That wasn’t much to say when he was young but once Alec restored him to the life he deserved Draco was truly seen for the kind and wise creature he is.

One of the things that Draco loves the most is poetry, one time when he was seen by some villagers – who decided to offer up a human sacrifice instead of listening to Alec – a young woman was brought out to ‘appease’ him. Draco spent the better part of an afternoon telling the girl poetry while Alec led the villagers on a wild goose chase looking for the supposedly bloated dragon.

Draco claims to have met the better poets of the lands history – in fact he claims to have influenced much of they’re writings; Whether this is true or not Draco has a talent for telling wonderful stories – if he trusts you enough to tell you them.

Color: Brown and Gold

Appearance:
From the tip of his long tail to the point of his smooth nose, what isn’t his golden armor is his brown leathery skin. The only part of him that isn’t brown or gold is his sharp blue eyes. A trait he seems to have picked up from Alec when he hatched. The magical happening of Alec’s eyes becoming his almost never happens – except for when a Dragon has found the only person he or she is ever meant to be joined with. That there is no mistake and that despite all happenstance to prevent it the two have met and will remain together for the rest of they’re lives.

Armour: Nothing but the armor of all dragons – Draco relies as much on his speed as his strength and will do nothing to hinder his fighting speed.

Dreams for future:
Draco dreams of little more then the restoration of his people, like all dragons he is wise and very powerful. But like Alec he does nothing to let enemy, human, elf or dwarf suspect this – which is, as Draco has pointed out, very clever. If your enemy underestimates you then you have no chance of underestimating them
