ok- just wondering if anyone's good at this? And I mean really good at designing and making stuff- woodwork, metal work, mechanics, stuff like that. The thing is, in technology, we're meant to be making mechanical toys. It was a kind of lucky dip where you pick out a bag of odd bits of wood and cogs and stuff, and that's what you're allowed to use. The thing is, I just had to go and pick out the bag with cams in it. Now if you are actually good at design technology, you will know what cams are, so I can't be bothered to explain. Anyway- I'm normally good at this sort of stuff, but the thing is I'm now completely stumped. I now have only a few hours and a little bag of crud to make a working, moving mechanical toy including cams. I was thinking of something like that one with the pecking chickens:


But I don't have a lot of time or materials. I need help! Please!

laser? Cool lol I used um- a scroll saw. I want a laser!

people were refusing to lift the lid of the machine incase they got "lasered"

lol My friend once broke the blade on the scroll saw and never went near it again! I broke the blade last week- oops And I was using the automatic sander today and sanded my fingers accidentally! It hurt...

nope. Just wood And some cams. Actually, I have a bit of dowelling too.
