...but that's my opinon .. besides, she is 100 years old. so i don't think the actress needs to be too young. she would have too much inosence. arya is an experianced warrior. . not a 10th. grade cheerleader

the actress should have the same age as eragon, black hair, be exotic and all that, but what they did is distroying the hole film( and i'm not refering only to arya). this angers me a lot

i thought it was her 20's. oh well. yeah she is ok and i am missing the black hair but really it's ok with me. she's not exactly like how arya is described but i just hope sienna acts the part and that is what matters most. still they could have gotten someone different or she could have at least died her hair black for the part...*sigh* oh well.

Aryas totaly wrong she needs black hair, pointy ears, a bow (can you belive they actualy forgot her bow), a shirt that covers her shoulder with the tatto on it and some other stuff.

It's because they didn't want to pull an arwen from LOTR. It would make her like that and stuff. But those are just pictures and not the final cut so who knows.

I want to show you guys something that I said in another forum board...about Sienna as Arya. People were just bashing her right and left and saying other actresses would be better. This is what I said because people were kind getting on my nerves....just a bit....and after they read my post everybody started agreeing with me. Just thought I might share this here...and here it is...and no I am not being mean or anything so don't get the wrong idea...just what I said...

OK there is a reason why Sienna got picked to play Arya. In the auditions she beat out over 2,000 other girls, so I think that's saying something. Some of these other actress's that you guys are mentioning I have never heard of, like Kirstanna Loken. What are these super models or something. Kierra Knightly would be good, yes, but she hasn't been in the industry long and I am not sure she would have picked the role, let alone been good at portraying her. I just don't think you guys are giving Sienna Guillory enough credit really. I have seen some of the movies and things that she has been in and she is really good. She is a great actress and has experience in this field. Yes, they could have chosen another gal to play Arya but, do you see why they chose Sienna. Of course she is not going to look exactly like Arya, no one is, but she is beautiful, and I know that she'll play the part well and the best that she can. That's all we've got to be asking here is that she knows the character and knows her role...and that's all she's got to give. Beating out 2,000 other girls is not easy and there are so many reasons why they chose her for the part. I think, for me, they made a good choice with her, and all the other actors and actress's as well. We just have to wait and see til the movie comes out.

I agree with lilith Varden, you are totally right. Why is very bashing Sienna Guillory. It's not her fault that fox chose an inexperienced director and crappy script writer. but the actors have no say in that.

I think sienna was awesome, personally i didn't like the way arya was portrayed in the movie but sienna did a good job. for all those who think she wasn't a good pick, i have to disagree.

eragon in eldest said he thought arya was in her early twenties: when i saw sienna (arya) in the trailer for eragon i thought she was in her early/mid twenties.

we all know that arya can fight in the books: sienna did resident evil. thats definitely an action packed movie.

arya can ride a horse: sienna was on riders (british tv series where riding a horse is essential)

arya is beautiful and graceful: sienna was a model and she definite has an elegance about her.

As for the costume, hair and ears. that was the costume designers, makeup and director's fault. sure arya would have look 10 times better if they had followed the book, but either way i still think sienna was a good pick - if you dyed her hair, give her pointy ears and she were wearing leather pants and shirt as in the book - im sure you would all agree too.

Yeah, the actoress who played arya played her role exacly as the screen writers wrote it. She played it good aswell.

I guess the blond hair was the direstor's inspiration because I have seen her with black kair in Resident Evil
Now, as for not having pointy ears, the director has admitted it was his idea because he says he didn't want to follow the cliche

Arya from the movie: Sienna did a great job, but she did need black hair and pointy ears. I mean, come on. That's just the basics.
