 Silence may save your lifeOOC: I know I have like a whole bunch of these in this place but we need to get another topic up and running. This is for all beginners or more experienced rpers. Basically who ever wants to join.
IC: Night surrounded them in a shrouded cloud, and no sounds came. None at all. It was cold enough to kill, and nothing was visible. Everything was gone. Leaving only the evil that lurked to keep Reb company as she walked through the forrest, trying to regulate her body temperature to normal. The elven queen had sent her on another quest to proove her worth, but this time she sent Reb to a place, no normal beings should have to go, at least not willingly, and since Reb wasn't there willingly, then it didn't matter. A twig snapped, sounding loud in the quietness. Reb whirled around, pulling out her dagger. Cobalt was lost to her in the mists, and so were her wolves. Star Gazer was up above somewhere and now Reb wished she had company, for sudden heavy breathing rang out through the forrest, making Reb jittery. Which usually never happened. But there was sinister evil here that made her quake if it came too near. Being half shade made no difference where she was, nor did her powers, for she couldn't find the strength to use them as the fog decended and seemingly sucked her powers out of her. She had no idea where she was and had the feeling that something was specifically there to kill her. Those thoughts had to wait, Reb was missing something, something that was out of her grasp. She thought she must have been drugged, for she had fallen asleep after getting this mission and woken up in the horrid forrest. And now things were shrouded in shadows, but Reb had the feeling she was in a normal forrest and her eye sight was what was wrong. But there was no way to purge the drug out of her system to help her get her bearings. She wanted gone, but had no escape, and she had to proove that she could survive anything the queen threw at her, and right now surviving would be a challenge. Reb didn't know what this place was called, but she knew it wasn't something pleasant, and she now knew she wasn't alone as another twig snapped, and a hand fell on to her shoulder.............. |

Re: Silence may save your life Eriel turned her friend around with a sigh of relief, she sighed softly and looked around. The fog was getting thick, and even her eyes couldn't make out much. "What're you doing here?" Reb asked.
Eriel was taken aback. She could almost swear she heard fear, if only a little, in her voice. "I err... Followed you after they, or rather, I drugged you." She winced as Reb flashed her a dangerous glance. "Not because I wanted to, I was forced to, and besides, I jabbed you in your wrist, the easiest part to remove a drug, although, you may have been drugged again." Eriel sighed. "The forest is powerful, it has an aura to it that makes one afraid. I'm no exception, and the elves that were sent to put you here turned on me after a few minutes here." Eriel paused and looked around, as if the forest might have ears. "This forest is evil, it turns friend against friend, ally against ally. Its already affecting you."  IC: Dragonfly had somehow come across a strange forest, full of mist and strange feelings. Why is it that whenever I travel, I end up in the strangest of places? Dragon thought to herself. Both Ben and Nicko were taking a break and not travelling with her. Now, she didn't know if she liked it-it wasn't the forest, it was the feeling of being all alone. Until she smelled two people up ahead. She was very curious. Other times she had teleported to this exact forest, and no living thing was there. At least, she amended, There's water here. Dragon had to make contact with these people. She was too lonely. But its better if they think I'm human, Dragon thought, pulling on her blue coat to completely conceal her gossamer wings. Then, she climbed up the nearest trees, following the scent of people. Dragonfly sensed there was something strange and magical about this forest, but as always, it didn't affect her. Due to her light weight and rudimentary tree-climbing abilities, she was able to get right above the two people with out them noticing her. Dragon leaned down, trying to get a closer look when she slipped off the branch and fell to the ground. Right between the two people. It was a short fall, but it still hurt as Dragon made a dull thud on the ground. "Ouch," she said, rolling over. Luckily none of her arrows were broken. Unfortunately, certain bones were. She rolled over, and found herself staring into two pairs of unfriendly eyes. "Um, hi?" Dragon said. _________________  Bad wolf Bad wolf Bad wolf Bad wolf... |

Re: Silence may save your life Reb shook herself. "Sorry Eriel. Bad vibes." Reb said and then watched a girl fall from a tree. "Are you alrigt?" Reb asked as she kneeled by the girl and held out her hand to her.
Star Gazer tried to spot Reb from the sky, but to no avail. And she wasn't going to land and risk getting lost. Cobalt snorted angrily as Shedo walked in a circle trying to get Reb's scent, Leth doing the same. He was tired, cold, and he missed Beauty terribly. To top that off, he had a temper tantrum and the wolves weren't that great of help in finding his girl. |

Re: Silence may save your life Eriel sighed and knelt beside the creature, her initial cold expression giving way to a smile. She quickly mended her bones and pulled her up gently, noticing a slight bulge under her cloak. She just sighed and shrugged it off.

Re: Silence may save your life Fortunately, the two people proved to be nice. One mended her bones and pulled her up. So far, the coat was working perfectly. Neither of them knew that Dragonfly was an Ohnyaeli.
"Hi," she said and held out her hand," and thanks for healing me. I'm Dragonfly. But you can call me Dragon." DRagon looked around at the forest. Something seemed cursed and wrong about the whole place, and it wasn't just the mist that gave it away. She decided not to worry about such unimportant things. "You're an elf?" She said in awe to one of the people. "I've never met one before!!" DRagon was literally hopping with excitement. She smiled at both of them, then cocked her head. Re: Silence may save your life " COBALT!" Reb called and an answering snort sounded and then hooves crashing through underbrush and soon the stallion came into view, flanked by the wolves. She sighed in happyness.
"Yes Eriel is an elf. I'm a shade/elf/human. My name is Reb." Reb said then ran to her wolves and knelt beside them and gave them hugs. "Where is Star Gazer?" Reb asked and a roar sounded from the sky."That answers my initial question." Reb said then stood up and pat Cobalt on the neck. "If any of you want to get out of here fast, Cobalt can carry us all." Reb said wrapping her arms around her horse's neck and inhailing his scent. |

Re: Silence may save your life Dragon listened to both of them and found out their names were Eriel and Reb. Weird. Dragonfly looked at Reb with her deep icy blue eyes.
"What's a shade?" she asked as a huge black horse thundered to a stop right in front of Reb. It was surrounded by wolves. "They're so pretty!" They reminded her of both Nicko and Ben when he was in his wolf form. She wished they were here right now. Of course thats when a black and white furball ran out of the forest and jumped on her. "Nicko!" Dragon laughed and hugged her husky dog. That's when Ben walked out of the forest in his wolf form. Nicko was licking her face and wagging his tail as fast as he could. "Nicko, down." Dragon commanded, but she was just as glad to see the both of them. "You'll find that Nicko can track you from anywhere," Ben said, melting out of his wolf form. "Why'd you come here?" she asked, grinning and hugging the 18-year-old werewolf. "Well, you can't imagine how boring life is without tryin' to save the world." Dragon nodded and pointed to the new people. "Everyone, this is Ben. He's a werewolf. And Ben this is Eriel and Reb. And a horse." _________________ Bad wolf Bad wolf Bad wolf Bad wolf... |

She laughed as he started licking her face, leaving her face partially covered in dog spit. She quickly put him down and turned towards Ben. "A werewolf huh..." She said under her breath and sat down on the grass.

Re: Silence may save your life "Well, I don't know what it is." Dragon said and grinned. Dragon was curious to how they found her in this entire forest when she couldn't tell which way was north.
"We were looking for you, since Nicko has a very good nose. But then we got chased by something strange. I'm not sure this forest will let us out now that we're inside." Ben shook himself off. Luckily, the moon was already waning; there would be no transformation. Dragon looked up suddenly. She sensed a presence overhead; something large....and dragon-like. In fact it was a dragon. "Do any of you know that there's a dragon flying overhead," Dragonfly said, trying to be helpful. But of course, that's when an arrow had to shoot at her. If it wasn't for Dragon's extremely quick reflexes, she would've been speared. The arrow stuck in the tree, still quivering. She stared at it. " If you don't know what a shade is, it would be better if you remained ignorant of the details Reb said then dodged an arrow that had gone after Dragon, using lightening fast reflexes to chop it in half with her blade.
" Why did the elven queen have to be so danged prejudiced. Next time I enter your territory, or get near another elf besides yourself Eriel, I'm frying there butt. Do you know how many times I have had to be subjected to the queen's whims and wishes because of my species?" Reb asked then cut herself off as she examined the shadow flying above them. It dawned on her. " That isn't Star Gazer Eriel. That is all together much to big and she is up there unaware." Reb said then moved to warn her dragon but Star Gazer beat her to it. " Reb! Guess who is here? It is........" |

Re: Silence may save your life Eriel notched her bow and aimed up at the dragon-like creature. "Wyvern!" Eriel shrieked in more fear than she ever had before and fired an arrow at it, wincing as a high-pitched, pain-filled scream pierced the air. Eriel groaned and crouched, her hands over her ears. She saw Reb and Dragonfly doing the same then said. Remind me to kill the captain of those elves who brought you in here. Eriel told Reb quietly. Also, don't hurt Keralin. She said then shot another arrow at it, only to have the creature snap the arrow in half mid-air.

IC: Dragonfly crouched on the ground, covering her ears as the strange wyvern screeched. Nicko and Ben were having a harder time-dog's (and wolves) ears were more sensitive to high-pitched sounds. Dragon was starting to get angry. She shrugged off her blue coat, revealing her large gossamer wings and whipped out her two short blades. The wyvern came down for another pass and Dragon shot into the air, summoning a cloud of dragonflies to blind it. She lunged at its neck, sinking one of the obsidian blades into the tough skin, then drawing it back out again. She teleported out of the way of its teeth, to above him, where she lashed out at his wings. Her other blade sliced its right wing, but did no damage. The wyverns tail swung around and caught her full in the chest, knocking Dragon out of the air. Luckily, there were no trees. Unluckily, the ground was very hard. A couple bones broke, but Dragonfly regenerated quickly, and lunged at the wyvern again. "Will you just die already?!" she yelled. Dragon knew the wyvern was too powerful for her. So, Dragon swooped down so the wyvern had to follow, then swivelled around, and hovered. Her wings were beating very fast. "Come here, you ugly slime-ball!" She yelled. The wyvern screeched and flew toward her. Dragon threw one of her swords with all her might. It entered the wyvern's gaping maw and killed it instantly. The now dead body of the wyvern collapsed to the ground. Unfortunately, Dragon was under it. She hit the ground and got crushed under the huge weight of a dragon carcass. It smelled horrible to Dragon's sensitive nose-and completely crushed the tiny, delicate bones that held her wings together. "Ouch," she whispered, as the pain suddenly caught up with her. _________________ Bad wolf Bad wolf Bad wolf Bad wolf... |

Re: Silence may save your life Kerstov immediately woke up from the horrible screeches of the Wyvern. He looked around and found himself in a thick foggy forest. "This isn't where I last was." he said to himself as he was confused as to what was going on and why here was here. He stood up feeling weak. He started heading towards the direction to where the screams were coming from. He could barely stand at all and was falling over a lot as he continued. He also heard a voice and began to wonder if there was people ahead of him, or he was just hearing voices again. He pulled out a dagger and held it in one hand just incase someone or something tries to attack him.

Re: Silence may save your life Star Gazer roared angrily as the young girl was taken down with the body, but unable to help. Three more were after her and she couldn't go down or up.
She lunged and raked her claw across the neck of one and it's body fell lifelessly to the ground. The other two covered her body with their own and took her to the ground hard, landing perilously close to the body of their companion in which the young girl was trapped under. Tired of this battle and the usless beasts apparantely protecting the skies of the horrid forrest, Star Gazer stepped back and opened her maw, an roar so mighty that it shook all the things within close distance and rattled the beasts' teeth and made them wimper and launch into the sky and not return. Star Gazer turned to the girl, healing her then taking the body off of her. |

Re: Silence may save your life Dragonfly could barely breathe with all the weight that was pushing down on her. It didn't help that her wings were hurting either.
It smells horrible, Dragon thought, not much able to do anything else. She could faintly hear Nicko barking and Ben shouting at her, but she couldn't understand. There was another large thump as something even bigger landed close by. Please don't let it be something that'll eat me. Dragonfly started to panic. Luckily, the huge wieght of the wyvern was removed from her, and her wings were healed. Dragonfly rolled over, and stared up into the face of a huge dark purple dragon. "Um, thanks." she said, still a bit stunned. Dragon picked herself up off the ground and went over to the wyvern carcass trying to pull her blade out. "Come...out!" Dragon yelled, pulling on it. It wouldn't budge. She quickly gave up and turned to the dragon again. "Hi. My name's Dragonfly. Who are you?" Ben and Nicko came up to her, the latter jumping up and knocking her over. "Off, Nicko, " she laughed as he covered her face in slobber. "Ew." She wiped it off. Ben was able to retrieve the blade for her, but it still stank like dead wyvern. _________________ Bad wolf Bad wolf Bad wolf Bad wolf... |

Re: Silence may save your life Kerstov was starting to see figures ahead of him, but he was too weak to continue. He collapsed onto the ground from exhaustion. He tried with the rest of his strength to get up, but was unsuccesfull in doing so. He slowly drew his sword out as he lied on the ground and started hitting it with his knife with the rest of his energy. He was hoping the noise would draw their attention to him and maybe help him.

Re: Silence may save your life " Star Gazer is my name. Reb is my rider." Star Gazer said indicating Reb who was not coming towards them but rather looking behind her.
Reb heard the noise and turned, then gasped as she saw the man. She ran towards him, reaching out with her mind, healing and giving energy. When she made it to his side she slid down on the ground and carefully flipped him over. " Who are you?" She asked loudly, hoping the man could hear her. She knew he was exsausted so she gave him large sums of her own energy, feeding it to him while she sat and waited for him to rise. |

Re: Silence may save your life Eriel looked over her shoulder and ran towards Reb, slowing as she reached the man's side. She looked at her friend with a smile, 'Always trying to help.' She thought to herself then established a link with the man then stopped. Waves of fear started to run through her. Fear of the man being an enemy amplified a hundred fold. She looked at Reb and thought the same. Eriel sighed and forgot about it and started to heal the man, though she never could completely shrug off that fear.

"Hey, thats Kerstov!" Dragon exclaimed, smiled widely. "Nice to see you out of the desert." Nicko came up to him and started slobbering all over him. "Stop it, Nicko, " Ben said softly. Nicko just wagged his tail and kept trying to eat Kerstov's shoes. Dragon sniffed the air. Something weird and strange was coming, and it did not smell like wyvern. Beside her, Ben transformed into a wolf and growled softly. "Why can't people just leave us alone?!" she muttered. _________________ Bad wolf Bad wolf Bad wolf Bad wolf... |

Re: Silence may save your life Kerstov felt energy being forced into him and became more lively due to it. He looked at Reb and said with a smile, "Well, I guess Dragonfly just answered it for you." Then he looked over at Eriel. He asked, "What troubles you? I see enemies that lurk in the darkness in your eyes." He slowly sat up and looked at Eriel waiting for an answer.

Re: Silence may save your life Suddenly Reb felt a searing pain and then she began to sway and then collapsed onto the ground. An arrow firmly lodged in her chest, and with blood tainting the fletchings. " Missed the heart!" Reb said with a loud pain laced voice as she stood and closed her eyes then yanked the arrow out of her chest and grimaced at the pain, but at least it hadn't been in the heart.
Her shade ears picked up the sound of an arrow and she manuvered so fast you could barely see her and sliced the on coming arrow in half and then burned it. Her clothes instantly going to red as her anger grew and she drew her sword. Wierd creatures slunk from the forrest and held bows at the ready, surrounding her an her friends. They were at least two feet taller than Reb, and that made her a little timid considering she was six feet one inch, and then she smelled a rancid fetid breath on her neck and spun around and came face to face with a large one. It grinned at her with broken teeth. " We thought we smelled the presence of evil afoot." It said. " Maybe you smelled yourself." Reb said pinching her nose. " I'm not particullarly evil unless you get on my bad side, Eriel isn't evil, Dragonfly deffinately isn't and her friends don't apear to be and neither is Kerstov." Reb said as she took a step back. " This forrest isn't nice to beings that don't belong here." He-well Reb gathered that it was a he- said. " Thanks for the update, and now tell me why you shot me." She said angrily. " You don't belong." Came a slightly more feminine voice from behind the large greasy man-thing. " Ah, so you shoot everyone who dosen't belong?" Reb asked and fire lit her hands. " No. But we saw you lunge at the man on the ground." The woman said. " I didn't lunge at anyone. I was helping him." Reb said testily. |

"Leave my friend well enough alone creature, we are not defenseless, and I for one will not hesitate to strike if you lay a single finger on her." Eriel said softly, and looked up, feeling Emrhyst's presence. Eriel grinned as she linked her mind with Reb's, healing her wound from the inside as quickly as possible, but not so quick that the treatment wouldn't help in the long-run.

Re: Silence may save your life Dragonfly stared as the wierd creatures came out of the trees. They were the source of the evil smell. She stood away from them.
"Man, you really smell," she said in disgust. Being as observant as she usually was, Dragon didn't even notice Reb getting shot until Eriel started to heal her. Ben growled at the creatures, while Nicko started barking and lunged at one. "NO!" Dragon shouted and rushed forward, but it was too late. Nicko had ripped out the throat of one of them, but another swung its sword around, and sent him flying into a tree. Dragon turned her gaze onto the thing, not listening to a word they were saying. Her eyes started to glow with an inner blue light, crackling with energy. It built up in her until she couldn't hold it any longer. A huge bolt of lightning flew out of both her hands and struck the creature and three others, throwing them completely across the entire clearing. She froze. "I didn't know I was able to do that." Dragon stared at her hands, then ran over to Nicko. "Oh no," she whispered and picked up his limp body. "Please don't die on me, Nicko, please!" she sobbed. She could detect a faint heartbeat but that was all. Suddenly, Dragon looked up as another dragon flew out of the sky. Re: Silence may save your life Kerstov got up off the ground was amazed at what Dragonfly did. Then he looked up as he heard a dragon flying over them. He pulled out his sword in defense incase any more creatures came or if anything else comes to attack.

Hope you don't mind if Chris joins the fun. IC: Once Dragonfly knew that Nicko was going to be okay, she stood up and brushed herself off. "Thank you!" she said to Reb and hugged her. Dragon then stepped away and looked at the burnt and twisted bodies of the creatures that she had flung across the clearing. "That was awesome! Did you see that? I've got no idea how that happened, but it was totally cool. Actually one time, when I was integrated into Atlantis, I remember the Ohnyaeli were able to do something like that...." Dragonfly prattled on for a little bit, until she sort of sensed something wrong. Is it bad enough to be surrounded by wierd things? No, there has to be more wyverns. Nicko growled and walked over to Kerstov. He was snarling at the creatures. "Careful Nicko," she muttered. There were two dragons in the clearing, but it didn't prevent a wyvern from suddenly lunging down and snapping at the group. Dragon pulled out her bow as fast as she could and shot it, but not before it swooped down and attacked Kerstov. She couldn't tell what was going on, but it wasn't good. The wyvern screeched and pulled up into the air, preparing itself for another swoop. "Leave us alone, will you?!" Dragonfly shouted. Chris didn't know how he got in this wierd forest. All of a sudden, he woke up and there he was. And his twin, Dragonfly, was gone too. He just hoped he was here, too. Chris looked up and flew above the canopy, to see if he could find anything unusual. At first, all there was, was fog and lots of trees. But Chris concentrated and sniffed the air. Something was definitely wrong. He could smell....wyvern, among other things. Chris shot off through the air, following the trail. It wasn't long until he came upon a small clearing in which he could see two dragons and several figures. One of them looked faintly like Dragon....Chris hovered closer, trying to get a better view. Where's the wyvern?he thought to himself as he looked around. Chris suddenly felt as though someone was watching him. He quickly flipped around and sure enough, the wyvern was right behind him. Chris barely had time to teleport of the way when the wyvern flew down and lunged at the group. Oh no you don't, he said and threw one of his boomerang-like blades at its neck. The blade struck it square in the back, and the wyvern flew upward, screeching in pain. Chris quickly shot away the rushed back at its face, causing the wyvern to lean backwards in the air. He then did a barrel roll and dived down beneath it, stabbing the wyvern with his longer blade. He struck it along one wing, and the wyvern lost altitude. Chris teleported so he was above it, but the wyvern still lashed out with its tail and sent Chris flying sideways. The wyvern then turned to the left, favoring its injured wing and bit down on Chris' arm. He yelled out, but managed to teleport away again. He drew out another throwing knife and, using the same trick Dragon did, waiting until it opened its mouth again and threw it. The blade struck it in the throat so hard that it came out the other side. Ick,Chris thought. I did not have to see that. But somehow, the dumb thing was still not dead. It was losing altitude fast, but was circling around to crash into the group of people. Chris drew out his blade w/ his uninjured hand and stabbed it in the neck-again. Finally, the wyvern was dead, and it fell like a ton of bricks. Chris held onto to his blade stuck in its neck as it crashed into the ground, taking out a few of those creatures. The corpse finally skidded to a stop and there was a moments silence. Chris stood up gingerly, making sure nothing else was injured. He quickly regenerated, and the cuts on his arm disappeared. Chris shook out the dirt from his orange-streaked hair, turned towards the group of people,-one of whom was Dragon-and bowed. "I'm here all week," he said grinning. Re: Silence may save your life Kerstov tried to duck as fast as he could, but the wyvern made a large, deep cut into his side. Kerstov screamed out in pain, but tried to continue staying up and defensive so he wouldn't be an easy target. He held his side with one hand and the other held his sword. He was losing a lot of blood, but he was going too unconcious to notice. He then fell to the ground. Kerstov tried to say something so the others would notice this, if they didn't, but was unable to say anything.

Re: Silence may save your life Reb snarled angrily and shot a healing fire into Kerstov's side, and then blasted the dead body across the sky away from them. "Any more unexpected attacks upon us? I want to get out of here and I want out now. The elven queen is gonna die for this one. I'm tired of following her like a dog just so she can hurl me back out. I don't care if I'm caught by her again. I won't bow down to her any more. I'm one of the greatest bounty hunters known!" Reb said angrily.

IC: As Reb was shouting out her thoughts, a whisper and a flicker of movement caught Eriel's eye, then the creatures suddenly disappeared only to reappear near to Reb, the closest one inches behind Eriel, with their swords raised and coming down on Reb. Eriel jumped into their path, using magic to keep her floating while she parried the weapons with her blade. Sparks flew in different directions and a cloud of dust formed underneath Eriel. Emrhyst quickly flew over and placed her talons under her rider's weapon, pushing the creatures away with ease. She laughed. You're pretty weak for 8 footers don't you think? Eriel breathed heavily and got up, releasing the spell as she jumped off. The creatures snarled. "Emhyrst, let the riders dawdle with these beasts. I do believe they can beat them easily." Star Gazer said laughing at the men. If they dared call Reb a girl, they would all die. Star only laughed harder. The leader looked stunned as a fire ball planted its self firmly in his chest and flung him backwards. All beady eyes turned to Reb, who was down in a battle crouch and glaring angrily. "Dare to harm my friend, and you will have us to deal with." Reb warned, her easiness of early gone completely and an angry, woman left behind. One ready to do battle. The other creatures, strong or not all lunged for Reb, but she wasn't there when they landed in a heap. She had done a neat backflip and landed ten feet from them. " So unhospitable." Reb said shaking her head and laughing, knowing Eriel would understand that she needed to vent anger through taunting death in the face. The leader had recovered and called three of his best fighters and they surrounded Reb and Eriel. Reb went straight for the leader, ducking when he swung his sword and slamming her fist straight into his jaw, knocking him back. |

Re: Silence may save your life After Chris's big and flashy entrance, Dragonfly watched as Eriel and Reb got incredibly angry. The all the wierd people suddenly jumped at them. She glared at some of them who looked like they were going to attack her. Dragon concentrated and tried doing something that she could never do-because it never rained. She summoned a cloud of dragonflies.
The entire army of strange people backed up from the glittering cloud of the dragonflies. They swarmed down on them, flying into their eyes and generally annoying them. Dragonfly laughed at them, watching the things run around in circles. Who would want to attack us this bad? Dragon thought to herself as she drew an obsidian blade and stabbed one of them. Ben growled at all of them and leaped at another. "Hey, stop-!" she heard Chris yell. Dragon swivelled around. He had been there, but now she could see them. They were surrounded by weird creatures and dragonflies and she'd lost her friend/brother. A whole bunch of creatures lunged at Reb and Eriel from where they couldn't see them. Dragon, snarled. She was really angry now. She leaped on the back of one, knocking it over and then rolled over and stabbed one in the stomach. Dragonfly got back up, twisting to dodge anothers attack. The creatures fanned out and surrounded her. Dragon saw a flash of something orange-colored in the trees. "CHRIS!!!!!" she yelled. _________________ Bad wolf Bad wolf Bad wolf Bad wolf... |
