Re: wow too many books to read..
Cool, thanks for the suggestion. I have waaay too many books lined up- firstly being forced to read "Lord of the Flies" for school, then I have Moreta: Dragonlady of Pern by Anne MacCaffrey, then The Lake House by James Patterson, and Velocity by Dean Koontz to read lol. I'm also planning to check out the first Twilight book.

Re: wow too many books to read..
So far it's great! I've only read Dragonsdawn from the Dragonriders of Pern series so far, and loved it too, so I'm planning to read the whole lot soon. I'd recommend them to anyone who like sci-fi or fantasy, and who has a long attention span because they take a bit of getting into, but it's worth it.

Re: wow too many books to read..
Well the order generally confusing- but AnnieBee advised me to start with Dragonsdawn.
Basically, the books are set in the future, and people are planning to move to a new planet. Anyway, to cut a long story short, they go and live on this planet called "Pern" and discover like these mini dragons. They genetically modify them to become big and intelligent, because there is this dangerous thing which falls from the sky called "thread" and need people to ride the big dragons and flame the thread. That's the very basic storyline that I know, and there are tonnes of books in the series all set in different periods of time on Pern.

A series you might also like is Book I of Avatars: So This Is How It Ends by Tui T. Sutherland.
CHERUB: The Recruit is awesome
Anything by Darren Shan (Although it seems you already read him :p)
Import the last 2 from England, btw.
Um... Let's think here...
Leven Thumps.
That's about all I can think of atm.
