OOC: I have managed to incorporate at least most of my name into this character lol...His Awakening skill is something I used from a story I am writing. :P

Name: Malazan "The Fallen"

Age: Ancient (He has lost count, but his age greatly exceeds even Rhunon's)

Gender: Male

Race: Fallen Angel

Skills:

Magic: His magic skill is unparalleled. He has had many millennium to refine any mistakes in his magic, and while he isn't perfect with magic, his years of experience and his knowledge of many different kinds of magic adds to his specialization and skill. He even uses Dark Magic, and simply considers the powerful magic dangerous only if it is in the wrong hands. His energy store is great, and he has made a habit of absorbing energy from the life forms around him to replenish his energy. He isn't required to speak in order to activate his magic as well. When his mind was combined with that of a Fallen Angel’s, the Fallen Angel’s knowledge was added to Malazan’s own knowledge as well. Because of his large energy store, it is hardly ever full, so recently, Malazan made a spell that is continuously replenishing his energy store by absorbing energy from nearby plants and animals that can afford energy loss. This doesn’t apply to an animal or being with any type of wards, however. His energy store is similar to that of a couple of Eldunarya (plural form of Eldunari).

Swordsmanship: He doesn't allow emotions to interfere with his fighting ability, and thus remains impassive in a fight. He is much stronger than he looks, and is also really quick, being a Fallen Angel. However, those that are very devoted to the skill can defeat him in swordsmanship.

Mindbreaking: When he was able to suppress a Fallen Angel, his mind gained the defensive ability of Brightsteel. His mind hasn't been broken into once in centuries, and while he cannot attack someone else's mind unless he is in his Awakening, his defensive barriers are extremely powerful.

Awakening: He is one of the few from his village who has managed to hold a Fallen Angel in his body, which gives him one of the most powerful Awakenings in his land. He currently holds the Fallen Angel known as Asmodeus, and while this is one of the most evil, insane Fallen Angels, he refuses to let it interfere with his emotion and mind. Unless, he is in a fight that calls for him to cast his Awakening. It is extremely rare that he is forced to do so, but when he is in a difficult fight, Malazan will allow Asmodeus to take over his body and mind. When Asmodeus takes over, black, feather-like wings sprout from Malazan's back, and Malazan gains speed, strength, and skill. His mental offense remains in the same in that he cannot do it. When angered and in this form, the opponent will know that he or she has angered Malazan because of a powerful aura that resonates from Malazan, which contains all of the evil of Asmodeus. It doesn't really do anything, but it's more of a precaution and example of Asmodeus's evil, which has receded over the millennium. After leaving his Awakening, he is very vulnerable and weak for a day or so, however.

Home Village: Addrush, which is in the land known as Delmenia to the northwest of Alagaesia.

Parents: Father's name is Orsun, and his mother's name is Abigail.

Character Personality: Malazan is one of the few who has managed to suppress a Fallen Angel inside his body, which means that his personality wasn't altered in the slightest except for when he lets Asmodeus take over. In a fight, he often remains emotionless because he isn't one of those rare people who get stronger in the middle of a fight just because of their will and emotions, so he has completely blocked them in order to prevent them from interfering with his instinct. Normally, he is pretty cooperative, and has a generally nice attitude. He is also quite friendly, and is eager to help others. In a normal relationship between a Fallen Angel and some other race, that other race usually gets corrupted by the Fallen Angel. However, in this particular relationship, Malazan has managed to turn Asmodeus for the better over the extremely long time they have been connected. This doesn't mean that Asmodeus is good, however, because he definitely isn't still. When Malazan allows Asmodeus to take over his mind, Malazan has a cold, hard demeanor. Despite Asmodeus being evil, Malazan values the Fallen Angel’s opinion, since they do share knowledge, after all. Asmodeus has thought more than once about Malanzan’s queer personality. Malazan manages to see the good in nearly everyone, and will usually hold back in a fight against someone whom he believes can change for the better. Over the years, Malazan has observed the human’s behavior and considers them to be very arrogant in character.

Character History: Malazan was born in Addrush tens of thousands of years ago. When he turned five, his parents worked him relentlessly in hopes that he would be able to suppress a Fallen Angel inside of his body, which would bring fame to them. Because of the selfishness of their actions, they were banished from the village when Malazan was seventeen. Two years later, he accepted a Fallen Angel into his body. This alone brought him fame and earned him a status of nobility, because only those completely pure of heart can hold a Fallen Angel inside of them and not be driven insane by it.

However, he wasn’t complete yet. In order for one to completely master an Awakening, he or she had to have the blade that synched with that particular Awakening. He was given the challenge of finding one of the four most powerful swords in Delmenia. He left Addrush at the age of twenty-one in order to accomplish this journey. However, it was hidden in a dungeon which had unknown whereabouts. Therefore, Malazan and Asmodeus had to travel from city to city in order to grasp any knowledge about the dungeon, which eventually, he learned was hidden in ‘The Valley of the Fallen.’ He prepared for the journey, which took him across the land of Delmenia to the Valley. Some of the most dangerous monsters in the land plagued this area, which tested Malazan to his limits before he even entered the Dungeon.

Upon entering the Dungeon, he was met with a giant golem. He was able to defeat it, but was wounded a lot in the process. Relying on his withering remains of energy to heal his wounds, he continued on through the Dungeon. He fought several other beings, some more powerful than the Golem, and was marked with future scars when he finally managed to reach the sword. The Dungeon collapsed when he exited it, and he began his way back to Addrush.

He was hailed at his victory, and had finally completed his Awakening. He dedicated almost his entire life later on to protecting his city and the land of Delmenia, which was his duty. Ten years from current time, he left his land in hopes of new adventures, tired of repeating the same pattern of life in Delmenia. This brought him to Alagaesia.

‘The Fallen,’ one of the most powerful blades in Delmenia, and it syncs with the Awakening of the Fallen Angel. It strikes with a churning blue thunder, and can shoot sonic booms that are made from Malazan’s own energy. It is also extremely sharp, and can cut through metals even harder than steel. There are Runes that go down the blade that say ‘The Fallen.’

Likes: Becoming stronger, Asmodeus, protecting others.

Dislikes: He isn’t a fan of useless death, but there isn’t much that he dislikes.

Fears/Weaknesses: Although he keeps this hidden from Asmodeus, he still has a small amount of trepidation that one day, Asmodeus will take complete control of Malazan’s body and mind.

Animal Companion: None

Physical Description: Malazan stands at around 6’1”, and has a thin, lean build. His hair is black and wavy, but is a little spiky at the edges. His face is often in a careless smile, and he wears a black, high-collar coat with black, leather pants and a black t-shirt. His blade is strapped to his back. When Asmodeus has taken over, he sprouts black, feather-like wings and has a cold, hard demeanor that displays Asmodeus’s evil personality. His eyes stand out as a crimson red, and he has a glyph on his hand that represents that he has made a connection with his Awakening.

Dreams for the Future: To find more adventures in life and discover a use for his power.

Reasons for Dreams: He likes an exciting life, and he has a lot of power, but doesn’t have much use for it, so he wishes to find his role in life.

Alignment/Side: He isn’t concerned in the war in Alagaesia.
