I read only Redwall and it kind of didn't ring my bell, so I haven't read any other one in the series. Redwall I read because my boss was picking on me to read something that wasn't from the Young Readers of Teen sections. He recommended the Dragonriders of Pern, and the idiot hasn't read any one of them. This may sound childish and stupid coming from a grandma, but I don't like mice very much. The only mouse I like is Jerry from the Tom an Jerry cartoons.

Since I am not too familiar with the series and read only one, I think that character you're referring to died in Redwall. He was quite a nasty one. Not sure, so don't take my word on it.

Hmm, its pretty hard to choose. Pearls of Lutra is defifintly a good one and so is loamhedge. I like Saro and Bragoon. But Long Patrol would be a close.
