Skills: Animal Training: Able to train most animals such as hunting and riding. Riyana grew up on a farm where her parents bred mostly horses, a most were bought and taken by Galbatorix's men but a small number were smuggled away for the Vardon. Riyana has also had to do with hunting dogs and hawks.
Archery: Riyana has been learning archery since a young age as a means to protect her from men and wild animals. It was a necessity while out alone watching the herds of horses to make sure bandits didn’t show up.
Magic: The ability to perform magic is not something that Riyana has really learnt how to perform yet but the ability is there thanks to Lakota. She has yet to learn how to control it and learn the language that aids in responsibly performing the art.
Flute: Riyana is very good at playing the flute which has her method of entertainment while watching the herd. She can’t compare which elvan artists yet for a self taught human she plays rather well.

Siblings: - She has four older brothers; Fenian, 26, who became a sailor and moved to Teirm, it is rumored that he is also a smuggler. Durian, 24, he became a blacksmith after apprenticing to a man in a smaller village no far from the farm. Next there were the twins who were 22, Garth and Ryder both became treasure hunters searching for unusual artifacts from the time of the original dragon riders. After giving a found egg to Riyana, Ryder decided to stay and guard her.

Character Personality: Riyana is a shy girl, quiet and reserved. She has never had much to do with other people outside of her family since her father preferred she didn’t get involved with either the Empire or the Varden. She has an innocents in her personality and lacks a certain sense of danger which include as a child climbing the to the highest point on a tree just to find out how far she can see of cause she fell and broke her arm. The only thing that she fears is enclosed spaces which during the crueler part of her childhood her brothers took advantage of. Riyana has a creative soul and is very gentle yet she take’s her freedom very seriously. Only now with Lakota has she had to start to learn the dark aspects of life and learning that not all things are fun and games.

Character History:
Riyana’s history is very ordinary; at least that’s what her family likes to hold on to a certain amount of secretiveness. While her parents are rather normal and she is classed as human, her blood is mixed with both elves and dragon riders. Back when the original Dragon riders flew in the air, Riyana’s ancestors flew in the air with them… they weren’t leaders of as well known as some. Lakota was her great grandfather and his dragon Heranous and his wife Liliansi an elvan warrior their child hadn’t been old enough to become a rider when the downfall came. The couple left her grandfather with a relative of Lakota who left to hide away into obscurity. Meanwhile Lakota and Liliansi perished in the war as neither of them were great in their field yet they still had bravery to stay and fight.

Riyana’s grandfather grew up knowing who his parents were tempted to gain the Varden an up coming resistance but instead he met his future wife, deciding he wanted a family rather than spending his life fighting. It was he that started to buy animals and started to breed them, at first it was mostly hawks and dogs because they aided in providing meat for the family and it wasn’t till Terion was born and his siblings that they started to bred horses. This started to gain the attention of others and for years the empire due to their refusal to sell the horses to them stole them. Terion’s siblings left for the Varden and many of them died yet Terion made the choice to protect his father’s farm he would sell the horses to the empire before the decided to shut him down. Yet on the side he smuggled as many horses as he could spare to the Varden.

Riyana family was rather large by the time her grandfather passed away, Terion had married a young girl from Yazuc and had bore four sons and a single daughter. It was easy to get work done and protect Riyana from hardship when there were four sons to help. Riyana was spoilt she was allowed to learn to read and write, she was permitted to play instruments and dance. The only thing her father insisted on was that she learn to use a bow in defense… she was the first girl born into the family for the last three generations. After the boys started to leave to make their own in the world Riyana was given the task of watching the herds and learning to hunt. It was her eighteenth birthday that Riyana was given a dragon egg which Ryder had found on his travels. It was a few days till it hatched and her life started to change and her father started to teach her other lessons.

A dragon rider’s blade: It had been he great grandfather’s sword which glows with an inner light. And has a diamonds embedded into the hilt.

Likes: - She enjoys mostly the quiet things in life, music and arts but her favorite thing is wind in her hair so whether it’s flying and performing acrobatics in the air or rider a horse at full speed over grassland.

Dislikes: - She hated enclosed spaces. It’s her greatest fear and weakness.

Animal Companions: - A hawk named Naron the often flies beside Lakota and her.

Character's Physical Description: Riyana is rather short and petite. Her skin is pale and porcelain like causing her to get easily burnt. She is quick and lithe which helps to account for her lack of strength. She has a dimple of her left cheek which with her curls and size causes confusion about her age.

Dreams for the Future: - Her dreams are for freedom, she wants to be able to learn and see everything.

Reason for Dreams: - She has grown up being shielded from the world, and she has been permitted to left her dreams and ideas flourish she had no passion for battle or picking sides only to live and be let live.

History: Lakota has been dormant in his egg for a long time; he was one of the first eggs to be given when the Dragon riders were only beginning. His parents were of the wild dragons that gave a few of the eggs to the elves. While he slept though all the things that were happening in the world a part of his consciousness stayed aware. His egg had been lost before Galbatorix was even born it was an embarrassing moment for the order but it happened never the less. Some how his egg had been sold many time as a rock. The last person that had bought him had been during the war, he had hid Lakota away so for would steal his jewel and then left presuming he died because he never came back. It was Ryder who found him and gave the egg to his younger sister. It was her spirit and life that encouraged drawing him out. Everyone else had been warrior types yet Riyana sat playing a flute calmly. It was her calmness and innocents that made Lakota chose her. And when she named him after her grandfather another dragon rider he was honored.
Personality: Lakota is the opposite of Riyanna making himself the yin in her yang. He can be more playful that she…. With a love for attention and social interaction. He has more common sense knowing when to act and when to stay hidden. He is interested mostly in action wanting to be part of solution to the problems that plague the land rather than isolating himself. He hasn’t any interests to being just mediocre and strives to be the best than he can be. The main thing that is similar between Lakota and Riyanna is his need for speed and music.

Appearance: Lakota is still very small as he hatched only two months ago, he isn’t big enough for Riyana to ride yet. His got light icy blue eyes and has the same colour on his underbelly. His tail is rather long as he has yet to grow into it.
