I remember being a powerless man that could not control my fate much less that of the people around me. I temember hearing the howls of the wolves and wishing i could run with them. And then came that faithful day when i was attacked by a lone wolf looking for food. It turns out what he called a curse was a blessing to me. I was finally able to run with the wolves not just in my imagination but in reality with four paws of my own. I was no longer a mere man or a victim of fate but a creature of the night, an immortal, A WereWolf.

If its far away he might have trouble connecting to it. Nausadia said that he would have to fight galby by himself as she wasnt letting Du vrangr gata be killed. But if I thought of it, the star rose still might play some part in the third book as Saphira promised to fix it. Perhaps it helps Eragon in some way, but not so sure about it.

But I agree with Meona that the star rose will have an important role to play after Saphira mends it. yeah but even if it was filled or not with energy how is it possible that eragon will have his fight with galby there unless the draves let him live there wich is very unlikely (the dwarf king died) because the varden are at surda and his leigelord is there too, and it is even more unlikely that galby will be intrested in the dwarfs since the varden isn't with them, at least not living with them.

Aren't Saphira's scales gem-like? Eragon could put energy into a few at a time without exhausting or killing himself. By the time he fights Galby, he could have most or all of them with stored enegry. Then they would still have a tremendous amount of power that is always close by. Don't know... Just another crazy thought that is interesting!!
