 Is Murtagh going to die?I'm kind of neutral about him dying (I'm really not sure if I want him to die), but he contributes a lot to the books, and if he died, there really wouldn't be much to the story.

Is Murtagh going to die? i really dont want murtagh to die cause i really like him and it sortta would be a shame 4 hin to die. I agree the story wouldnt have much to it. i suppose eragon might kill him though.

Re: Is Murtagh going to die? I am pretty sure he will get killed and by Eragon. I recall that Murtagh kills King Hrothgar and Eragon vows to kill the rider that killed him to honor King Hrothgar's death. I could be wrong, though.

Let's say that Eragon is killed by Arya because he was bothering too much. Galby slipped on banana peel and Arya is crying on the beach (shore who know, who cares). At that time Murtagh noticed that huge funeral followed with mass executions of banana traders are not good enough to hold whole Galbys empire together. So he came to Islanzadi (elven queen...i think...
 ) with a marriage request. She wants to stop war so she accept his request which makes him doing good things->he's ending the War. Question is - will Murtagh be assasinated because of his weird bond to elven queen or not? To make it look sad let's say yes. By the guy who fought with Eragon because this guy secretly loved queen as well. He committed a great mistake, for sure, but what about the hope in this saga, what about the optimism? But i dont think it will take much for Murtagh to gain Eragons trust once Galbatorix is dead. Eragon dosent seem like a very strong person to me... Re: Is Murtagh going to die? He doesn't die in book three, but the only way it seems to make sense is that he and thorn die. Also if he doesn't die I think he might help the Varden locate and retrieve the Eldunari.
