Then he spotted her diving sharply toward the clouds. Fletcher banked and dived down after her, folding his wings back and using the feathers on the tip of his tail to maneuver. Re: Restless Souls Fletcher closed in on Sevena like a bullet. She never saw him coming. Fletcher lightly tapped her on the shoulder as he whizzed past and then banked away sharply, climbing back into the clouds.
Tag! You're it! Fletcher climbed into a white cloud and hid there, remaining out of sight. He flapped his wings as little as possible and the thick cloud helped to muffle the sound of his wing beats until they were only audible at a short distance. _________________ And then Saphira ate Edward, Bella, and Jacob. Re: Restless Souls Sevena twisted around as soon as she felt the tap, watching him as he zoomed back up into the cloud cover. She laughed. Not for long! she called back, beating her wings powerfully.
She moved with silence, as she had been trained to do, through the air, beating her wings at the absolute minimum that she could handle. Her ears were pricked straight up and her green-flecked-with-gold eyes, searching for anything. She held her breath, trying to still the thrumming of her heart in her chest. There, what was that to her left? She banked slightly in that direction and continued moving silently. She squinted when she saw a dark blob a bit below her, then smiled when she saw that it was Fletcher. She floated forward until she was above her mate. She chirruped at him, then briskly tagged his flank with her tail and dove away. You're it! she cried joyfully, a warbling laugh spilling from her chest. _________________ Eka fricai un Shur'tugal. Re: Restless Souls Fletcher banked and dived after Sevena, not letting her out of his sight. He folded his wings back and dived like a bullet after her. Fletcher quickly pulled up alongside her and tapped her side with the tip of his wing. Fletcher then banked away, dropping straight down. The monastery was directly below. Fletcher kept diving down and at the last second he pulled up sharply, zooming underneath one of the bridges that connected the buildings. The gryphon let out a joyous squawk and corkscrewed through the air. He banked around and flew past Sevena who was still trying to catch up to him.

Re: Restless Souls When he tapped her side with his wingtip she watched, smiling, as he dove and corkscrewed, happy that he was happy. Once he flashed past her again, she arched her back and pulled her body into a backloop, corkscrewing as she did, which was extremely difficult to pull off even for advanced fliers.
She swept after him with deadly speed, grinning. She was right on his tail. She swiped at his tail gently, then dove down, barrel rolling toward the ground. She flared her wings to stop the motion, then grinned to herself. She flipped upside down and pulled in her wings, free falling. Re: Restless Souls Fletcher did a backwards loop and followed after his mate, thoroughly enjoying himself. He felt so alive as the wind rushed through his feathers and fur. Fletcher leveled off just above the treetops.

Re: Restless Souls "I'd like to relax for a bit." Fletcher replied, searching for just the right spot. The shore along the stream was strewn with rocks and reeds. The gryphon looked for a smooth place where he and Seva could relax together by the water. It took a few minutes but Fletcher finally found the ideal spot. He descended and landed gracefully on the bank, folding his wings. The male gryphon curled up right next to the water and rested his head on his front legs, staring into the water and watching the minnows swim about while he waited for Sevena to join him.

Fletcher spent most of the morning with Sevena, relaxing by her side. Finally when the sun was directly overhead, he decided it was tome to return home. Tas and Vena awaited their lessons for the day and Fletcher did not want to keep them waiting. Father, what are we going to learn today? Tas asked, eyes bright with wonder. "Well, I was thinking we'd practice aerial training today." Fletcher replied. The obsidian black chirped at her brother and nudged him toward the door. Come on, let's go! she cried. Sevena watched and had to smile. Vena would definitely be a handful when she got older, but it would be an adventure to go through. She followed her children out with Fletcher beside her. Things were going right for once.
