okay i just read eldest and you know how elves don't eat meat because of the whole thing to do how everything was once living and all that. well anyways my question is, is CP a vegatarian?

although it is a good idea i sorta doubt it cause he well isn't an elf
and he knows how eragon felt when he wanted meat
maybe cp just went through a vegitarian phase as a teenager or something

don't know. i was just reading at the thought kind of popped into my head.

one of my friends went vegetarian for a month after reading eldest, he threw up after he ate meat, so decided to be an elf...kinda wierd huh?

I am just in that stage of my life when i need meat the most so i could never give up meat

Nope, the vege elf thing is common, lots of races in books or on tv don't eat meat.

But as for Cp being a vegetarian, I sort of thought the same thing, along with this: When Eragon and Oromis have their big discussion on the elves's religion, I thought that maybe CP is somewhat athiestic, because he's publishing those arguements for it. What do you all think?

I thought the same thing about him being an athiest, but then when I thought about it, it seemed like Roran felt like he needed someone to call out to. And even Eragon seemed like he was confused.

yeah, he presses both sides, but he does try to mae atheism seem the wisest path. the thing i like about it though, is that the elves aren't like, "there is no god. there are only elves. science is our god. all others are fools. you should all die!" they just don't see any reason or proof that there is higher life.

He said that he wanted people to draw there own conclusions. I don't think he is athiestic or at least I hope he isn't, but i don't think hes anything possibly, im not sure.

CP proberly grew up in a family of veges

Plus lots of gummy sweets have animal gelatin in them, so you would have to give them up as well.

I agree. He wrote about both sides, so I really don't know. I wish I could go vegetarian, because meat has so many toxins, but gosh, I kindda like the taste of the toxins ( at least for now). Maybe in a year, once my teenager is off to college, I'll try the veggie approach.
