I was rereading a bit of Eldest and came to the part where they talk about wild dragons. A thought came to me. Most likely the final battle will take place in Galb's castle, where the dragon egg is. That is most likely to be at the end of the book. Why would CP write more about the unhatched egg. Instead may, when Eragon is traveling to the Vault of Souls or in the Spine he comes across a wild dragon?

I think the last dragon will be tame, or maybe the egg will get distroyed.

The last dragon will hatched only if someone touch it... Either Arya, Roran, Elva, Vanir, or other candidates.. Since the egg is in galbatorix's castle so the egg should be stealed first, or the next-rider-don't-know-yet-who-he/she-is should sneak into the castle to touch it..

That's it! The green dragon are not likely to just hatched on the last 30 pages of the book so there must be a twist on the plot!!

Saphira is tame of coures. Wild dragons dont have riders.

its a cool idea, but remember, saphira, thorn, glaedr, and the egg are the last of the dragons. she can't mate with glaedr or eldest, thats why galby wants her, so he can breed more dragons. she has to mate with the new dragon, and i dont think she would want to mate with a wild dragon.

wild dragons rip you apart, saphira is much more delicate then a wild dragon. i think elva could become one, she has the dragon mark. on her head. blast out brisgnr out of her brain, lol, the picture is so funny.

i think it will be tame. it wont be destroyed because then spahira wont have a mate unless thorn turns good and then the dargon race will be destoryed!!

maybe the last fite will be in the vault of souls, where eragon and glaby r fightin and as hes about 2 die eragon speaks his true name and galby is destroyed, but the last egg is rescued at the start of the 3rd book, cos galby leaves 4 sum reason and jeod leads a group 2 scrowl it bak frm galby, which then hatches 2 either arya/nasada/roran/orik/elva/vanir

i think it will hatch for elva. she should be a rider sense she have a dragon mark.

Been reading alot of post about will 3rd dragon be wild or tame. TAME magical words are spoken over it so it will ONLY hatch when a sutible rider touches the egg.

I... don't quite understand about Wild Dragon. Isn't dragon suppose to be hatched only AFTER someone (the rider wannabe) touch the egg? How could a Dragon egg hatch as a wild dragon then? (I mean without rider)

And one more, between the touch and the hatch will take sometime. What if another person (not the one who touch the egg) lay a hand on the Baby Dragon and receive the Gedwey Ignatia is that possible???
For example, what if, long time ago, instead of Eragon it was Roran who touched Saphira? What if Eragon happen to went hunting or at the bathroom while Roran went to Eragon room and watched Saphira hatched and he touched her??

i personally think roran wouldnt get the shining palm because the dragon was not meant for him.

Roran will get a shining palm(forgotten name) if the dragon is tamed, tamed dragons only hatch for their perosn they were destined for. If its wild then it will be a friendship sort of thing.
