 Eragons swordAll right i cant stand it anymore!!
WTF IS WITH ERAGONS SWORD!!WTF ITS A SAPHIRE INT THE END IN THE BOOK IT SPECIFIES A RUBY HOW DIFFICULT IS IT TO PUT A RUBY INSTEAD!!   THEY SHOULD GO BACK AND CHANGE IT! ITS SO SIMPLE JUST GRR IT'S SO ANNOYING!!

the part that annoys me is that it's blue, but the blade is red. i mean they should at least have the blade blue too!

Isn't blue, the colour of Eragon's magic? Maybe the jewel has turned blue to showed that. Make it cooler when Murtagh takes it from him that it turns red then.

its a red blade, blue stone, which doesn't look too bad, even if its wrong. but if the blade was blue id be mad

I was suprised that the gem was blue. It was the same with LotR when Aragorn did not receive Anduril until the 3rd movie, when in the book it was reforged at Rivendale before they left to destroy the ring. What is it with writers and directors that make them take a great story and add their own takes on things? I have never seen a book turned movie stick to the book. I just hope they don't try to add anything new to the story to justify the blue stone. I hope it was just some prop design person who screwed up.

i think that it looks better with a blue stone than it would in red...becuse it contrasts the colours...too much red looks wierd do they alter it a bit...and i have to say it does look good

HAHA!!! ive seen it! the gem looks plastic! anyway who really cares it jus the sword, there are many other MAJOR storyline changes that are more important. Hmm... the movie doesn't look as good than when i first saw the first trailer but by all means i will still see it.
Loads of clips posted on Shurtugal.com check them out.\ My favoutite is the goodbye seen between Eragon and Arya, even though it really wasn't in the first book it was kind of nice. (though she is a bit too nice to him, by im not one to complain) |

This reminds me of the scene in the book where they are looking at the Isidar Mithrim saying it is a large saphire but it is red. (sorry if off topic, just thought I should point that out)

it would be funny if the blue and red mixed and it became purple. In one bit i cant really remember now but i think you could tell it was painted coz you could see the stroke marks but i cant really remember.

The blade was pertty crappy. It looked ok, but they paint was not that good.
