CP said in his video thing after the release date was announced that a major character was going to die at the end. Here is a forum specially made to discuss who that major character is going to be.

I'm not going to vote yet....Either Murtagh, Nasuada, or Oromis.

you evil person you. Arya is not going to die because Eragon needs her and her future dragon to help him defeat Galbatorix. Then they can become mates etc, etc.

I reckon Oromis and Glaedr will die, as they are very old and their wounds weary them terribly.

I am rather evil. Oromis wouldn't surprise me, he basically said he was gonna die anyway. But I dunno hehe

I don't think Arya is going to die, she has to leave with Eragon when ge leaves Alagaesia, never to return again.

Im fairily certain that its going to be nasuada to die because of what she said in the 3rd book nasuada said "In the event of my death I have chosen you as my successor." (refering to Eragon)
The simple fact that Eragon would then be leading the Varden also seems to fit in place

I chose Oromis and Glaedr because they are, in a way, like father figures to Eragon and their deaths would affect him greatly... Also I think that the fourth book will be primarily action, action, action and I don't really think Oromis and Glaedr would just sit back and watch.

Couldn't Angela die? I would say Nausda or Murtaugh & Thorn. Nausda because yah i agree she should get outa the pic. and let eragon have the varden throne. then murtaugh will die somehow with thorn. Or i bet it won't be anybody listed up there because i think that another new charc. will make themselves become a main charc. Perferably i think Eragon might even be leaving the land because he can't handle some events. which leads me to believe the last rider ( w/ the egg) on the "good" from Varden's eye's will fill in for him. Eragon may find a new land where hence destruction rains or friends lie. here he will die and in memory of him his new friends come save Alagasiea from Galbix. ect. ect. its very confusing but i believe it.

I think that Oromis and Glaedr will die. For one thing, it will leave Eragon feeling hopeless now that two of his mentors have died, which will allow for some good dramactic internal conflicts. But I do think that Murtagh will die, but I don't think that he'll be the mystery death.

ormis and gelader will die any way. ormis said so himself. murtaugh and thorn will die in book four saving eragon. when he does, he will die because he borke his vow, and galby knows his true name. i don't think it will be a new char. because it wouldn't be a main char. if it was new.eragon will be super sad and depressed if ormis dies. it all makes since. ormis and gelader will die. they are old and injored. eragon would have alot of death to cope with.

but ormis dying is so predictable...

oromis is the most likely to die. all of eragon's mentors have died, first garrow then brom(sniff), it only makes sense that oromis will die next.

This is a really good topic. I don't think it will be Oromis; he's too obvious and CP is reknowned for giving twists (right?). I'd say Murtagh and Thorn, although I'm not going to vote just yet.



About the new character thing please no! That would have to be the worst plot I have ever seen (No offense).
And I think the 'Angela is Selena in disguise' theory was proved wrong in the other thread so no, I don't think Angela will die.

It would be no surprise if Oromis die. I hope CP wont make such a show around Oromis death because honestly he's half dead already (i've said that once and someone opposed me, dont worry and come again i'm looking forward another discussion ). I'd say Nasuada is hot number one for leaving this story forever...

Oromis and Galdrear r gonna die, sometime but i dont hinkt that they r the major characters that ill die, i think Murtagh and Thorn will die n Eragon n Saphira will kill them in htte end of book three, this would work in theory as then it would be open for Eragon to fight Galby without having interferance from Murtagh however the new rider could cause problems but i still think that Murtagh n Thorn will die

You know, with the release of the new title and cover, this affirms the assumption that Glaedr and Oromis are going to die in this one. Just think about it: Glaedr on a black background. Perhaps it symbolizes death....?

Oromis and Glaedr. Yoda he is. Die he will at end of third book. Stupid this is. Die of course he will. Paolini good writer, he is, but originality he lacks.

I think the next mayor death is going to be Islanzandi it seems the correct patron in the books. In Eragon the death of Brom was a big impact for Eragon but this is something that Galbatorix’s wanted, then in Eldest was Ajihad and at the end of the book was Hrothgar for me this is a patron to kill all the old people that have battle against him in the past. Doing all this creates new conflict with in the opposition. This is why I think the next mayor death is going to be Islanzandi with this Galbatorix is going to give the elves a great blow and he most be counting with how many of them don’t want to support Eragong because he is not elf. He new by killing Hrothgar is going to create a lot of conflict with the dwarves clans for Eragong in the Vanden

i don't no, i think galbatorix (sorry i don't no how to spell it) is going to find out that roran is Eragon brother and have him kilt, to hurt Eragon metally

Yes, maybe he can't. I really don't think he will, but I don't know why he wouldn't if he had the chance.

That's possibly what I'm thinking. Or maybe she herself tells him not to, because she likes herself the way she is. Or maybe someone like Nasuada or Angela tells him not to, because they know that she will come in handy in the fight against Galbatorix.

No, but you may be onto something. I always thought that she might die protecting Eragon from Galbatorix, but what if she dies protecting Galbatorix from Eragon! After all, she helps anyone who's in danger... ANYONE!

I think the person who will die will be either Murtagh (and Thorn) or Oromis (and Glaedr) But I'm not going to vote yet, as you can only choose one.

I think lots of people might die: Oromis, Izzlanadi, Nasuada, Galbatorixs and his dragon, the Ra'zac, Horst... those are some of my best guesses.

yeah i think galby will die in book four also, if he did die in book three i dont think there would be a need for book four?!!!

Hmmmm, that's a good question. I don't know who would be king if Roran dies. My guess would be Nasuada.

She's leader of the Varden, which is a rebel group. It wouldn't exactly make her a queen.

She'll definitely be the queen. Eragon doesn't want it, and there is always the chance Roran will die, so Nasuada will definitely be the new queen.
