After a conversation with a friend about how he finds it bizarre that I can spend hours in the lotus position without any strain, I've started to wonder about how people tend to sit while still for long stretches, such as in front of their PC, games console or TV.

I used to sit in a slumped back position with my legs resting on my desk, but I've recently adopted the habit of sitting with my legs in the lotus position and my back straight, I find it incredibly relaxing in how it seems to keep my body relaxed yet firm and straight-backed.

My feet are level with my arse, with my computer on my thighs. I raid like this, chat like this, and insult people like this. It's also hell on my back P:

I sit as if I have a tail. Most likely from those draconian dreams, but when I sit, I make sure that there's at least a foot clearance behind my back for no apparent reason. Even though I can have my back to something in reality, it's extremely uncomfortable.
